Chapter 475: Potential Beast
Chapter 475: Potential Beast
The little jade green moth leg was something that was considered ultras rare. But that was not the only part of the analysis that Clark was caught by. The rest of the analysis was very useful because it went in to some detail about the jade moth overall.
'Jade moth leg- ultra rare
This small green piece is often thought to be a scarp from jewelry makers. It is actually a fallen leg from a jade moth. A very rare insect type beast that only lives in deep caves. This is because it needs to feed open a very rare form of vibrant green algae.
In the larval form, the jade worm must consume this algae every single day or else it will lose all of the energies within its body that it needs to form the green water silk cocoon phase.
The jade moth can be bred as a very unique beast that can use the water energies around it along with be acclimated over time to a secondary energy. Even more so, there are tamers that are able to breed the jade worms to become a beast with three affinities before it is able to grow any further. The methods to do so require a great deal of resources and attention.
The jade moth leg can be used to create a very rare potion called the jade body potion. This potion is ideal for causing growth in the skin and bones of any living being with skin and bones. It is valuable to those that wish to increase their resistance to attacks both physical and magical.
Not many know this, however, many alchemists with more money than they can handle had invested massive sums to create a jade alchemy moth. The process is considered the most difficult and was only recorded as possible twice in the last hundred years.'
Valuable information was valuable information. From what Clark was reading about just a leg, it was too much!
A potion that could increase the strength of bones and skin so that the resistance to energies would be better? That the physical resistance to physical attacks would be better? This was something that the entire group needed. If they didn't have it then they would need more time to create stronger bodies. The only issue was having the potion made.
While Clark didn't worry about the cost, he worried about the alchemists. For the best possible outcome, it was better that Clark passed the jade moth leg to Isa so that she could start using her mercantile magic to be able to find the best person for the job.
The chances of having enough potions from this one jade moth leg for everyone were much better if Clark stepped back and let Isa handle things.
Otherwise, the information about the jade moth was valuable. They lived in deep caves and the jade worm lived in water pools with vibrant green algae. Furthermore, it was already a water type beast that could leave after it became a moth. What the key was though, was the fact that it could take on more elemental energies.
This alone meant that the jade worm was somewhat incomplete as a beast naturally. Its body couldn't contain energy properly. This meant that it had to eat consistently to remain alive. But if Clark was able to find an egg of one and then learn more, he might be able to complete a perfect growth plan for one.
Then there was the matter of a jade alchemy moth. Something that the system clearly added a little more information to! The increased intelligence had not seemed very important, but the system had already proven to be mysterious and full of hidden information. This right here was just more proof of that.
Now that Clark had a direction to go, he could pursue the jade alchemy moth growth plan to ensure that Maria had an ideal alchemy partner. With this, Maria would have Lit to heal and fight with, the Midnight eel to protect her in the shadows, then the jade alchemy moth to ensure she could pursue the top of the alchemy world.
It was the perfect three beasts that Maria would need without getting another for the rest of her life if she wanted.
Other than all of this, Clark was able to figure out that many of the things that came with this beast were just plain expensive. If so many of the world's highest alchemists had so much money to just throw around, then that meant that maria would eventually reach that level. But why were the highest of alchemists stuck on getting a better?
The smallest of hints that alchemists would spend a lot of money and resources meant that there were alchemists that had not improved. Whether it was because of their own skill of their beasts didn't matter. The fact that they wanted a specialized beast was a big deal. It all meant that with this beast, Maria would be able to grow faster and eventually go beyond where the stuck alchemists were.
Both were good future outcomes.
Clark's eye suddenly darted to the other side of the bulk sale pile he had just found his first treasure in. it wasn't that he had seen something good, but he heard some fighting. When he caught on to the situation, he realized that two people had grabbed opposite ends of an item and tried to take it away.
'Earth worm snake skin- rare
The earth worm snake is a snake that looks exactly like a common earth worm. However, it is an earth type beast that many struggle to find because of its incredible ability to hide from larger beings. It is also able to subsist of purely earth energies. This makes the shed skins it leaves behind as valuable materials for alchemy, forging, and beast advancement.
The can grow significantly larger than many would think, however, at that point, they will often use the earth energies in their bodies to forcefully evolve, grow, or take a different path that loses their current form. This is why the larger the earth worm snake skin is, the more valuable it can be.'
It was useful information to have since Clark had never considered looking for such a beast. Not that he would want to have one since he wasn't sure how it would mesh with the others. That was if he ever got another best in general. He liked that Shy, Crim, and Devi got along well and feared that he would break that up by casually getting another beast to join his little family.
"Maria?" Clark caught Maria heading right for him. It appeared that she had found everything she needed and was looking for the others.
"I just finished up, are you done searching through things?" Maria looked at the pile of what most would assume was junk.
"I think so, the other people here are fighting over things. I managed to find one good thing and learn a lot. I also helped the others here and there. I managed to grab some beast eggs too. Isa will take care of them." Clark kept the information of the jade alchemy moth to himself. He wasn't sure if he would even be able to figure out how to get to the deeper caves at their level.
"Good! We can go to the entrance and wait for them. I saw Ella heading there already. I bet that the others won't be long." Maria had gone looking for Clark to see if he would still be digging out gems. But she also saw the chance to spend a little more time with him as they walked about the area.
"I was thinking that we could go to Purple's family mansion after this. The others might want to return to training while Isa is doing her thing. But I think it will be better to make sure we see Purple. I assume he will end up finding us if we don't go visit soon." Clark had promised that he would see Purple. It would be a good chance to train or just speak to someone more familiar with Terra City.
"You did seem to hit it off with him. I bet that he and his beast are stronger now. You had a very good match." Maria had heard a few people talking about them after seeing their Nova academy robes while they had been in Terra academy training. The students clearly heard all about Clark and Purple fighting. Rumors were rumors, but these were fairly good.
"I agree. He is a good rival to have. I just worry that we will start to run out of time. I have a few more things that I want to do while I'm here. I will ask him for some advice. I have to get some information about dungeons and the caves.
Especially how deep they go. Then I need to make sure that i am hunting down specific materials for-"
"Yes yes yes. Specific materials for everyone's beasts. But you also need to relax and try to breath instead of use all the air for rambling." Maria snapped Clark right out of it with a little laugh at the end. It brought a smile to Clark's face. It was always good to know someone was caring about you.
