Chapter 120 - God-King Physique
Chapter 120 - God-King Physique
Although the scorching sun was high in the sky, the broken mountain ahead was shrouded in night. The blue sea surged, tides rising and falling, and a bright moon hung overhead, bringing with it a sense of clarity and emptiness. Despite the sound of waves, a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere prevailed.
The Moon Rises Over The Sea!
This was an ancient and powerful Oceanic Wheel Realm phenomenon, stunning everyone present. Such a technique was rarely cultivated in the current age.
Seventh young master of the Ji Clan, Ji Haoyue, had just awakened his divine constitution. Yet at his very first appearance, he left an immense impression.
It was said that every kind of Phenomenon held mysterious and unparalleled power, completely different from normally cultivated abilities, impossible to measure. Among them, the Moon Rising from the Sea was one of the most legendary. Many ancient powerhouses in the Eastern Wilderness had mastered this Phenomenon, giving it lasting fame.
Ye Fan’s heart was far from calm. It was his first time witnessing such a unique Oceanic Wheel, and he kept comparing it with his own golden Bitter Sea.
How could there be a bright moon hanging in the sky like this? How was it produced? He couldn’t figure it out. His golden Bitter Sea was indeed extraordinary, but he knew that at this moment, it couldn't contend with Ji Haoyue. He had yet to grasp the true power of a Phenomenon.
Ye Fan wasn’t discouraged. He had only been cultivating for just over three years, and to have reached this level was already astonishing. What he needed now was time, time to fully awaken the potential of his Sacred Physique.
“Only by cultivating two or three secret realms can one manifest a Phenomenon and wield its great power. This youth is truly terrifying,” an old crone among the demon race sighed.
“The Ji Clan kept him hidden for many years. Likely, he was trained from the moment he was born. After twenty years, now that his cultivation has borne fruit, he finally emerges. Imagine the depth of his power, it must be unfathomable.”
The demon race experts present all knew, the Ji Clan must have spent endless resources to raise this young man. An Ancient Desolate Clan going all-in to nurture a God-King Physique like Ji Haoyue’s? No one could guess how strong he truly was.
Ye Fan was shaken upon hearing this. His Sacred Physique was still incomplete, unable to compete. Ji Haoyue’s God-King Physique was already taking shape, and even the demon race feared him.
“Leave the Demon Emperor's sacred weapon, and I’ll let you go,” Ji Haoyue said, his voice like a breeze, as he stood on the broken mountain. Behind him, the tide rose and fell, his demeanor calm.
“You think you can stop us?” the old crone from the demon race asked coldly, staring at Ji Haoyue.
“I know your plan, you want to inscribe Dao runes, gather heavenly might, and open a domain gate to cross the void,” Ji Haoyue said flatly. “But unfortunately, you may not realize, this place is extremely strange. It’s an ancient battlefield. Opening a domain gate here will be nearly impossible.”
“The Ji Clan…” the old crone's face darkened. “You think a sacred weapon of the Demon Emperor can fall into your hands without consequence? Even if you succeed today, aren’t you afraid the other demon races will descend upon your Clan? Do you really believe the ancient Ji Clan is invincible?”
“That’s our business, not yours,” Ji Haoyue said indifferently, as though nothing could concern him. The moon above his head, the broken mountain underfoot, he was elegance incarnate.
“In that case, let me experience how powerful this God-King Physique truly is!” the old crone said, stepping out and flying forward atop a cloud.
From the distance, Ji Clan experts appeared on mountaintops. As the old crone flew forward, three elders appeared on the broken mountain.
“You’re overly cautious. Afraid the God-King Physique might fall so early? Why bring him out at all?” she mocked.
“We won’t intervene. We’re just here to observe,” the three Ji Clan elders replied, but their caution was obvious.
Ji Haoyue smiled lightly. His purple robe flowed as he stepped forward a few paces, distancing himself from the elders.
“You may attack,” he said calmly to the old crone.
Though her opponent was young, his God-King Physique made age irrelevant. She dared not underestimate him. In her right palm, a small jade-green mountain appeared and rapidly expanded, pressing forward.
The jade mountain grew ever larger. With each inch it descended, the space trembled. Its crushing pressure made the broken mountain shake.
Yet, as the jade mountain descended above the blue sea, it slowed, as though stuck in a swamp. It was trapped.
“Fall!” the old crone shouted.
The massive jade peak, vast and unstoppable, filled the sky with green light and shattered the ocean’s serenity.
But Ji Haoyue remained calm. Behind him, the sea surged. A great wave swept forth, engulfing the mountain and dragging it into the sea, where it vanished completely.
The Ji Clan’s young master hadn’t moved a finger. Just relying on the Oceanic Wheel Phenomenon, he captured the old crone’s treasured weapon.
“This…” The old crone’s expression changed drastically. Her connection with her weapon was severed, she could no longer sense it.
“You’re no match for me.”
“You…” The old crone froze in place. From behind, Yan Ruyu sent a sound transmission: “Retreat now!”
