She Knew She Loved Him(Completed)

Chapter 2:She Had a Dream

Chapter 2:She Had a Dream

The apartment diagonally from Zunnie's had been empty for a few months now and she was fine with that. Even though there were times she was overly curious as to who would move in, she had stopped peeking to see if someone had.

She kept reminding her self that it was alright to be curious; 'who wasn't curious when it came to their neighbors. Don't they say, 'precaution is better than cure?' She would constantly say every time she peeped down the hall.

Lake-view Condos has been her home for three years now and she loved it. From the serenity to the night view, one could say it was heaven in Una City. The lake and garden had a calmness to it. Trying to keep a healthy lifestyle, she often went for morning jogs or walked around the small park nearby.

There also happened to be a gym on the second floor of her building. Near the complex was a small shopping mall with a few designer stores and a grocery market.

It looked as if it were a small village on the city outskirts. The condos were costly to rent, but the safety and comfort of the residents was a priority. So it was a safe and gated area.

When she arrived, she noticed that the elevator was being used so she headed towards the stairs.

"Oh, I need to call Sanua! She should have landed by now." She said as she pulled her phone from her bag and dialed a number.

The phone rang twice before Sanua picked up.

"Well, if it ain't Zunnie Boo!"

"Hey darling, how was your flight?"

"Too long. Are you home yet?"

"I just got in. Are we still on for dinner tomorrow? Will give you enough time to sleep in since it's Saturday." Zunnie replied smiling.

"Yes girl, you definitely know me. I've missed you and I look forward to partying till we can't no more tomorrow night."

'Ha-ha, this girl sure loves to party.' Zunnie smiled as she listened to the latest gossip about Sanua's famous friends.

"Hey San, how's your mom. Is she doing any better?" Zunnie inquired after hearing enough juicy gossip.

Mrs. Luo was in her late fifties and has been suffering from constant headaches. She recently had a doctor's visit, and they told her she had a tumor on the left side of her brain. The good thing was they caught it early and surgery would be a success.

"She's doing much better, although she still has mild headaches. Oh, the surgery is in two weeks."

"That's good, I'll make sure to be there. It's at eight, right?"

"Yes, she'll be happy that you can make it. To her, you're like a daughter. Sometimes I think she likes you more than me." San said, pouting on the other side of the phone.

"Oh my, is that jealousy I smell? I really am grateful to her. I do look up to her as a mom. I'll stop by to see her on Tuesday since I only have two appointments."

"M'kay, will let her know. Make sure to bring her favorite."

"Will do." Zunnie smiled thinking about her famous white chocolate chip cookies that were to die for.

After chatting for twenty minutes, they said goodbye. It was always nice catching up with her girl San.

Sanua and Zunnie had been best friends for a long time now. They had been ride or die since elementary school. Both being intelligent girls, got into the same high school but went their separate ways in college.

Zunnie pursued Psychology whilst Sanua studied Art and Design. At age twenty-seven, she inherited her mom and dad's company, Luo Fashions and has been doing a damn good job.

San was constantly in the limelight, which she has a love-hate relationship with. She enjoyed staying at Zunnie's condo when work became stressful or when the press bombarded her.

Zunnie, on the other hand, has an older brother and refused to be part of the entertainment industry. Instead, she chose to lead a quiet life away from her family's fame and fortune. It's like no-one really knew she was the young madam of the Bai Entertainment Corp unless she attended their events.

After hanging up, Zunnie took a warm shower, watched a movie then went to bed.

As she laid in bed, her mind drifted to the patients she met with. She loved being a Psychologist even if she occasionally had some difficult patients. To her, there was something magical about being able to help someone feel better about themselves. Watching them come to her office feeling down and seeing them go home happy after treatment, made Zunnie feel proud and accomplished.

One of the patients had been three years older than Nyo. She was having a tough time adjusting to her new school and was being bullied daily. Thinking about her Zunnie couldn't help but worry about her cute and innocent little Nyo.

'Hope he's doing well in school. Kids can be so cruel.' She thought as she closed her and drifted off to sleep.

That night she dreamed that her neighbor was a puppy who could talk, and they became best buddies.
