Chapter 458: First Stop is?
Chapter 458: First Stop is?
The entrance way was not crowded as well. Many brightly colored oriental plants grew that ensured a feeling of calm as the group entered. They found themselves in a very well made entrance garden with multiple attendants around waiting to greet new customers.
"Welcome to the hidden opal inn, are you here for a reservation or to ask about a room? We also have a bath service available if you would like to purchase a bath ticket?" The question came quickly, but the man in charge seemed to have spotted customers with just a glance. This was a man used to running his business and getting through the day with as much efficiency as possible.
"We are here to inquire about two rooms side by side. One for the boys and one for us girls. We want to have a plan that includes daily baths along with meals. We might not always eat every meal, but we will have someone present here to collect the food at the least. We also would like to have extra keys for all of us since our training might be different.
How much would that cost us?" Isa was the one for the job when it came to this sort of thing.
Her back and forth with the attendant went for just a few moments before Isa turned back around smiling at the group. The attendant started to lead the toward a side corridor that was lined with nice paintings and pleasant smells of flowers. The two rooms were spacious and lacked bedding.
"While these rooms lack the traditional beds, they have floor rolls. It has a decreased cost but also comes with the benefit of being the closest to the baths. Normally this room is used for temporary stays of larger groups. However, since you have requested it, we are more than willing to allow you to stay here for up to two weeks.
I also can have the food prepared to be dropped off here three times a day. Furthermore, you will be allowed to use the back gardens for meditation. Many of our guests come here for the peace and quiet of the gardens."
How Isa had convinced them to give the group larger rooms was on no ones' minds. They were instead focused on the fact that they could see a large pond of warm water that bubbled from time to time. It was surrounded by many rocks and clearly fed in to the baths past a larger wall for privacy. The fact that they were so close meant that they could go from training to the baths then right to bed.
It was great and kind of lazy. But it all meant that the group could push one another to an even further level without worry that they might fall asleep in a bath or something.
"Thank you very much. We will see you later." Isa sent the attendant off and she turned to the group while handing the keys out. "We are all set to start with what we need." Isa was proud that they had a good spot to rest and relax now. Especially now that she had seen how great the luxury was here.
"Lost the beds for some convenience, yeah, that's fine." Brad started to take out his personal bedding from his spatial ring. He was just about tired enough to collapse right there. He wanted a good rest since he still wandered around with extra weight on himself to strengthen his body further.
"Hey! Don't sleep on that, the inn has a laundry service. We are having everything cleaned and made spotless. Especially your stinky bedroll!" Isa immediately started yelling to get everyone to drop all their dirty bed rolls, clothes, and anything else that the inn could wash for them. This made the start of the night a little more dramatic. But all in good fun.
The group ended up taking their time to head to the baths and relax. The food they brought ended up being very good. It appeared that a lot of root vegetables were common here in Terra. Not that it was a bad thing. These foods were new to the group and made them a little more educated on what other cities might have to offer. Crystal light dimmed through the entire city while sounds died down.
This was the planned night time for those that needed sleep. It was very peaceful and no one would even realize they were underground.
By the time the soft crystal glow brightened, Clark had already woken up and walked through the large back gardens. The hidden opal inn had gone through a lot of work to ensure that this was all well made. The space they used showed a very clear intent to make a peaceful garden with many paths and peaceful places to sit and meditate.
Furthermore, the plants drowned out any sounds of the bustling city. It was going to be a good place to sit later.
When he returned to the rooms, Clark found that he was not the only one getting up early. While it appeared that Brad was the last one to have woken up, the others had already managed to get food and were eating. They even had already made the decision that they would head to the Terra academy first before anywhere else.
"So the academy is the first stop? I was planning to head out and find purple. But to be honest, I thought Isa and Ella would drag us to the merchant area. Especially the bulk sale area." Clark teased a little but felt that he was being pierced by multiple glares. He knew he had spoken a little too much because now he might get torn apart with everyone wanting to go different directions.
"The bulk sale area would be bad today. Didn't you see how short the lines were yesterday? It wasn't a big day for any goods to move around the city. We need to wait at least another day before a large number of merchants will buy and sell things. That is the day when the merchants will get whatever they can before they leave the city." Isa had the basic flow of goods memorized.
Since there had been so few merchants entering the underground city, it meant that they had to prepare to leave still. Therefore, one or two days was perfect for them to be able to do so. Meaning, the highest sale day would be in about two days.
"If we are going to the academy, wouldn't it be better to have someone who knows it as a guide? Why don't you want to meet up with that guy and his beast?" Ralph was sure that Clark would want a rematch too. Clark had praised Purple's battle style and strength. Yes it made Ralph a little jealous but still, a good sparring partner was important.
"I doubt they'd go to the academy. Purple is important here, we already learned that from the first attendant at the checkpoint above ground. It means he probably has a private training area we would get dragged to. So we see the academy first to see a few things." Maria had already caught on to Clark's thought process. This was indeed the better option here.
"So we are heading to see another academy. I wonder what it will be like. They are going to have a ton of earth type beasts around, right? That means they will have to have a lot more space to be able to train them. Earth beasts can get kind of dirty." Reese was under the impression that the earth beasts would require a lot of space to test their earth skills.
But that depended on their control, so it might not be the case.
"I just want to see how they train. Every single student was more physically powerful than the average student when we saw them in Nebula." Brad had his main focus clear. But his focus was what everyone should have focused on. They all needed to strengthen their bodies.
"First come first. We need to get tougher. Some of us are letting our beasts become the strong ones here." Grace knew it wasn't necessarily her, but she wanted to be upbeat and ready to get stronger too. Especially since they could rely on Maria and Lit for their recovery.
"We are going to be using Ella's brother's techniques. Aren't we? So we need to stop for potions and maybe a few other medicines." Jerold made sure they remembered to stop at a potion shop.
"Oh! That means we can look for advice on another beast related to alchemy. Maybe even a few more books on making potions and medicines?" Maria glanced at Isa and Clark. She didn't even have to ask twice to get a nod of approval from both. They also wanted to ensure that there would be a source of medicines within their own group.
Buying more and more would get costly, especially the high quality medicines that the group would need when they took on even more dangerous opponents.
