Chapter 250 - The Leviathan Prince
Chapter 250 - The Leviathan Prince
Ye Fan killed eight true disciples of the Radiant Light Sacred Ground and the Ji Clan in front of Cloud Marsh’s young cultivators. The news spread like wildfire, stirring up quite a storm.
Cloud Marsh was abuzz with activity, and everyone was on edge. The Ji Clan had sent numerous powerhouses to this oasis, and even the God Physique, Ji Haoyue, had arrived in person. Some had also spotted the Radiant Light Saint.
These two were shrouded in an aura of brilliance, drawing attention wherever they went. They were among the top figures of the Eastern Wilderness’ younger generation. Now, for a youth named Ye Fan, both had descended upon Cloud Marsh, shocking everyone.
Soon, word spread that the Radiant Light Saintess, Yao Xi, had also arrived in Sun Dawn City, turning the place into a nexus of major events, capturing the attention of many.
All of Cloud Marsh was in an uproar, and news reached the surrounding oases. People were buzzing, all talking about Ye Fan.
“This youth has no master or sect backing him, yet he crossed the void from the Southern Region to the Northern Region alone. He’s got some serious skills.”
“He obtained the Ji Clan’s Grand Void Art and even burned one of their Supreme Elders to death. Unbelievable!”
As Ye Fan’s past deeds came to light, people grew even more astonished, finding it hard to believe.
“As a Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique, his path forward will be incredibly tough. I wonder how far he can go.”
When this news broke, many sighed. This physique was like a curse; no matter how extraordinary one’s talent, it was trapped in a mortal shell, with a hopeless road ahead.
“But such a physique is worth studying. I bet all the holy lands are interested.”
“He possesses a cauldron forged from the Motherly Energy of All Things. That kind of treasure would make any sect jealous. Even without the Ji Clan’s pursuit, his future looks grim.”
“What a pity. A Sacred Physique, yet it’s reached its limit!”
Some felt regret, believing the youth’s path was essentially cut off, unable to cross the chasm left by the ancient era.
“Daring to strike at the Ji Clan, I had hoped for a supreme figure to rise in the future, but to think he has that physique.”
“Since ancient times, through endless years, no one has broken that curse. The once-invincible Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique has become a crippled physique. Who knows when a miracle might happen?”
The discussion shifted from Ye Fan’s actions to the Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique. No one was optimistic, seeing him as a fleeting anomaly destined to fade quickly, his physique offering no future.
At this moment, Ye Fan and Tu Fei had already left Cloud Marsh’s territory.
“Well? You’re quite the celebrity now. Everywhere we go, people are talking about you,” Tu Fei said, riding a blue-furred lion, flying over the desolate reddish-brown land.
“Standing at the center of the storm isn’t exactly a good thing. Without special means, my life’s in danger,” Ye Fan replied, unregretful. He had acted to humiliate the Ji Clan.
Dressed in purple robes, his appearance was completely different now. Gone was his refined look; with sharp brows and starry eyes, he exuded a commanding aura. Even if acquaintances saw him, they wouldn’t recognize him. Without a mount, he strode through the void, moving swiftly.
The big black dog was also in the air, not flying on its own. After much pestering, it had taken Ye Fan’s captured five-colored jade boat, transforming it into something resembling a turtle shell, now pitch black.
Tu Fei laughed, “You’re famous around Cloud Marsh. If you stir up an even bigger commotion next time, it’ll probably reach the Celestial City. That’ll be lively.”
“What’s that? Back when this Emperor roamed the world, everyone in the Eastern Wilderness knew my name,” the black dog interjected.
“What’s its deal? I really want to find a chance to stew it!” Tu Fei gritted his teeth, secretly transmitting to Ye Fan.
“Forget it. Why bother with a bald-tailed dog?” Ye Fan advised, then asked, “Where exactly does the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch live?”
“Very far. Even flying at full speed, it’ll take over ten days,” Tu Fei replied.
The Northern Region was truly vast, boundless. Some sects were so far apart that travel could take a year or more. Fortunately, the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch’s hideout wasn’t that distant.
“What are you going there for?” Tu Fei didn’t believe Ye Fan was just visiting a friend.
“To take shelter. The Ji Clan’s hunting me down everywhere. It’s not safe out here,” Ye Fan said, unable to reveal the truth. This time, he might end up offending the demon race.
“I have to warn you, with that cauldron forged from the Motherly Energy of All Things, going to the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch’s place might stir some trouble.”
“You mean the Peacock Monarch and others might make a move?” Ye Fan frowned.
Yan Ruyu possessed an ultimate holy weapon left by the Demon Race’s Grand Emperor, yet the Peacock Monarch hadn’t targeted her and even protected her. Would he really act for the ultimate material on Ye Fan?
