Chapter 647: It’s really nice to be together for more than ten hours.
Since Wanxin had already spoken those words, anything further said would be futile. Fu Shihan, this pesky boy, one doesn’t know what he has been up to behind the scenes.
Qi Ran lowered his eyes to look at the necklace on the table, his emotions complicated. How long can his passion last? Maybe in a few days, he’ll regret everything he did, including the agreement he sent over today.
After leaving the study, Wanxin went straight back to her room, threw herself on the bed, and sobbed softly under the covers.
She truly laid her cards on the table with her family. She was insane.
After lying quietly for a while, Fu Shihan sent her a message asking when she and Su Yao planned to return. She replied with a date, and he quickly booked the tickets, then there was silence.
He didn’t even ask her if anything happened today, whether Qi Ran was angry or happy, which really upset the distressed Wanxin alone.
She stared resentfully at the phone screen for a full five or six minutes until it finally lit up again.
H: Was Aunt Qi happy today? Did she take the gifts I sent?
Upon seeing this message, Wanxin snorted and replied with four words: None of your business.
Then she felt better, turned off her phone, and went to sleep.
Seeing her response, Fu Shihan sensed that she was not in a good mood and wanted to call to ask what happened, but he couldn’t reach her.
He slightly furrowed his brows, checked the location system to confirm she was still at home, then he breathed a sigh of relief.
Wanxin didn’t contact him for two continuous days until the day they had to return to Hua Country, where she reluctantly met him at the airport.
Su Bai was the one who came to see them off. Seeing Fu Shihan, he was frustrated, feeling like this man haunted them persistently and there was nothing he could do about it.
Su Bai accompanied Wanxin through the check-in process and struggled internally with leaving.
He wanted to quietly remind Wanxin to stay away from that man, but then he thought he had repeated that advice many times to no effect, so he figured he needed to find another method.
In the lounge, Wanxin was holding Yangyang and sitting on the sofa, whispering softly, showing no regard for Fu Shihan.
Fu Shihan was not in a hurry, knowing that once they boarded the plane, they would have to sit together for over ten hours; plenty of time and opportunity to talk.
Time slowly passed, and forty minutes later, the staff kindly prompted them to board. Fu Shihan leisurely followed behind Wanxin. After boarding the plane, he took the seat next to Wanxin before Su Yao could.
The aisle had two seats on each side, with Wanxin by the window and he by the aisle. That meant the remaining Su Yao could only sit across the aisle with Yangyang.
Su Yao glared fiercely at him, but seeing other passengers intending to move further along, she had no choice but to sit down and settle Yangyang.
"You should let Su Yao sit here later," Wanxin spoke softly, addressing him for the first time in nearly three days. Fu Shihan adjusted his seat, fastened his seatbelt, and completely ignored her request as if it were nothing but wind passing by his ear.
He had snatched this seat fair and square and was not about to give it up.
The plane took off on schedule after about fifteen minutes. Fu Shihan turned his head to look at the person beside him, took her hand, and asked, "Why are you upset?"
He felt that he had behaved quite decently on Qi Ran’s birthday, certainly not enough to provoke Qi Ran into a fury upon returning, so what exactly was her irritation about?
Wanxin glared at him, keeping silent. Fu Shihan gave a wry smile and leaned slightly towards her, suggesting, "Let’s have a good talk in a while."
By "in a while," he meant after the flight attendants had brought the blankets and would no longer disturb them.
