Chapter 637: Teaching You How to Dress Properly
Yangyang scampered all the way up to Su Wanxin, tugging her hand to lead her into the house.
Su Wanxin was completely baffled, having no clue about what he wanted to do. It was only when they entered the cloakroom and he whispered, "Mommy, this little dress isn’t pretty, let’s change it!" did she start wondering.
Su Wanxin glanced down at her clothes, frowning slightly, "Are you sure?"
"Yep!"
"Isn’t this the dress you picked out for me this morning?"
Yangyang: "..."
What to do, the little dress is so pretty! But Daddy won’t let her wear it!
After wrestling with his thoughts for a while, he finally sighed and continued, "I-I made a mistake this morning! It’s not pretty at all!"
He paced around the cloakroom twice, selecting clothes and pants for her. Su Wanxin took them and furrowed her brows even more, "Are you sure about this outfit?"
"Yes!"
"These are autumn clothes. It’s currently 37 degrees outside, who are you trying to roast alive?" Su Wanxin was both amused and exasperated. She crouched down to his level, looking him in the eyes. "What’s going on? Why the sudden urge to change my dress?"
Yangyang pouted and said nothing. Thinking for a moment, Su Wanxin soothed him, "You can tell mommy in secret, and I won’t tell anyone else."
"Even Daddy?"
"Of course, it’s our secret."
"Daddy said you don’t look pretty in this, and he sent me to tell you to change," blurted out Fu Xiaoyang without a second thought, betraying a certain someone. "Mommy, I think it’s pretty."
Su Wanxin: "..."
How did Fu Shihan find out what she was wearing today?
She felt both irritated and amused, carrying Yangyang out as if she had already changed her clothes.
The party didn’t end until after nine at night, and a bit exhausted, Su Wanxin promptly took Yangyang upstairs to rest—tomorrow they had to pick up Fu Shihan from the airport.
His flight was supposed to arrive at eleven in the morning, and right now he was just about to board at the airport.
After Su Wanxin received his boarding message, she went to sleep. Before leaving home the next day, remembering the secret call he made to Yangyang yesterday, she deliberately wore that red dress again.
No one else in the family knew about Fu Shihan’s return yet. Su Wanxin left home at ten and arrived at the airport on time at eleven. As she approached the arrival gate, Fu Shihan was also just coming out.
From a distance, he saw that splash of red amidst the crowd. It was dazzling and impossible to look away from.
He set his eyes on her the moment he spotted her, striding quickly to her side, wrapping an arm around her neck and pulling her into a warm embrace, continuing out the door with her in his arms.
Sometimes being tall is a significant advantage. For example, at this moment, all he had to do was to look down to glimpse the wonderful view at the neckline of her dress.
Fu Shihan’s gaze was intense and his throat felt a bit dry, the hand encircling her tightening.
Su Wanxin found he was walking too fast and, considering his long legs, after a while, she stopped cooperating. She looked up at him and asked, "What’s the rush? Are there debt collectors after you?"
"We’re going to discuss how to dress properly once we’re back," replied Fu Shihan in a husky voice, looking down at her.
"What’s wrong with my clothes? Everybody on the street dresses like this!"
She wasn’t lying. The weather was so hot that the streets were filled with people wearing strappy dresses. Why is it a problem when she wears one?
"They’re not as pretty as you; are you satisfied with this answer?"
Su Wanxin was at a loss for words—she intended to express dissatisfaction, but his cunning flattery hit the mark, leaving her unable to chastise him.
Do men these days have such strong survival instincts? Always finding a lifeline even when they’ve angered someone?