“The Peacock Monarch and Azure Flood Dragon Monarch definitely aren’t like that, but other demons are harder to predict. You know how demons can be,” Tu Fei said seriously, despite his big mouth. “If my grandpa didn’t have a Paragon Artifact, I might be tempted by your motherly energy myself.”
“What? Your family has a Paragon Artifact?” The black dog’s eyes widened. “Nonsense! There are only a few in the entire Eastern Wilderness. How could your family have one?”
“Go stay where it’s cool!” Tu Fei snapped, full of disdain for the dog.
Ye Fan frowned. After arriving in the Northern Region, he had avoided the Peacock Monarch precisely because he feared demons might covet his treasure.
Back in the Southern Region, when he burned the Ji Clan’s Supreme Elder, the cauldron forged from motherly energy had already been exposed.
But now, he had no choice. He had to make this trip, even if it meant risking his life.
He wanted to save Pang Bo and could delay no longer, fearing he might never see his friend again.
Though the demons claimed that, in the end, Pang Bo might benefit greatly, with the mysterious entity possessing him vanishing, Ye Fan didn’t believe it.
He couldn’t fully trust the Demon Race. He refused to let Pang Bo gamble with his life and was determined to save him.
Back in the Southern Region, he lacked the strength; any random demon cultivator could overpower him. Now, though still insufficient, he couldn’t wait any longer.
Yan Ruyu had said everything would conclude within a few years, with at most a year or two left before it was settled.
Though his strength was still lacking, Ye Fan had to take the risk. He didn’t want lifelong regrets.
Even if it meant facing death, he would act. He couldn’t lose this friend.
Cloud Marsh Prefecture, true to its name, was filled with vast lakes and misty waters, like a land of rivers and marshes.
Half a month later, they arrived.
This oasis was expansive, spanning tens of thousands of miles, ranking among the top dozens in the Northern Region.
Ye Fan marveled. This land was so vast it defied comprehension, almost mythical compared to the lands on the other side of the starry sky.
Cloud Marsh Prefecture didn’t resemble the Northern Region’s typical terrain. Lush and green, it teemed with life, filled with trees and water, springs every hundred steps, rivers every ten miles.
Towering mountains stood, covered entirely by cascading waterfalls, white and misty.
Endless plains, green and vibrant, were criss-crossed by roaring rivers, like ancient dragons dividing the land.
Huge lakes were everywhere, stretching endlessly.
Water and mist abounded, truly a homeland of lakes.
“The Azure Flood Dragon Monarch, as a dragon-turned-demon, choosing such a water-rich prefecture isn’t surprising,” the black dog muttered.
“Don’t talk nonsense!” Ye Fan shot it a glare.
Now in Cloud Marsh Prefecture, they were in the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch’s territory. If some demon cultivators overheard, it could spell trouble.
“The Azure Flood Dragon Monarch is a Supreme Giant, having lived over a thousand years in human form. His cultivation is unfathomable. We need to watch our words here,” Tu Fei said gravely.
Two days later, they reached the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch’s hideout.
Tu Fei produced a jade pendant engraved with the character “Tu,” crafted by the Seventh Warlord, Heaven-Massacre, with his imprint sealed inside.
He activated the jade, and with a flash of light, the scenery changed. They entered a strange space.
Majestic mountains, abundant lakes, lush trees, and misty air greeted them, with eighty-one rivers flowing through and dozens of lakes scattered about.
“A space created by an ancient sage!” The black dog’s eyes gleamed.
“You know quite a bit,” Tu Fei said, rolling his eyes.
“Who’s there?!” a shout came from a misty immortal mountain ahead.
“I’m one of you. My name’s Tu Fei. I’ve been here before,” Tu Fei replied.
Several figures descended, handsome men and beautiful women, all exuding a demonic aura, approaching them.
“So, you’re a descendant of Senior Heaven-Massacre.” After inspecting the jade, they allowed them to proceed.
This space formed its own world, vast and expansive. Passing the waterfall region, the scenery grew more beautiful.
On mountain peaks and before waterfalls, pavilions, halls, and palaces were everywhere.
Ancient vines, old trees, exotic flowers, and rare herbs abounded.
“So, it’s the heir of the Tu Clan. It’s been a while since you’ve visited, hasn’t it?”
Along the way, older demons greeted them, and Tu Fei responded respectfully.
“Haha, Brother Tu, I’ve missed you!” A young demon male flew over with several figures, landing before them.
Tall and robust, he wore cyan iron armor, brimming with explosive strength. His eyes shone like stars, and most striking were the pair of crystalline dragon horns amidst his cyan hair.
This was a flood dragon!
In the Eastern Wilderness, where true dragons were absent, flood dragons were considered a royal clan among demons.
Ye Fan knew this youth must have an extraordinary identity.
“Brother Qingyi, you’re even more impressive than before,” Tu Fei said, stepping forward with a smile.
