Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time

Chapter 999: Staging An Assassination

Chapter 999: Staging An Assassination

The Jiangshi themselves were sect property, but command authority had been granted to the elder long ago.

No one found that unusual.

Many elders possessed direct control over specialized units.

And naturally...

No one knew Han Yu could still command them.

The Jiangshi patrolled Heart Peak day and night. They moved through halls, courtyards, residences, storage areas, and defensive routes. Disciples had long since grown accustomed to them. They were part of the scenery now. Most people barely even looked at them.

That familiarity made them perfect.

Han Yu sat within his chamber while his soul quietly spread outward.

Several Jiangshi received orders.

They moved.

Slowly.

Naturally.

No sudden actions.

No strange routes.

Just ordinary patrol movement.

Their destination gradually shifted.

Toward one of the larger palace residences within Heart Peak.

Legacy Disciple Bai Langya’s residence.

Han Yu had no deep reason for selecting him.

Convenience was enough.

The patrol route already passed nearby and the Jiangshi assigned there happened to be strong ones. All of them stood at Nascent Soul equivalent strength. Of course Han Yu knew killing Bai Langya through brute force would be impossible.

The man was terrifyingly resilient.

His title, White Behemoth, was not empty boasting.

Beyond his Dao Shell cultivation, Bai Langya possessed an ancient beast bloodline. Years ago, while still an Outer Court disciple, he had found a bloodline crystal within an ancient ruin and assimilated it.

That single opportunity had changed his fate.

The bloodline granted immense physical power.

Beast transformations.

Wind manipulation.

Monstrous durability.

At full strength, Bai Langya could transform into an eight meter tall white beast covered in fur with ten great horns rising from his body.

Many had challenged him.

Very few had succeeded.

Yet Han Yu smiled faintly.

Because Bai Langya himself did not know the identity of the bloodline he carried.

The records had disappeared long ago.

Even the sect archives lacked them.

Han Yu only learned the truth because of Madam Cold Fang. Through Qing Luan, the information eventually reached him. The bloodline belonged to the Ten Horned Typhoon Beast.

An ancient creature capable of reaching immortality.

A species extinct long before the Blood Sect had even been founded.

And every beast had weaknesses.

This one was particularly absurd.

Ivory Stem Dandelion.

A mid grade medicinal flower.

Used in stabilizing pills.

Healing formulations.

Qi calming medicines.

Completely harmless to humans.

Its scent could not even be perceived by ordinary people.

Yet for a Ten Horned Typhoon Beast...

It was poison.

Not ordinary poison.

Death.

Han Yu had spent three months gathering enough of it.

Now the flowers lay hidden inside storage rings.

His soul moved.

The Jiangshi entered a courtyard.

Another turned toward a side path.

A third passed beneath a pavilion.

No one noticed.

Within Bai Langya’s residence, the Legacy disciple sat alone.

The man cultivated quietly.

Azure Wind Qi drifted around him.

Occasionally traces of beast aura leaked from his body.

Han Yu watched silently.

Then the first step began.

One Jiangshi entered a storage room used by guards.

Its fingers moved.

A hidden packet appeared beneath a shelf.

Inside rested powdered Ivory Stem Dandelion.

Another Jiangshi entered the kitchen area.

More powder.

A third moved toward the cultivation courtyard.

Again.

Powder.

The process continued quietly.

Tiny amounts.

Enough.

Han Yu understood something important.

The flower only worked in raw form.

Refined medicine lost the effect.

Thus he preserved everything naturally.

The fragrance slowly spread.

Imperceptible.

Invisible.

Bai Langya continued cultivating.

Minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

Then the man frowned.

His breathing shifted slightly.

Han Yu watched carefully.

The beast bloodline had reacted.

’Good.’ Han Yu thought.

The effect worked.

Bai Langya opened his eyes.

He looked around.

Confusion appeared briefly.

He sensed discomfort.

A strange pressure.

Yet no danger.

No poison.

Nothing abnormal.

His spirit sense swept outward but the residence remained peaceful. The Jiangshi continued patrols and Guards stood watch. Everything looked normal.

The man closed his eyes again.

Han Yu smiled.

Another hour passed.

The scent accumulated.

Bai Langya’s beast bloodline stirred violently now.

Within his dantian, white energy fluctuated.

The man suddenly coughed.

He opened his eyes again, though this time blood stained his lips.

His expression changed.

"What..."

He stood immediately.

His aura burst outward.

Outside, several disciples noticed.

"Senior Brother?"

No answer came.

Inside the residence, Bai Langya staggered.

His vision blurred.

The beast bloodline within him raged.

White fur suddenly appeared over one arm.

Then vanished.

Transformation instability.

Han Yu watched silently.

Not yet.

He still needed the assassination.

Still needed the evidence.

Still needed the hidden faction.

The Jiangshi received their next order.

Three of them entered the residence simultaneously.

Guards noticed.

Too late.

The Jiangshi moved.

Their eyes glowed crimson.

"INTRUDERS!"

The shout echoed.

Inside, Bai Langya turned.

His expression twisted.

The bloodline instability had already weakened him.

The first Jiangshi attacked.

Then another.

Then a third.

The battle erupted instantly.

Explosions shook the residence.

Walls shattered.

Disciples rushed over.

Elders sensed the disturbance.

Han Yu remained seated within his chamber.

Calm.

Watching.

The assassination had begun.

And this time...

The hidden faction would finally draw blood.

The battle erupted so suddenly that many people around Bai Langya’s residence could not even understand what they were seeing.

The Jiangshi that had entered the residence attacked without hesitation, their movements swift and coordinated as if directed by a single mind. Clawed hands slashed through the air, cursed energy surged, and the halls within the residence exploded apart one after another.

Bai Langya roared.

The man staggered out from a shattered wall, blood still staining the corner of his mouth while his aura fluctuated violently. The hidden effect of the Ivory Stem Dandelion had already begun eroding the ancient bloodline within him and now his body was acting strangely.

White fur appeared over one arm.

His right shoulder expanded.

One horn emerged from his forehead before shrinking again.

The transformation refused to stabilize.

"You bastards!" Bai Langya roared.

Wind erupted around him.

A massive claw covered in white fur formed and smashed down toward the nearest Jiangshi.

BOOM!

The Jiangshi shattered apart instantly.
