Chapter 706 I Guessed Who Instructed Them to Harm Me
Su Yao has never had a boyfriend, but it’s only a matter of time before she does.
Su Wanxin thought Lu Ci was a decent person, if it were him, the Su Family would also be pleased. The only problem, it seems, is with her.
Given the deep relationship between the Lu Family and the Fu Family, Su Wanxin thought, if the family didn’t agree, there could only be one reason, and that’s her issue with the Fu Family.
Su Wanxin disliked causing trouble for others, yet she never expected that one day, she would bring such a problem to her family.
But fortunately, the Lu Family liked Su Yao.
Su Wanxin closed her eyes, feigning sleep. Seeing her look a bit tired, Fu Shihan adjusted the air conditioning temperature and stopped talking to her.
It was more than two hours later when they arrived back home; it was already late into the night, and Su Yao had not returned yet.
Su Wanxin entered the house and took out her phone. She saw a message from Su Yao saying she would be home in about half an hour and told her to go to sleep first.
Su Wanxin turned to look at Fu Shihan who had followed her in, thought for a moment, and asked, "Do you want to wait with me for Yaoyao to come back?"
"Sure."
Fu Shihan nodded without hesitation, took off his jacket, and sat on the sofa. He always felt she was still angry with him, so he wanted to talk to her more.
Su Wanxin turned on the TV and it just so happened to be the movie channel, so she sat down to watch for a while before Fu Shihan pulled her over and embraced her.
"Next time something happens, tell me."
He spoke softly, and Su Wanxin was startled for a moment before realizing he was referring to the attack by those two women.
"It’s all in the past, it’s okay now," Su Wanxin smiled, "weren’t those people taken away by you?"
"You knew?"
"Yeah, I went to the police station, and they said the people had been taken away, so I guessed it must have been your doing."
Fu Shihan frowned upon hearing this. "You suspected it was me, why didn’t you come to me to ask about the follow-up?"
"I... I went to your company, but you just happened to be out, probably to meet a client. You seemed to be in a hurry, so I didn’t get out of the car to disturb you."
Su Wanxin hesitated for a moment and confessed her attempt to find him, then noticed his face darkening.
Fu Shihan looked at her, wanting to be angry but holding back.
"Next time no matter what, whenever and wherever you see me, remember to find me," he said seriously, staring into Su Wanxin’s eyes. "Priorities first. You come first, other things after."
Su Wanxin: "..."
Su Wanxin: "You, you really are..."
Hard to handle.
Su Wanxin sighed, gave a bitter smile and shook her head distractedly watching the TV, and told him, "Actually, I almost guessed who’s behind them."
"Oh? Who?" Fu Shihan was a bit curious, "And how did you guess?"
"It’s quite simple." Su Wanxin replied softly, "I had some suspicions on the day of the incident."
Later that day as she was going through their backpacks, checking for other contraband, Su Wanxin saw a tiny object.
It was really, really small, a keychain.
She only noticed it because she thought the pattern on it looked somewhat familiar.
She didn’t immediately remember where she had seen it, but later she recalled it was something she had seen online while researching.
Zhang Xinjie had tried to frame her before, posted on Weibo to incite fan emotions, and spewed venom about her online; Su Wanxin once visited Weibo to see for herself how badly she was being cursed out, and even checked out Zhang Xinjie’s fans’ topic square.