She withdrew without hesitation. She knew she wasn’t this purple-robed man’s equal, he was far too deep.
“Since you're here, don’t even think about leaving.” Ji Haoyue finally took the initiative. Stepping into the air, he reached the crone in a few steps. The vast sea surged and enveloped her.
“No, !” the old crone screamed, her body bursting with godlight as she transformed into a giant bird, the size of a mountain. She flapped her wings and tried to soar.
But the green sea had a terrifying power. She couldn't break free. The waves devoured her. She couldn’t escape.
“Kill!” Two young demon women charged forward, trying to save her.
Together, they unleashed a powerful weapon: Golden Flood Dragon Shears that turned into a giant flood dragon, twisting and writhing, emitting golden clouds and radiant light, powerful enough to cut mountains.
But before Ji Haoyue, it was useless. The moon above his head shed gentle silver light. The shears dimmed, then cracked apart with snapping sounds.
“Hiss…” Everyone gasped. The power of the Phenomenon far surpassed even divine weapons.
The two women tried to retreat, but it was like sinking in mud. They couldn’t move, and soon fell helplessly into the sea behind Ji Haoyue.
“No one is to act without orders!” Yan Ruyu commanded.
But it was too late. Five more women flew out, each unleashing weapons and attacking Ji Haoyue. The sky filled with clouds, the mountains shook. Five spirit treasures turned into divine rainbows, brilliant and fierce, crashing down like meteors.
“It’s all futile.” Ji Haoyue turned calmly, the silver light from the moon shining down like divine radiance. The five treasures instantly dimmed and shattered into dust.
They couldn't resist. The five women were pulled into the sea as well, unable to escape.
In an instant, Ji Haoyue had taken down eight demon race experts, as casually as if taking a stroll. The moon hung above, the blue sea shimmering. He looked like a god, cloaked in holy moonlight.
“I repeat: leave the Demon Emperor’s weapon.”
“In your dreams!” the old crone shouted.
“Then don’t blame me for slaughtering you all.” Ji Haoyue’s voice turned cold as he stepped forward in the air. The surrounding mountains trembled.
“Ahhh!” Screams echoed from the sea, eight demons beheaded and dragged into the depths.
“No one is to linger! Break out now!” Yan Ruyu shouted to her allies.
Aside from her, Ye Fan was being protected by several old crones. A stone coffin was also surrounded by demon experts. Ye Fan suspected Pang Bo was inside, but had no way to open it.
“You think you can leave? Impossible!” Ji Haoyue stepped forward again. Figures appeared on every mountain, blocking their path.
“Kill!” Battle erupted. Everyone fought.
Ji Haoyue moved with ease, like an immortal descended. No one could block him. Under the moonlight, all perished.
“Kill!”
Three old crones attacked, trying to buy time. Over ten young demon women joined in, unleashing godpowers and heavy treasures to encircle Ji Haoyue.
God-Kinglight surged. Mountains shook. Earth cracked. The battlefield boiled over.
Ji Haoyue, graceful in his purple robe, moved like a war god. His eyes flashed with purple light. The moon above him shone brightly. Ten young women were pierced through, their blood spraying, bodies falling.
The three old crones reached him but couldn’t withstand the surging sea. All were engulfed. The moon turned slightly, three heads fell from the sky.
The demon race had courage. Many, enraged, charged. Ji Haoyue didn’t even blink. His purple robe billowed as he walked forward. Corpses piled at his feet. Blood filled the air.
He was like an Asura King. No one could match him. Wherever he went, the enemy was crushed. His newly awakened God-King Physique was already shaking the Eastern Wilderness.
More demons fell. Ji Haoyue left a trail of bodies and blood. No one could rival him.
“Kill! Kill!”
The shouting shook the heavens. Ji Clan cultivators clashed with the demons. Treasures filled the sky, shattering mountains.
Yan Ruyu, radiant as the rising sun, blazed a bloody path and ordered the stone coffin to be taken away. Then she charged back in to rescue her comrades.
At last, she met Ji Haoyue head-on.
“Watch out for the Demon Emperor’s weapon!” two Ji Clan elders shouted as they appeared before Ji Haoyue, striking out at Yan Ruyu.
Shhhk!
The Demon Emperor’s weapon swept out. Mountains darkened. The sky trembled. In Yan Ruyu’s palm, godlight exploded. The two elders were instantly obliterated, turned to mist before they could even scream.
“The Demon Emperor’s weapon truly lives up to its name!” Ji Haoyue’s face turned solemn, but he showed no fear.
Above him floated an ancient bronze mirror, shrouded in hazy chaotic energy.
“The Ji Clan’s ancient mirror!”
“Exactly!”
In the distance, Ye Fan’s heart was shaken. Ji Haoyue’s God-King Physique had only just awakened, yet he already had such power. The accompanying Phenomenon shook him to the core.
He was desperate to awaken the full potential of his Primeval Desolate Sacred Physique.
