Chapter 195 - 195

"Obito, there's going to be a fierce battle soon. There's something I feel I should say." Obito was currently enveloped by a strange creature, as if wearing a bio-suit over his body, and this 'suit' was speaking to him.

This layer covering Obito was one of the extremely rare special individuals among the many White Zetsu, Tobi.

"What?"

After learning that his cherished goddess, Rin, along with his close friend Kakashi, were surrounded by elite Kirigakure ninja, Obito's mind was in complete turmoil.

Right now, all he wanted was to reach Rin's side as soon as possible.

The Kirigakure ninja chasing her were not far away. If Kakashi didn't act now, everything would be over.

"Do it, Kakashi." Rin looked at Kakashi with an expectant gaze, her resolute expression reflecting her true feelings.

"No I won't hurt you Rin." Kakashi's hand trembled as he raised it in determination. Instantly, electricity gathered around his fingertips, as he rushed forward to bypass Rin and directly attack Kiri-nins, "Rin run! I will hold them back!"

Rin gave Kakashi an apologetic smile, and threw herself onto his right hand.

Blood and light intertwined as the piercing chirp of the chidori echoed through the forest. "Ka..ka..shi, I'm... sor..."

'To protect Konoha, Rin chose to die by the hand of the one she loved.' The shadow clone that had just arrived happened to witness this scene. 'So this timeline is the death of Rin at the end of the Third Shinobi World War?'

It wasn't just the shadow clone that happened to see this. From another part of the dense forest, Obito also 'happened' to arrive just in time to see it.

At that moment, the young man's world collapsed.

Obito's right eye and Kakashi's left eye underwent a change simultaneously, giving birth to a pair of Mangekyo Sharingan with one of the most troublesome abilities.

As Rin fell, Kakashi collapsed as well, as he couldn't handle the mental stress of killing Rin.

'At this point, Obito was saved by Madara but still wanted to return to Konoha. The moment he learned Rin was in danger, his first thought was to rush and save her, still that good-natured kid who'd be late because he helped an old lady cross the street...'

The clone moved closer.

Suddenly getting an idea, the shadow clone's looked around for a second. But before he could act, he felt a sudden summons.

"Tch, looks like time's up."

"Can't go back empty-handed," the shadow clone thought. His gaze turned toward Rin, whose life signs were fading again.

"Might as well call it a local souvenir." With that thought, the shadow clone first used Yang Release to perform basic healing on Rin, then hoisted her over his shoulder and ran toward the summoning point.

"A heart wound this severe is beyond me, I'm just a shadow clone, after all. Let the real one deal with the headache."

Within moments, Obito, covered in blood, arrived at the spot where Rin had fallen, only to stare in disbelief at the spot where her body should've been. "Where is she?! Whoever stole Rin's body... I'll find them and tear them apart!?"

At the Ruins of Roran, a pillar of light shot up into the sky once more.

The shadow clone stepped slowly out of the light, still carrying a dying person on his shoulder.

Naruto stared at him in utter disbelief.

Gently laying Rin on the ground, the shadow clone turned to Naruto and said, "I can't be bothered to explain. See for yourself."

With a *poof*, he vanished into a puff of smoke.

"Local souvenir?" Naruto muttered, receiving the shadow clone's memories as he began healing Rin with Yang Release.

"My shadow clones are acting weird."
