Chapter 602: Heroes’ Afterparty (Part 7)

"Mhm, yeah, my Item Box can preserve stuff, but unlike Kai’s Treasury, I can’t make unlimited copies of stuff. That’s definitely the ability I envy the most," Cleo sighed wistfully.

"I mean, your ability to gain new abilities from Monsters is pretty damn handy too. You’ve definitely got the most versatility out of all of us," I pointed out.

"Sure, making unlimited copies of stuff is pretty insane, but so is a dimensional storage space with hundreds of slots. Heck, I’d be happy with just one slot, that sounds so convenient," Smiled Jaden enviously.

"Hm...hey, during our battle against the Demon Lord, you stored Cleo in your Treasury after she got petrified, right?" Ciel asked me.

"Yeah, what about it?" I responded with a nod.

"Could you have made copies of her? Because if that was possible, we could’ve had her petrify all of us at the start, and then you store us in Treasury and make an army of hundreds of each of us," Suggested Ciel, an intrigued look on her face.

Yeah, figured it would be.

"An interesting idea, but I couldn’t have done that. There are exceptions to what I can make copies of. Before, the only such exception I knew of were the Personalis Arma. I can store them, but I can’t make copies of them. And the same went for Cleo, I couldn’t make copies of her."

"I think that’s a good thing...not sure how I’d feel about seeing hundreds of me running around. Like, what would we do with them after the battle? Not to mention, how would we figure out which one’s the original me? If they’re all perfect copies, they’ll all believe that they’re the original," Frowned Cleo warily.

"Yeah, worst case scenario, you and your clones start killing each other, and the last one left standing becomes the new original, never truly knowing if they’re the real original or just a clone," Chimed in Aria.

"Heh, yeah, that’d be pretty scary. I love a good fight, but going up against dozens of mes would be more than a little terrifying," Remarked Jaden with a shudder.

"I mean, it’s not an absolute given that we’ll have to fight the clones. I’d wanna see how big of an explosion I could make if me and all my clones unleashed my strongest Spells simultaneously," Grinned Ciel, a gleam in her eyes.

"Huh, I wonder how it’d go for me if I found myself amidst a ton of my own clones?" Muttered Aria curiously.

"I, for one, would absolutely love to find myself in that position," I smirked teasingly.

"Yeah, I bet you would...but I wouldn’t want to share you, even with myself, so it’d probably just devolve into a massacre. I mean, what would you do if I was surrounded by you and a hundred clones of you?" She pointed out.

"Fair enough...I wouldn’t want to share you, even with myself."

"Hm...but, the thought of that is pretty hot, Kais all around me, as far as the eye could see...," She mused, before gulping.

"Uh...should we leave?" Spoke up Jaden with an awkward chuckle.

"Oh, our bad, sorry for making things awkward, guys," I grinned sheepishly.

"It’s cool...this has been a lot of fun, hanging out tonight. Thanks for inviting us over, you two, I think I really needed this," Smiled Ciel gratefully.

"Yeah, what she said. This is definitely the most fun I’ve had in a while," Cleo nodded in agreement.

"Mhm, same. And, hey, since we’re all excused from any duties for a while, let’s make this a regular thing. Like, at least once a month?" Suggested Jaden with a grin.

"No objections here," I replied with a thumbs up.

"Yeah, same. It’ll be good to meet up and get a change of pace from lazing about all day every day," Added Aria with a laugh.

"Hm...hey, I have something I want to do. Though, I’ve spoken to the Union about it, a couple of days ago, and it’ll probably be a while before I can do it. But...I wanna go back to Sanctuary Alpha, to the site of the Final Dungeon," Spoke up Ciel hesitantly.

"Any particular reason?" Jaden asked her.

"Well, yes and no, it’s hard to put it into words. I don’t know, I just...I just feel like it’s something I need to do. Maybe it’ll help give me closure and push me to keep moving forward. I’m still figuring out a lot in my own head, but, yeah...this really just feels like something I need to do."

"I think that sounds like a good idea. We all passed out by the time the battle ended, and by the time we finally woke up, we were in that hospital.

Revisiting the site of our final battle, I think it’ll be a nice way to honor and pay our respects to the others, those who fought alongside us and contributed to our victory," Nodded Aria thoughtfully.

"Yeah, you can count me in too. Though, if the Union approves it, we should ask them to keep it a secret. The last thing we want is reporters and camera crews swarming us," I frowned warily.

"Oh, absolutely not, the last thing I want is for a spectacle to be made out of this," Responded Ciel apprehesively.

"Agreed. Oh, and for the record, I’m in too," Remarked Jaden with a thumbs up.

"Yeah, me too," Added Cleo with a nod.

"Cool, then it’s settled. Let’s correspond with the HUC and try to get a more clear idea of exactly when we’ll be able to do this. And once we have an exact date, let’s meet up in Sanctuary Alpha, at the site of the Final Dungeon," I declared with a smile.

"Mhm, see you guys then."

"I mean, we can meet up before then if it’ll take a fair bit of time before we’re allowed in Sanctuary Alpha."

"Sure, I don’t have any plans for the foreseeable future."

"Same."

"Me neither."

"Ditto."
