Spirit Taming

Chapter 368: Step By Step Plans

Chapter 368: Step By Step Plans

Various beasts were seen that made the audience and students of the other academies flinch. They knew that there was a lot of danger in this battle but the fact that there had been a complete agreement to face the battles two to eight made everyone wonder just how crazy these students were.

The Ethereal academy students all hung back watching their targets. Some of them had even started to argue about who got to kill them. But this was the perfect example of how far the students had gone. How twisted they really were.

Some had clearly been tortured or fallen victim to the beasts they were born with or had tamed. But some had been forced to take their beasts and bond with them. This could be seen in a few of them that had wounds from their own beast and were just there to hold on to the energy and help the beast grow.

While others that used poisons seemed as if they had intentionally used their beast to kill before. One such was the green tree frog. The size was massive and the tamer continuously threatened the others with swallowing them alive if they dared take her targets. It was an appalling show that made many want to clean up the criminals that surely made up the entirety of Ethereal academy.

"Start step one," Ella said this and watched as her earth prince sank in to the ground. The earthen and metal body it had created seemed to disappear as if it had never been there. The only sign that it had even been there was a metallic set of spikes where its head had been. The strange shape that had made up a crown on its head made of ores.

"Begin step two," Ella said this and the Nebula academy student grinned. The fire half of Gemini moved next to the blue flames skeleton while the ice half of Gemini moved in to the living mist. Together the heat and cold seemed to be growing in density around one another with the Nebula tamer at the center.

"That's step three." Ella let the spirit infant float in the air. It seemed to be waiting calmly for the right moment. This stunned the audience since they had expected some major attack. Instead, Ella was just calmly listing steps as if this was just some part of a game or a project.

"Ughhhhh! Just kill them! I don't care who does it now!" the ethereal academy student roared with their annoyance at waiting. The girl with the green tree frog couldn't hold them back. Instead of becoming angrier and killing her own accomplices, she had chosen to attack faster so that she would get the prey first.

She wasn't going to give up on them since she knew she was the strongest when it came to size and strength there.

Murderous eyes were fixed on Ella and the Nebula academy student. But if anyone were to pay any attention, they would see that the Nebula academy student was grinning like a madman. The energy between the four beasts seemed to be reaching a peak and clashing more and more as it condensed around them.

The grand view of the entire arena was one that was being influenced by extreme heat and extreme cold. One side had dried and become arid while the other had formed ice crystals. But the madness that had taken the ethereal academy students in their vicious frenzy stopped them from noticing even the slightest changes.

"Please cry," Ella asked her spirit infant to do this just as the ethereal academy students had cut the distance in half.

The single piercing cry of the spirit infant caused spiritual energy to radically boost the energy of the four beasts growing their energy, but it was also the signal that the earth prince needed to move. Not that anyone but a few had figured this out until now.

With the entire arena suddenly rumbling, the ethereal academy students could barely hold their balance. That was until they were shocked to see that they had just been caged by walls of toughened earth. The spiritual energy had assisted the beasts it was directed at with gaining energy. The spirit infant might lack the strength to fight head on, but it had incredible buffing abilities.

That alone could change a battle for the best.

"And now we use step four." Ella watched as the Nebula academy student grinned.

"Finally! Let's crush them!" The sudden heat that shot out first was enough to make anyone wonder if the ethereal academy students would survive. Concentrated blue flames had grown and shot in to the contented earth heating it rapidly.

"And with that, we close the show with step five." Ella gave her order and the living mist along with the other half of Gemini directed all the ice, water, and sheer cold at the same spot. The radical, hot and cold fighting within the confined space was causing untold damage to the ethereal academy student's bodies.

Regardless of how strong they were or what type of beast they had, this dramatic change in temperatures flowing in continuous strife was beating them. Many who understood this looked at the attacks with horror. This was a literal trap that forced someone in torture.

Screams couldn't even be heard over the steam that was escaping from the earthen walls as the heat and cold rapidly fought against one another. It was only for a moment that the hot and cold were forced within this trap, but it was enough.

Earth walls shattered and revealed the sight within. The earth prince had stopped upholding the walls since it could sense that it was no longer needed. Burned flesh and skeletal figures were all that the audience could see within the crumbling walls. "That's! Ethereal academy had been eliminated in one move!" The referee was stunned as well.

"That was very well executed." Ella looked at the Nebula academy student that was standing and swaying side by side.

"Oh, I didn't realize that it put that much strain on you. I'm sorry for not realizing." Ella did feel a little bad when she saw the Nebula academy student fall flat on his face and his beast return to him. But she was sure that he had understood the risks in this battle.

"And that's the Nebula academy student down by energy exhaustion. The third year battles are over and they didn't even have to start!" The referee was blown away. But when Clark looked at Ella, he saw that she was growing more and more pale as her beasts returned to her. It had taken a massive toll on her as well.

Not only had the Nebula academy student used the clashing energies within his body to focus the added energies that Ella had provided, but he had used his energy all at once causing him to lose his consciousness. But Ella had split herself to help all of her beasts. She had used energy through all of them at multiple times with higher output.

Not many people would be able to handle that physically and mentally. It only went to show how advanced she was.

"Don't mind me." Clark called Crim and jumped from the student section. The wings that formed behind him as Crim changed from were enough to make him land softly. Just as Ella walked off of the arena, she fell right in to his arms. Healers running behind him while many of the students from Nebula and Nova cheered. They had never imagined such a plan had been made.

"Perfect execution and perfect planning. If you told me that you had the highest intellect in the academy I would tell you you were wrong. You might have the highest out of all the academies." Clark meant his compliment and heard the slight laugh from the exhausted Ella.

"She just needs energy supplementing potions. She has used too much. My academy will take her to a room." Clark saw that Maria was right by his side in just a minute helping him carry Ella to the healer's hall where she could rest.

"I didn't even know that Nebula had such a tamer and beast. That Gemini will be pretty damn powerful one day." Clark could only keep praising what he had seen. He hadn't imagined any of it would happen.

"I wish Ella had warned us. That was very intense." Maria sounded like she wanted to go back and watch it again.

Yes, they had just seen multiple people die, but these were criminals. People who had surely killed before. Been twisted in the worst ways. Had been raised as weapons to kill others. People who intended to kill every participant they faced. Not a single member of the audience could say that they were unhappy to witness the death of evil monsters like that.

But what they were all talking about was the flawless execution of a plan that obliterated multiple enemies that would normally cause untold damage in one on one fights.

"Ella's plan was perfect. She might have already passed out, but Ethereal academy would have never missed that chance." Clark smiled as he analyzed the situation in his head. He would remember the way that Ella had thought and how she had definitely changed her battle style to supplement other beasts. Let alone the information gathered to make that all happen.

"Don't tell me you are getting jealous. Ella might just be the best battle strategist Nova academy has in the next hundred years." Maria didn't think her bold claim would hold much water, however, she was predicting the future better than she knew.
