Chapter 179 Cannot Be Torn
Chapter 179 Cannot Be Torn
Upon hearing this smile, the man turned his gaze towards him.
Lin Liwen quickly composed herself, walked to the sofa, sat down, and put her bag aside.
"Do you know..." she looked up at Su Wuli, "how I felt when the appraiser told me about the value of that jade?"
Su Wuli nodded slightly as she looked at her, probably feeling the same way she did.
"I thought you had been hiding a treasure for so long, and you were going to use it to slap those people in the face at the crucial moment. Since you've brought it to me, you must have made a decision."
Lin Liwen said, still feeling it was unreal, "You actually got it on the spot, right now."
She couldn't help but repeat it over and over.
Lin Liwen couldn't help but look at the man beside her again. She had just mentioned the value of the jade, but he hadn't even frowned.
She looked away from Su Wuli, and couldn't help but lower her voice, "Just how much of this stuff does he have left?"
Su Wuli paused upon hearing this, then said there were many more.
But after thinking about it, he shook his head, "I don't know."
Lin Liwen took a deep breath, stood up from the sofa, picked up her bag, walked to the door, bent down to pick up the umbrella, and opened the door.
"Let's go, I'm afraid my heart won't be able to take it if we stay any longer."
"Let him go first," Su Wuli said.
Lin Liwen paused upon hearing this. As his manager, she naturally knew how to handle the situation. "I'll take him out and put him in my car first. I'll come back to pick you up later."
"Okay." Su Wuli nodded. "Thank you, Sister Wen."
It was almost midnight when I parked the car downstairs at the apartment building.
Su Wuli opened the car door, and the night breeze blowing in carried a slight chill, causing her skirt to sway slightly.
She glanced down at it; when the brand delivered the dress, she thought the lake blue color was too bright.
Standing in the night now feels just right.
Su Wuli turned and walked into the building.
Her skirt was so long that it swept the ground with every step she took, so she had to hold it up to avoid being stepped on.
Once she reached her floor, the only sound in the hallway was her own footsteps.
Pushing open the door, I saw the living room light was on, and a person was sitting on the sofa.
Yu Chen leaned back there, one leg casually bent.
He heard a noise and turned his head.
Su Wuli stood in the entrance hall, her lake-blue skirt trailing on the ground.
Jane glowed with a warm white light under the entryway lamp.
Her hair was a little disheveled, with a few strands hanging down by her temples and clinging to her cheeks.
Her cheeks were red, I don’t know if it was from the wind or something else.
The man's gaze moved down from her face, landed on the hem of her skirt, and finally returned to her face.
His gaze was undisguised and unwavering.
Su Wuli felt a little unsteady under his gaze, as if he could see right through her.
He then said, "I'm going to change my clothes."
After saying that, he walked towards the bedroom.
As she passed the sofa, a hand suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.
The force was clearly not strong, yet she couldn't break free.
Yu Chen pulled her into his arms, and she fell onto his lap.
A large hand encircled her waist, its palm pressed against her lake-blue dress.
He slowly rubbed his finger on it.
"It looks great." A deep voice whispered in her ear.
Su Wuli's face flushed slightly. "The dress was borrowed."
She raised her hand to try and remove his hand from her waist.
Yu Chen gently pressed his fingers on her waist, but didn't let go.
Su Wuli's hand was pressed on the back of his hand and she didn't pull it.
"It has to be paid back," she said again.
Yu Chen looked down at her, his gaze falling from her eyelashes to her lake-blue dress.
He said meaningfully, "Then we need to look even more carefully."
As soon as she finished speaking, Su Wuli remembered that the jade pendant had been sold.
The dress was borrowed from the brand, and I have to pay for it if it gets damaged.
When that thought crossed my mind, I felt terrible.
Su Wuli grabbed his hand and clenched it tightly, with a hint of stubbornness, "You can't tear it."
Yu Chen looked at her, without letting go.
"I really can't tear this," she emphasized, "I can't afford to pay for it."
