Chapter 456: Conflict (8)

Chapter 456: Conflict (8)

Facing Silas’s order, everyone including the White Family Patriarch and the Green Family Patriarch quickly obeyed.

They knew that Silas is very powerful and they didn’t want to offend him.

"Is Fourth Head inside?" Silas suddenly asked.

"Yes, he’s inside," the White Family Patriarch quickly replied.

"He’s unlucky." Silas could sense that the Fourth Head of the Wansu City’s magic signature was fading away. This meant that the Fourth Head of the Wansu City might have been sacrificed within the ghost realm or he was dying.

Either way, the Fourth Head of the Wansu City has been doing a good job in this matter.

To a certain degree.

Silas would not say that the Fourth Head of the Wansu City is a good person, though. He didn’t like the Fourth Head of the Wansu City and will never like the other party, be it as a person or as the leader of Wansu City.

Either way, Silas would not feel anything even if the Fourth Head of the Wansu City were to die within the ghost realm.

The others also didn’t say anything.

After what had happened before, the Green Family Patriarch has some opinion about the Fourth Head of the Wansu City. One of the causes of his death was because of the Fourth Head of the Wansu City’s order.

This made the Green Family Patriarch wonder whether the Fourth Head of the Wansu City did it on purpose or not.

But he’s the other party’s disciple.

This made it unacceptable for the Green Family Patriarch.

As for the White Family Patriarch, he had long disliked the other party, so he would not care too much about him. Besides, the White Family has been quietly suppressed in the past few years, which was very troublesome for the White Family Patriarch.

His interest kept on being interrupted by the Fourth Head of the Wansu City.

Silas didn’t pay attention to this matter anymore and gleaned at Nathan, who had already retreated. Lilac, Keiran, and Rena were also with the other party.

They should be fine for the time being.

There were no other ghost masters nearby and Aya had already disabled the teleportation formation to prevent others from taking advantage of this formation and came here suddenly.

Swish!

Aya stood in front of Aren, looking at her brother calmly.

To be honest, Aya never understood why there were no history records about herself and Aren in the history book. Their description was very brief, signalling that the family of the original White Family Patriarch had passed away.

Aya could still remember feeling deeply unwilling when she thought about the fate of dying like that.

So she worked hard on her own. Thanks to her knowledge in her previous life, she managed to advance very quickly and now she was already at the peak of rank 8.

And Aren...

To be honest, Aya didn’t have much of an impression of Aren. When she was young, the White Family Patriarch would prevent her from interacting with Aren and not letting her get close to his place. At that time, Aya was confused about the White Family Patriarch’s order.

No matter what, the two of them were siblings and it would be strange to prevent them from meeting each other.

After Aren grew up and started going to school, the White Family Patriarch seemed to relax this arrangement a little bit, allowing her to contact Aren. However, their interactions were still limited since she was busy with her own training and mission while Aren had to go to the academy.

In this way, years passed without them having much interaction with each other.

"You suddenly joined the ghost masters’ association... Do you want to live for a short period of time and then make a big splash?" Aya asked quietly.

When she saw that Aren had become a ghost master, this was what Aya first thought.

Because she knew very well that Aren’s life force’s problem was innate and it might be related to his physique. He only has a short time to live and if he dared to use the remaining life force to become a ghost master, Aya guessed that Aren wanted to make a big splash right before his death.

Just so that he could fulfill his desire and make his life more meaningful.

But is it really that meaningful to kill so many people?

Aya looked at Aren in front of her quietly.

"I guess that everything is your plan."

Aren pursed his lips and didn’t explain.

But Aya didn’t wait for Aren to explain and simply raised her hand. The next moment, a stone floated out of Aren’s side towards Aya.

"The ghost realm’s core... I guess you have been taking it under you and planned for this whole thing to happen," Aya said quietly.

She had guessed as much when she sensed the ghost realm core from Aren. He might be lucky that he found it somewhere or he was tempted by the ghost hamsters to become a ghost master himself.

No matter which one it is, it is a fact that Aren has become a ghost master.

"Give it back!" Aren’s face changed when he saw the ghost realm’s core in Aya’s hand. But when he wanted to step forward, he realized that it was impossible. He seemed to have been nailed on the spot by some invisible pressure.

Thinking about this, Aren’s expression twisted.

He had already signed a contract with these ghosts but he still couldn’t defeat his sister, which was ridiculous in Aren’s opinion.

How could his sister be so strong?

Under Aren’s confusion and unwillingness, Aya looked at the ghost realm core in her hand then injected mana. She forcibly erased Aren’s mark and with her control over the ghost realm, she simple paused everything that happened inside.

Aren’s expression changed when he sensed that he was no longer connected to the ghost realm.

They said that no one can take the ghost realm core away from him after he had it.