As expected, this was the Azure Flood Dragon Monarch’s heir, named Qingyi, revered as the Azure Flood Dragon Prince.
“And this is…?”
“This is Ye Fan. The Peacock Monarch holds him in high regard,” Tu Fei introduced.
Qingyi’s eyes flashed with divine light, and he laughed, “I know you. I’ve heard of your name. Burning Ji Clan’s Supreme Elder to death, quite the young hero.”
The other demon figures nearby glanced over, their eyes gleaming with intrigue.
“Come inside. This isn’t the place to talk,” Qingyi smiled, clapping his hands. A massive immortal crane flew over, its wings spanning over thirty meters, carrying them skyward for twenty miles before landing in a picturesque immortal mountain.
Here, every peak housed grand palaces. Qingyi led them to one of his own.
Ascending the massive stone steps and entering the palace, Qingyi said, “I have another distinguished guest here.”
“Who?” Tu Fei asked.
“A top genius of our Demon Race’s younger generation, the Leviathan Prince.”
Tu Fei was startled. “The heir of the Leviathan Monarch?”
“Indeed, the heir of the Central Region’s Supreme Giant, the Leviathan Monarch. His cultivation is profound, and he’s come to the Northern Region for the Jade Pool Festival, also to challenge the Radiant Light Saint,” Qingyi said.
Ye Fan was shocked. The Radiant Light Holy Son was nearly invincible among his peers, yet this Leviathan Prince dared to challenge him, hinting at terrifying strength.
“I’ve long heard of the Leviathan Prince’s fame, but I didn’t expect him to come to the Northern Region,” Tu Fei said.
Inside the grand palace, with carved beams and painted pillars, clouds swirled on the floor, and beautiful demon women stood on either side, as if they’d entered the ancient Demon Court of legend.
Several young demons sat inside, one with piercing eyes, fair skin, and radiant golden hair, strikingly heroic.
“This is the Leviathan Prince,” Qingyi introduced.
The golden-haired man stood, nodding at them.
Qingyi then introduced Tu Fei and Ye Fan.
Upon hearing Ye Fan’s name, the Leviathan Prince’s eyes shot out two blinding beams of divine light, soul-shaking.
“Is this the Ye Fan wanted by the Ji Clan?”
Ye Fan nodded. Being hunted by an ancient clan had indeed spread his name far, even reaching the Leviathan Prince, newly arrived in the Northern Region.
Swoosh!
A dazzling golden claw, terrifying and sharp, reached for Ye Fan, a bird’s claw!
The massive claw, manifested by the Leviathan Prince, covered the hall, as if it could tear through the void, enveloping Ye Fan.
Bang!
A cyan shadow flashed as Qingyi intervened, blocking the giant claw. “Brother Leviathan, what’s the meaning of this?”
Tu Fei reacted, angrily shouting, “Leviathan Prince, what’s your deal?!”
Ye Fan’s brow pulsed, his powerful divine sense ready to unleash. He had felt the real threat of death, the claw was aimed to kill.
The Leviathan Prince’s golden hair danced as he said indifferently, “I want to borrow an item from him.”
“You can ask to borrow something, but why go for his life right away?” Tu Fei demanded.
“What do you want to borrow?” Ye Fan asked coldly.
“The motherly energy source root!” the Leviathan Prince said domineeringly, hands behind his back, looking down at Ye Fan as if no refusal was allowed.
“And if I don’t lend it?” Ye Fan hadn’t expected someone to demand his Cauldron so soon after arriving.
“Then I’ll take it myself!” the Leviathan Prince said coolly, barely glancing at Ye Fan, exuding arrogance.
“Brother Leviathan, you’re going too far. Brother Ye is my guest,” Qingyi said, frowning.
“What guest? He’s not one of us, his heart must be different!” The Leviathan Prince stared at Ye Fan like he was already dead.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Tu Fei snapped.
“Of course, I don’t mean you,” the Leviathan Prince said, glancing at Ye Fan. “Just a crippled Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique. Kill him, and be done with it. What use is he?”
“You…” Tu Fei’s eyes blazed.
“The motherly energy source root is mine!” the Leviathan Prince declared, utterly unyielding.
“Brother Leviathan, this isn’t right…” Qingyi frowned.
“You have two choices,” the Leviathan Prince said, devoid of human emotion, staring coldly at Ye Fan. “Leave the motherly energy source root and I’ll spare your life, or I’ll take it myself and end you!”
Tu Fei was furious. He’d never seen someone so unreasonable. Though he knew the Leviathan Prince dominated the Central Region’s younger generation, he couldn’t hold back his anger.
Ye Fan’s brow trembled, his divine sense forming a tiny golden sword, ready to strike.
“Don’t fight me, or you’ll die without a corpse!” The Leviathan Prince, tall and imposing, radiated crazed killing intent, looking down at Ye Fan.
