Chapter 729: Su Wanxin, Do You Really Like Me?
Chapter 729: Su Wanxin, Do You Really Like Me?
Fu Shihan saw her reaction, his body stiffened, he knew his worries were not unfounded.
Fu Shihan waited for a long time, but Su Wanxin never spoke, never giving him an answer that would satisfy him. She didn’t say the words, "Okay, I won’t leave."
His suspicions confirmed, the gentleness in his eyes gradually dispersed, replaced by a fleeting annoyance.
He scoffed, looking at her with a complex gaze.
Indeed, her desire to be with him was not firm.
He couldn’t fathom what more she could possibly want, wasn’t he good enough to her?
Even though he had lost his memories about her, Fu Shihan was very certain that his patience with her was unprecedented.
He had already made so many concessions, why couldn’t she just obediently agree? Couldn’t she even utter some sweet words to placate him?
He had said he would solve all their problems himself, issues with his family and hers, he would handle them all well.
He would give her whatever she wanted, and even what she didn’t want.
He had already handed over everything he owned to her mother; yet, even so, was she still unable to firmly decide to be with him forever?
The room was silent as Fu Shihan recalled every little detail that had happened between them.
All the recent arguments and cold wars were ended by him taking the initiative to make peace.
She never took the initiative, never.
Her reactions made him feel as though, maybe she liked him, but not nearly as much as he liked her.
"Su Wanxin."
In the suffocating atmosphere, Fu Shihan spoke softly. Su Wanxin looked up at him, listening to his question.
"Do you really like me?"
Su Wanxin’s gaze faltered, she paused in her breath, listening to him continue.
"If I hadn’t been persistently pursuing you, would you have left me long ago? Tell me what you think. I don’t want to guess anymore."
Su Wanxin clenched her teeth, finally speaking. "If I say yes, would you leave?"
Fu Shihan stood up, looking down at her. "When you decide it’s not, come find me."
After saying that, he turned and walked out of the room.
The moment the door closed felt like a bucket of cold water being poured over Su Wanxin’s head.
She stared blankly at the closed door, then after a moment, forcefully threw the pillow beside her onto the floor.
Outside, Fu Shihan stood in the corridor for a while, seeing that she had no intention of following him, he scoffed at himself and returned to his room.
This time, he was curious to see how long she would wait to come find him!
Inside, Su Wanxin curled up on the bed, and after a very long time, she slowly got up, picked up the pillow from the floor, and put it back in its place.
She walked to the door, looked back and memorized the arrangement of the room, then left.
The Fu Family hadn’t arranged for her to stay the night here, so she couldn’t stay here overnight; she had to go back to Yangyang’s place.
Standing in the corridor, she looked both ways, recalling the route Fu Shihan had brought her by, then slowly walked back.
She successfully found the place, tiptoed into the bed, but had no sleep come to her.
Sleepless until dawn, at six o’clock in the morning, Su Wanxin finished washing up in the bathroom, stood by the window, and looked downstairs.
As she expected, the elderly were always up early. Right now, Fu Yansheng was taking a walk downstairs.
