Chapter 659: Fight for the House?

Chapter 659: Fight for the House?

"Wanwan, if you have nothing else planned for the holiday this week, how about I take you to a film set for fun?"

Before leaving, Fu Shiyi couldn’t help but suggest.

"It’s not far, just on the outskirts of the city. There’s a resort nearby where you can ski. How about taking Yangyang along and having fun for a couple of days?"

Su Wanxin was initially going to refuse, but considering that Yangyang had indeed been eager to ski, she changed her mind and said, "I’m not sure if I’ll have time. We can get in touch closer to the date."

"Okay then, I’ll head back now and give you a call when the time comes."

Fu Shiyi hurried off, and when Su Wanxin went home that evening, she told Su Yao about the plan.

Su Yao, who grew up abroad, had never seen a film set for a costume drama and was somewhat interested. However, the idea of going with Fu Shihan’s sister made her feel somewhat annoyed.

"Mommy, are we going out with little auntie?" Yangyang asked excitedly upon hearing their conversation. "Where are we going? To ski?"

He was still fixated on the idea, so Su Wanxin, not wanting to dampen his spirits, agreed to the weekend plan when Fu Shiyi reached out again.

On Friday night, Fu Shiyi sent a car to pick them up and take them directly to the resort. Upon seeing Yangyang, he quickly handed over a red envelope, saving himself the trouble of having to suck up to him.

Yangyang, who hadn’t seen her for a few days, clung to her and acted coquettishly, which irritated Su Yao. She cursed inwardly calling him a little bastard; she had also given him a red envelope over the New Year, yet he never acted so affectionately with her.

After they put their stuff in their rooms, they all went to dinner. When they were back on their way to their rooms, they ran into Lu Ci by the elevator. By then, Su Yao was beyond caring and not surprised at all.

It was a gathering organized by Fu Shihan’s sister, so anything was to be expected. If Lu Ci was here, Fu Shihan would definitely not be far behind.

The fact that Fu Shiyi hadn’t arranged for her to share a room with Lu Ci, or for her sister to be with Fu Shihan, had already made her incredibly grateful.

However, Su Yao’s relief was short-lived as she soon realized that Lu Ci was staying in the room opposite hers.

"Hey, neighbor," Lu Ci said with a cheeky grin as he watched her pull out her key card, then suggested, "How about we share a room?"

"Ugly rejection."

"How about sharing a bed?"

"Get lost!"

Nowadays, Su Yao’s head ached just hearing his voice. She quickly went into her room and slammed the door, like she was sealing out the plague to lock him outside.

Lu Ci approached casually and rang the doorbell, insisting until she opened the door fuming with anger, then he smiled and said, "Can we discuss something?"

Su Yao kept silent, facing him with a dark expression.

"On Lantern Festival, should I come pick you up directly, or will you come to my company to find me?"

Su Yao was baffled.

Su Yao: "When did I agree to go home with you?"

"So you mean, you still want to have another meal with my grandpa?" Lu Ci said with implications, "I wouldn’t mind, my grandpa was quite happy too."

"Please spare me!" Su Yao couldn’t help but wail. "Can you just go back and tell them we broke up? I really can’t keep up this act!"

"I’m afraid that’s not going to work." Lu Ci seemed troubled and hesitated before saying, "Can I tell you something?"

"What?"

"That is, pretty much everyone in Imperial Capital who knows me now knows that you are my girlfriend."

Su Yao gasped, her expression turning from stunned to furiously frantic. After slamming the door shut, it morphed into utter despondency.

She knew it! That’s why she felt those clients had been looking at her strangely these past few days! So that was the reason?!