Yu Chen's lips twitched slightly. "Did I say I would tear it apart?"
Upon hearing this, Su Wuli was taken aback. She hadn't said that before... but...
She remembered those clothes from before.
She pursed her lips and changed the subject, saying, "I need to change my clothes."
"I'll change it for you," Yu Chen said in a deep voice.
Before Su Wuli could react, he had already picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.
The bedroom light was on.
Yu Chen placed her beside the bed and stood in front of her.
She sat on the edge of the bed, looking up at him.
The already tall man was now even taller than her, his eyes fixed on her.
A warm hand rested on her shoulder, sliding down the thin shoulder strap to her back.
The dress has a row of invisible zippers hidden in the fabric at the back.
My calloused fingers touched the zipper pull and tried to pull it down.
It didn't move.
He tried pulling it from a different direction, but still couldn't move it.
Su Wuli sat there, feeling his fingers tracing the back of her body.
The fingertips are rough, and they feel a little itchy when they brush against the skin.
Her back was tense, and her breathing was a little erratic.
His fingers moved from her back, tracing her waistline to her side.
The dress fit perfectly, every inch of it clinging to her skin.
His fingers traced her waist, moving slowly and carefully, as if searching for something.
But he clearly knows where the zipper is, so why is he still looking for it...?
Su Wuli finally couldn't help but grab his wrist.
Her voice was soft, "I can do it myself."
Yu Chen looked down at her upon hearing the sound.
She held his wrist; her fingers were fair and slender, clearly lacking strength.
Su Wuli repeated, "I'll do it myself."
Only then did he release his grip.
She breathed a sigh of relief, reached behind her back to touch the zipper pull and pulled it down, but it got stuck halfway down.
I pulled again, but it still got stuck.
Su Wuli tried pulling it up a little and then down, but it still got stuck.
She got a little anxious and fumbled around behind her back, but couldn't get it open no matter what she did.
The man stood beside her, watching her with amusement.
Su Wuli raised her head and met his gaze.
Her face flushed, and she wanted to ask him for help, but she had just said that she would do it herself.
Just as she was struggling with her decision, Yu Chen suddenly reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Su Wuli's hands were still frozen behind her back, her whole body pressed against him.
"I'll do it." Yu Chen lowered his head and whispered in her ear.
His hand landed on her back, and when his fingertips touched the zipper pull, Su Wuli tensed up completely.
The zipper was very small; he tried to pull it twice but couldn't.
Yu Chen didn't rush to pull it up. He ran his fingertips along the skin next to the zipper, slowly touching his waist and up to his shoulder blades.
Each stroke was very slow, so slow that Su Wuli could even count every inch his fingers moved.
Her breathing became much lighter without her even realizing it.
The man's fingers stopped at the zipper pull, pinched it, and pulled it down an inch.
Finally, the fabric parted, revealing a section of fair skin.
She flinched as the coolness touched her.
The large hand stopped.
"cold?"
Su Wuli shook her head, subconsciously biting her lip.
The zipper slid all the way to the bottom, and for some reason she instinctively reached out to pull it up, but Yu Chen had already grabbed her wrist.
"Don't move."
She didn't move.
His hand moved from her back and landed on her shoulder.
The thin shoulder strap was still hanging there; he hooked it with his fingers and pulled it to the side.
The shoulder strap slipped off her shoulder and slid down her arm.
Su Wuli lowered her head and stared at her knees, not daring to look at him.
Yu Chenyou pulled down the other shoulder strap as well.
The dress slid down completely, bunching up at her waist.
Her entire back was exposed, revealing the outline of her shoulder blades and the faint lines of her spine...
It was so white it was dazzling under the lights.
His fingers fell from her shoulder and slowly traveled down her spine.
The fingertips brushed against each bone, extremely slowly.
Su Wuli gripped her knees, her nails digging in.
His fingers rested on her waist, where the dress was piled up and the zipper ended.
"Turn around."
She shook her head.
