Chapter 89

The rhythmic ticking of the grandfather clock, which was older than a great many mortal nations, filled the awkward silence between Serafall and Sirzechs Lucifer.

Finally, Sirzechs broke the silence with a contrasting rhythmic tapping on his table which made Serafall almost comically sink in on herself at the sight and sound of one of her oldest friends clear frustration.

"Out of the thousand-plus messages, letters, and calls being directed to me from the various Noble Devils today. Can you guess what they demanded?" He said flatly.

Serafall smiled wryly and said plainly. "They are demanding that contracted Magicians be outlawed from the Rating Games entirely I assume?"

To which Sirzechs snorted and, with an introspective look, he said with some amusement. "No, in fact, they even want human magicians of talent to be inducted into Devil Schools to help noble scions pick up talented Magicians as well."

Sirzechs took a breath and then leaned in and said firmly. "No, Serafall, what others and even myself want to know is... Why didn't you reincarnate Jake Bariss into your own peerage with his talent and strength? To say nothing of his clear world-hopping power."

Serafall's face pinched at that last bit, with Sirzechs rolling his eyes and saying flatly. "Come now... Rias forced me to watch Madoka Magica a few years ago, I and a few others have easily recognized your little lesbian trio of magical girls. To say nothing of that blonde that follows Jake around like a love-sick puppy." 

"Now... Regardless, I have to ask why you haven't reincarnated him?" Sirzechs finished, though there was still a hint of frustration at his ace in hole for Rias now clearly being blocked by the Phenex family screaming it wasn't fair, obviously.

Then Serafall coughed with a slight flush crossing her face as she said quietly. "Ahem as for why... Well for one, he didn't want to reincarnate as a devil. And for that, it was enough. Even still, more importantly, he was Sona's contracted magician and the magical bond would break when he became a devil."

There was a long... Silent and awkward pause as Sirzechs just stared at her. And then, without any shame, he said flatly. "The bond in which that allows you to sleep with your sister when they are together as well you degenerate."

And Serafall instantly pointed at Sirzechs and snapped back. "You shuuuut up! If Jake were a woman and brought you and Rias to bed together, you wouldn't be complaining at all, would you! You haven't touched Grayfia more than a decade after you got briefly cursed by Aphrodite and finally managed to finish in her!"

Sirzechs actually flushed at that and muttered. "Hey... Just because I like being stepped on and watching her play with herself more than actual sex doesn't mean we don't love one another."

To which Serafall just pointed out flatly. "You are but one step from being a cuck... You get off watching from another seat as your wife masturbates and uses toys. It's literally the gate way 'drug' to watching your wife getting railed by another man!" Serafall almost finished shouting.

Sirzech's actually seemed to consider the thought for a moment, and Serafall's face twitched as Sirzech's expression wasn't twisted with disgust at the thought and she rolled her purple gem-like eyes as he said sheepishly.

"Ehhh, I probably get it from my mother and father. They are both happy swingers, but that comes with being married for more than a millennium, I suppose. But hey, it's better than the Phenex family... Both Lord and Lady Phenex are brother and sister after all." 

Serafall just sighed at how hopeless her friend was. Sure, she liked burying her face into her sister's used and filled muff and making her squeal. But they were sisters! It was a pure and holy Yuri love that didn't hurt anyone!

Actually, sibling breeding incest even for devils... It was a bit too much even for her!

Sirzechs coughed then heavily to clear his throat and then he said more firmly. "Now... On to the main reason I called you here. We will need to silence the Phenex family without ruffling too many feathers, as my Rias's peerage cannot match Riser's full peerage yet."

Serafall sighed and said a bit sheepishly. "If Jake kept his connection to Rias on the downlow it wouldn't have been as bad. But now with how Jake insulted Riser and even Ravel due to the conflict of interests. They are abusing large amounts of Phenex Tears to train his peerage as hard as possible."

It was almost a frightening thing in reality that most people never really considered when a Phenex was pushed into a training frenzy.

They could use their own Phenex Tears to quickly train up a small squad into elite fighters due to how the Phenex Tears would replenish strength and stamina, along with healing the strain done in the training.

"It's a pity that the Phenex family literally can't supply enough tears, even watered-down tears, to help train the main devil army. Old Falbium would love such a trick." Serafall muttered with Sirzechs nodding along.

Then Sirzech folded his arms across his chest before he said quietly. "Hmm, the issue is time. Although Rias is training in earnest now as well, along with having Jake's support. I can't openly assist as well. Not to mention... Riser may very well use his Phenex connections to recruit a truly powerful Magician or being who can match Jake."

Although Gragg was able to recruit a decent, high-class little mage. His reach was nowhere near the reach of a Phenex's reach. If Riser offered a direct line of constant supply of Phenex tears to a small faction leader just to fuck over Jake and the inevitable Rating Game.

Sirzechs and Serafall could easily see said lesser faction leader happily dealing with any repercussions in order to be able to get a large supply of Phenex Tears.

"What if... What if Jake like takes Rias, Akeno and maybe Koneko to another world? There is a major time dilation between universes, as Ajuka pointed out. And they would have the time to get ahead in power before they force a Rating Game?" Serafall mused to herself.

Sirzech's clearly considered the question before he said with a wry smile. "Rias is still a devil, and some worlds are naturally rightfully against devils and the demonic... Still it's an option, and I would ask. No, I will send Grayfia to go speak with Jake and Rias on such a topic. I imagine he can discuss with Grayfia a favor or price for such a thing."

Also, Sirzechs was privately hoping that if Rias went to another world, she would be able to finally fill out her peerage. As her peerage currently lacked both a knight, a rook, and all of her pawns. Basically, more than half of her peerage was empty.
