Lu Ci was here for a social engagement today as well, and was just about to leave when he unexpectedly bumped into her.

Thinking about Fu Shihan’s current situation, Lu Ci took steps toward the private room where Su Yao was.

He scanned over the several people by the table, then his gaze landed on Su Yao’s face. The girl clearly had too much to drink; her complexion was off, yet she was still going at it.

Someone recognized him and immediately spoke up, fawning over this Crown Prince.

Leaving the private room, Su Yao kept her distance from him, not forgetting what Fu Shihan had previously said to her.

"You can still tell me about your troubles if you like. It’d make me happy."

In the end, it was still because of Fu Shihan’s involvement; Lu Ci felt wronged but that was pointless.

Su Yao, having had quite a bit to drink, was barely able to walk in a straight line. She had intended to call a substitute driver to take her home when Lu Ci said, "Come on, I’ll take you."

"Don’t, I don’t need your ride!" Su Yao quickly shook her head, shaking so much that she nearly made herself dizzy. "Stay away from me!"

Why was this girl so hostile towards him?

"Unwarranted kindness is either plotting or thievery. Why would you offer me a ride?"

Lu Ci: "It’s on the way... I am going to see Fu Shihan. Don’t you live next door to him?"

"Oh." Su Yao nodded her head, "That makes sense, let’s go."

Her mood shifted quickly, and Lu Ci swiftly caught the car keys she tossed over. Following behind her with a wry smile, he started her car to take her home.

Once Su Yao got into the car, she rubbed her neck tiredly and then turned to look at him, "Aren’t my sister and I really alike? Why did you say we’re not very alike?"

"Because indeed there are differences."

"Huh?" Su Yao was puzzled, "In the Empire, no one can tell us apart!"
