Chapter 619: Su Yao Offers Help

Today letting Su Wanxin go back with Qi Ran and the others was just a helpless move.

Heaven knows how much he wants to hold her now, talk to her, chat about their issues.

The purpose of his trip to the Empire was to get a commitment from her, to tell him that she wouldn’t back down, that she would definitely be with him.

Although it’s hard to get Su Wanxin to say such words, he still wanted to try. Besides, he needed to find an opportunity to talk with Qi Ran as well.

After a restless night, Fu Shihan made sure Yangyang was settled the next morning, then he went to Ruida Headquarters.

He’s a man of action, especially impatient when it comes to Su Wanxin’s matter.

When Su Yao saw Fu Shihan, she was very surprised. She walked up to him with suspicion and asked, "What are you here for?"

"Here to talk business?"

His response made Su Yao laugh, knowing full well his true intention. "Why bother? Isn’t your company very happy with the collaboration with your legal team?"

"Is Aunt Qi here?"

"It doesn’t matter whether she’s here or not, she won’t see you."

"So, can you do me a favor?" Fu Shihan asked softly in negotiation, "We have the same goal, not wanting to see Wanwan upset. You know she likes me."

Su Yao’s eyebrows furrowed, wanting to refute him, but intermittent images popped into her mind.

She thought about the car accident that happened downstairs yesterday, and Su Wanxin’s immediate action to protect him.

Su Yao also saw just how anxious Fu Shihan was about Su Wanxin yesterday. But... human hearts are made of flesh, and no one in the world wants to see their family member risking their life for someone else.

So even though he was good to Su Wanxin, she still couldn’t get over this hump in her heart.

But he was right; she was aware Su Wanxin liked him, and she didn’t want to see Su Wanxin unhappy.

After hesitating for a long while, Su Yao sighed, "She’s in court, if nothing unexpected happens, she’ll be back in an hour. Go wait in her office."

She led Fu Shihan to Qi Ran’s place, then turned around to leave for her busy schedule.

Fu Shihan stayed alone in the room, scanning the environment he was in.

A simple office, it felt just like Qi Ran herself, serious and efficient.

The desk was furnished with a computer, telephone, and a pure black cup, along with a pen holder. Next to it was a wall of bookshelves, filled with books and files.

Fu Shihan sat in the chair, picked up a book to pass the time, till Qi Ran returned.

Qi Ran was taken aback when she pushed the door open and saw someone in the office. She didn’t remember scheduling any meeting at this time. Hearing the sound of Fu Shihan turning his head to look, she coldly said, "What are you doing here?"

Her words were filled with unwelcoming vibes, which Fu Shihan picked up on. He sighed inwardly and replied, "Su Yao asked me to wait here."

Fu Shihan stood up and waited for her to take off her coat and hang it up before sitting back when she sat down behind her desk.

"I’m here to discuss with you a potential collaboration between our companies."

Qi Ran scoffed, "Since when has President Fu changed his ways to value my small company? What, is Anpu not satisfying you with their services?"

Fu Group Empire’s branch had a long-term collaboration with Anpu Law Firm. And Anpu was a rival of Ruida.

When Fu Shihan found out about this, he felt as if many of his previous actions were like courting death.

"Aunt Qi jests, it’s Ruida that wouldn’t look up to my little company."
