Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth

Chapter 622: Are You Proposing or Threatening?

Chapter 622: Are You Proposing or Threatening?

Wanxin immediately reached out to snatch it as soon as she realized what it was. Yangyang looked confused, suddenly feeling like crying.

"Baby, give this to Mommy, and Mommy will give you something else later, okay?"

Su Wanxin squatted down to coax him, and after completing the set of kissing, hugging, and lifting him up high, she succeeded effortlessly.

Fu Shihan parked the car and entered the house to see her smug little expression, a smile lingering at the corner of his mouth.

"What are you doing here?" Su Wanxin asked him softly, feeling inexplicably guilty. "How am I supposed to lie to them later?"

"Just say I climbed over the wall to get in, and you couldn’t stop me."

Fu Shihan touched her head, pulled her to the couch, and examined the wound she had scraped the day before.

The wound had mostly scabbed over, but her leg was bruised and purple, and Fu Shihan couldn’t help but feel heartache.

"Go upstairs, to your room, I need to talk to you about something."

Fu Shihan took charge and pulled Su Wanxin upstairs. Compared to Wanxin’s nervousness, he was relaxed and calm, which was almost ridiculous.

Once they were in her room and the door was closed, the first thing Fu Shihan did was lower his head.

"Is this what you wanted to talk about?"

"You’ve got the photo already, I’m just taking what I deserve."

They had agreed yesterday that she would kiss him and he would give her the photo.

"The photo was given to me by Yangyang!"

"Why do you think I gave the photo to him?" Fu Shihan raised an eyebrow, assertively wrapping his arms around her and moving her toward the bed.

Su Wanxin’s heart raced with trepidation, feeling like an underage teenager in love, sneaking her boyfriend into the house, worried about her parents coming back any minute.

"I missed you so much last night I couldn’t sleep well, let me hold you for a while." Fu Shihan held her tight, whispering in her ear, "Does your leg still hurt? Weren’t you scared by the car accident?"

"It doesn’t hurt, I wasn’t scared. But if my dad sees what you’re doing now, the person with the hurt leg would be you – he would break your legs."

"That would be perfect, wouldn’t it? I’d just stay at your place and not leave. I’ve wanted to be your live-in son-in-law for a long time. How about we have another child and have it take the Su surname, what do you think?"

"I think... you’re shameless." Su Wanxin spoke her mind, unable to hold back a smile. "What is it that you actually want to talk to me about?"

"Two things."

"Okay, tell me."

"Be good and listen, stop talking about breaking up." The smile disappeared from Fu Shihan’s eyes as he looked at her seriously, enunciating each word: "Let me handle everything, all you need to do is stay with me."

This was his main reason for coming here – to tell her this.

"Trust me, I will take care of everything and then marry you. We will get married, we definitely will. Even if you’re unwilling, I’ll tie you up and take you back."

Su Wanxin frowned, silent for a moment. "Is this... a proposal, or a threat?"

"Both." Fu Shihan hugged her again, his chin resting on top of her head, he sighed. "Right now, I just can’t wait to let everyone know that you’re mine."

Wanxin leaned against his chest, listening to his heartbeat, and then his voice, tinged with laughter.

"What do you think their expressions would be if they found out Yangyang is my son and we’re getting married?"

Wanxin thought about it and felt it would be quite interesting.

The more Fu Shihan talked about it, the more he wanted to get married; he figured that after the New Year, once she returned, he really should take her to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

He’d feel secure with a marriage certificate; otherwise, he always felt like she might leave him.
