Su Wanxin never expected Fu Shihan to make a special trip for her; her heart was filled with a mix of indescribable flavors.

"How did he know we were shopping there?" Su Yao asked curiously.

Su Wanxin hesitated, biting the corner of her mouth. After thinking for a while, she answered in a low voice, "No matter where I am, he always knows."

Su Yao: "..."

What kind of dog-food-like answer is this.

She suddenly regretted asking.

Su Wanxin hung up the last piece of clothing and began to organize the accessories they had bought. Her expression clearly changed when she picked up a ring.

"Really? It’s that magical? Take it off and let’s examine it!"

The two of them sat on the ground and stared at the ring for a while, eventually feeling that Fu Shihan was probably just fooling them.

Su Wanxin got up and tossed the ring into the jewelry box, not wanting to wear it anymore.

But less than half a minute after she walked out of the room, she turned back and returned—under Su Yao’s "I knew it would be like this" gaze, she reluctantly put it back on.

Su Yao chuckled gently, "Did Fu Shihan never give you anything nice before? Is a ring really worth your cherishment?"

"I don’t know." Su Wanxin replied, unhappily pursing her lips, "It just feels very important. As soon as I take it off, I feel uneasy."

She couldn’t remember what Fu Shihan had said when he gave her the ring initially; otherwise, just like Su Yao said, a ring should not be something to fuss over so much.

Even if the ring was supposed to be their engagement ring, Su Wanxin felt that this so-called engagement must have been something sneaky that only the two of them thought was legitimate.
