Chapter 673: Don’t Provoke Me Again

Chapter 673: Don’t Provoke Me Again

Su Yao looked at him with tightly furrowed brows, her face full of anger. She shifted her gaze away, unwilling to meet his eyes, and pushed him, wanting to leave.

"Just now, that was the owner of the resort, knowing I was here, came over to say hello."

Lu Ci stepped in front of her again, frowning slightly, not wanting to let her go.

"It doesn’t matter to me who she is, and what she wants with you matters even less to me." Su Yao spoke coldly: "Good dogs don’t block the way, move aside."

"Jeez, why are you so hot-tempered."

"...I am hot-tempered, so what? My parents spoiled me, if you have a problem with that, go complain to them!"

Su Yao raised her voice, breathing heavily from anger. Lips pursed tightly, she glared at him with a slight sidelong glance.

"From now on, stop bothering me, I don’t want to see you again!"

"Are you serious?" Lu Ci was silent for a moment, then asked softly.

"Serious! I’ve never been more serious!"

Su Yao responded without hesitation, feeling a slight stabbing pain in her chest, the particularly uncomfortable kind.

She had always known that Lu Ci approached her for a reason; initially because of Fu Shihan, and later... probably because he spent a lot of money on her and felt reluctant.

She could understand all this; after all, people are mundane, and nobody is exempt from worldly desires.

She never blamed him for it, but ultimately, she found that she didn’t like it.

"Lu Ci."

Su Yao watched him for a long while, then lowered her head, the anger seemingly disappearing all at once, softly calling his name, saying.

"The money you gave me before, I will have someone deliver it to your company tomorrow, so really, do not contact me again."

"What money." Lu Ci furrowed his brows, stunned for a moment before realizing: "You think I’m the kind of person who would take back what I’ve given?"

"It doesn’t matter whether you are or not, I shouldn’t have taken that money, that was my fault."

"Su Yao, don’t be like this." Hearing this, Lu Ci suddenly began to panic. "The money, I gave it willingly, it has nothing to do with you."

"The money, I am also returning willingly, it has nothing to do with you either." Su Yao rebuffed easily. "Let me go, I want to go back and sleep."

"Nothing happened between me and her, moreover, Yangyang was in the room, you can imagine I wouldn’t do anything."

"So what you mean is, if Yangyang wasn’t there, you would have done something?"

"You..." Lu Ci gave a wry smile.

Lawyers are really hard to deal with.

"I’m not sex-crazed, whoever it is doesn’t matter. You getting this upset over it, there’s really no need."

Lu Ci couldn’t understand what she was getting at—something that could be explained in a few words, why get so angry over it?

They weren’t even together yet, if they were together in the future, would he have to cut contact with all other women?

"There’s no need, so I’m not angry anymore." Su Yao nodded. "Can you let me go now?"

She looked at him, even giving him a smile to convince him of her words. But this smile made Lu Ci feel even more uncomfortable.

Lu Ci didn’t move, still blocking her way. As she stepped forward trying to walk beside and past him, he suddenly grabbed her hand.

"Don’t go. I know you must still be angry."

"What relationship do I have with you that I should be angry over you?" Su Yao asked him, amused: "Don’t flatter yourself, okay?"

His grip on her hand was especially strong, causing her a bit of pain.

"Let go of me quickly, don’t force me to really turn against you!"
