Chapter 675: Lawyer Su Gets Jealous

Su Yao lowered her head, rubbing her eyes and wiping tears, no longer looking at him.

Lu Ci didn’t expect her reaction to be so strong, and after watching for a while, he suddenly thought of a possibility.

Could it be?

Lu Ci pondered and finally couldn’t help but ask, "Was it your first kiss?"

Su Yao’s breathing hitched, and her tears fell even harder.

Lu Ci closed his eyes, feeling that it was over.

He knew the girl had a habit of blushing easily, but he thought Wanxin was just the same, so he didn’t think much of it.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t realize," Lu Ci softly apologized, "If I had known that it was your first kiss, I would have definitely..."

"Definitely what?" She interrupted him halfway, sniffing and asking in displeasure, "Definitely left sooner, right?"

"I would definitely not have finished so quickly."

Lu Ci’s startling words came with a faint trace of a smile in his eyes as he reached out to wipe her tears.

"Stop crying, it looks so pitiful."

"Who needs your pity?"

"You don’t need it, but I do it willingly, alright?" Lu Ci sighed helplessly, "You say, you’ve been taken advantage of by me, shouldn’t you consider being my girlfriend now?"

"I won’t consider it, let’s just treat it like it never happened."

"That wasn’t a big wave, how can you say such cold words?" Lu Ci raised an eyebrow, "Then you’ve also taken advantage of me, don’t you think about being responsible to me?"

"Can you have some shame?"

"Alright, I’ll stop teasing." Lu Ci nodded earnestly. "Let’s have a proper talk, at least let’s clarify what happened tonight."

Lu Ci carefully observed her expression and saw that she was still angry.

But he wasn’t sure if she was still angry about him talking to another woman, or about him kissing her. Or maybe, it was a combination of both?

Then the problem might be a bit serious.

Lu Ci thought about getting up to pour her a glass of water but was afraid she might run off, so he simply pulled her along with him.

Handing her the cup, he looked down at her and asked, "That woman just now, do you know her?"

Su Yao shook her head.

So she wasn’t angry because she saw an enemy.

"Then do you think I was doing something indecent with her?"

Su Yao shook her head again. "I’m not the neighborhood committee, I can’t control everything."

Lu Ci hooked her chin with his finger, with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile: "Is Lawyer Su jealous?"

Su Yao: "..."

Su Yao: "Are you really shameless?"

"Then you tell me, why are you so angry?" Lu Ci raised an eyebrow. "If you don’t like me at all, no matter what I do with anyone, you shouldn’t be this upset."

"Are you pursuing me now?" Su Yao countered, and after seeing him nod, she took a sip of water, put down the cup, and said, "Fine, then I’ll tell you the reason."

Su Yao quickly managed her emotions and put her thoughts in order.

She gave him her reason swiftly, "I hate people who look at the next best thing while eating from their bowl."

"I told you, I have nothing with her, she just came to talk to me for a bit."

"Is President Lu really naive, or pretending to be dumb?"

Su Yao scoffed.

"In your eyes, would a woman who has no interest in you and no agenda make a special trip to see you in the dead of night just to exchange a few superficial pleasantries?"

Lu Ci was momentarily taken aback as Su Yao continued.

"Or do you think, since you don’t like her, whatever she does doesn’t matter to you?"
