Chapter 273: Gathered Materials and One Loss

Chapter 273: Gathered Materials and One Loss

'Hammer tail lizard egg- common

The hammer tail lizard egg is covered in a rough stone striation pattern. This is the best way to identify the tough scales that this lizard will have…

Hammer tail lizard…

Hammer tail lizard…

Hammer tailed lizard egg- uncommon

This is the egg of a female hammer tail lizard. It has the striations like stone but also small cracks on the outermost shell of the egg. It signifies that it has already begun to grow larger than a normal male hammer tail lizard. It will give the hatchling an edge to grow larger faster as its survival rate is higher….'

"This one right here will be female. It has some cracks on the outer shell. That means it is already growing larger than the other infants within the eggs. We can have Isa lower the temperature so that it will go dormant. Actually, Isa, lower the temperature on all the eggs so we can store away the dormant eggs." Clark wanted to ensure that they safely reached the northern city.

any of the taming experts would lower the temperature of eggs. This was because a change in temperature so drastic would make the eggs feel as if they were in a dangerous situation. Many could hatch in varying temperatures but a sudden change caused their instincts to take over and go dormant. Then when the temperature changed back to a normal slowly adjusting flow, they would begin to hatch again.

' cracked ore - uncommon

The cracked ore is a unique ore that is similar to iron. It can be made in to an ingot but has a very brittle structure. It can easily shatter and become sharp shards if heated properly. The ideal use for this is within stone bombs made by some tamers whose beasts can create unique substances. But these are rare enough that making them is considered a large achievement.

High iron- ultra rare

The high iron is considered the best iron that can be found. It has no ulterior energies within it but does contain a strong metal energy. It can be used to largely strengthen any beast that consumes it and possesses the metal typing. But it can also be forged in to a weapon that channels pure metal energy.

Tinkling copper- uncommon

Twinkling copper revived its name because when it is in stone, it will have a brilliant copper shine to it. Many miners found it by walking through caves and looking through cracks using a light. The twinkle of the copper would show them that the mine was worth beginning to work in. it is mostly found in mountain areas and is rarely found anywhere else.'

The ores that Clark looked at next seemed to be fairly high quality. The high iron was the best of the eating and would make the possessed helm grow very well. It would also be good for Reese's beast to consume.

However, the best use would be to open a unique taming space for Brad. he would be able to open a better taming space with even a small piece of high iron. Yet, Clark had a pile in front of him that was much larger than a bowling ball. It would be perfect for feeding the possessed helm and also creating a powerful taming space.

The other two ores were just unique in a sense that they were not traded enough to be well known or they were not native to this area. It made sense that Ella was a little stumped about them. Isa did appear to recognize them but was lost as to what they were or used for. It meant that she had just seen them in passing and never sold them before.

The three quickly began to write out descriptions and other information based on them. Isa and Ella were shocked yet again to see what Clark knew. They were both like students learning from a wise professor who could share much more with them.

"We will have to hire someone to break down all the beast bodies that we have when we get to the north. I have a feeling that we will just get more. I will handle that. I have some connections that will get us discounts." Isa was ready to use her family name to get what she needed. The more money she could make them the better.

"Shouldn't we learn how to break down a beast better? We have only started on small water rats and the basic green bull frog. That was all our classes have covered as of yet." Grace was sure that Calrk's groups would not know about this. They were in the elite class and had no idea what the normal students would learn.

"Good point. I had not thought of that. We learn in the wilds and while in dungeons. Or like Ella and Isa, in a lab and from their families. We should have professor Wright stop us and do a quick course." Clark also knew that he was not the best when it came to this. He was more apt to hire someone than he was to do it himself.

He was also more likely just to sell the entire beast's body to a forge master to have him make materials with the beast and take the remaining as payment.

"Wait, you all just learn as you go in the dungeons and wilderness? I thought you had a lot more classes than us?" Reese was shocked. He had many more assumptions than this and was questioning them over and over in his head.

"The classes are more of guidance. Our mentors will normally take greater lead and we can choose to attend certain professors' lessons. Take Myself, for example, I have a lab and I stay within that. The knowledge I have is gathered over many years of reading and staying within the research buildings." Ella made it clear where she had excelled and why she had stayed there.

"Then you have what I know. I learned from traveling to different markets. I listened to everything and learned what I had to. I also asked my brothers and father too many questions to write in any book." Isa was very proud of this.

"I learned the basics from a family teacher. Then I found ways on my own. Lately, I have been learning from my friends and professor Wright when I am stuck on an idea or theory." Maria even jumped in to share what she knew. It was a very enlightening moment.

When everyone looked at Clark, he just shrugged. "I learn as I go. The more I recall from books or other people the better. But you can always put the puzzle together by thinking from another perspective. Now, let's store these materials and make a run to the entrance. I want to be rested for us to travel back." the idea that they had little sense of time in the mining dungeon dawned on everyone.

They may have gone over their time limit.

Gathering up the ores and eggs took only a few moments. They all worked together and would organize things better for Isa and Clark to get to work later. Brad was still resting but woke up easily after they nudged him a few times. The wounds were covered and still whaling after the health potion had been used. But Brad actually appeared much better than he had looked.

"I have to run? That's so lame. I would rather keep sleep-"

"You want to open your taming space right?"

"I will run, let's go." The change in Brad's attitude made everyone smirk.

The group began to run through toward the entrance. All of them seemed to notice that Jerold had already left by himself. They were ready to ask Professor Wright the second they reached the exit. However, Professor Wright was there at the first entrance waiting on them. She was looking very unhappy but also a little proud.

"You have all done well to open this section and explore. I was told a little about what happened. Even in a weak dungeon like this, there is a lot of danger. You should all know that you should never expect things to be easy. Anything is possible. If you read the accounts of the charcoal cat dungeon you will understand.

I have a copy for you to read in your off time." Professor Wright looked at all of them who were curious. None of them seemed to have read the book.

"Jerold is no longer traveling with us as well. He refused to stay and has gone his own way. I did not stop him. If he makes it to the north he should have learned some valuable lessons. If he does not make it, then my beast will ensure that he lives and returns to us. But only under the worst case scenario." This stopped everyone and dropped their jaws.

They had not expected Jerold to run off by himself after what had happened down in the dungeon. Yes, they were angry, but they would not send him off to risk his death!
