Su Wanxin opened her mouth, really wanting to ask him what he did to feel so sorry about that he has to lay on the flattery this thick.

She glanced at the time, it was already midnight.

She let out a long sigh of relief, reminding him that ten minutes were up and it was time to go back.

Fu Shihan also looked down at the time, then his gaze returned to her face, and he said softly, "My birthday has come."

It was after midnight, which meant it was his birthday.

Su Wanxin slightly widened her eyes, startled for a moment, her mind a bit blank.

She thought about it and wished him a happy birthday. He nodded in acceptance, then spread his hands out, asking for his gift.

"You suddenly tell me it’s your birthday, where am I supposed to get you a gift in the middle of the night?" she laughed helplessly. "What do you want? I’ll buy it during the day."

You.

I want you.

This answer flashed across Fu Shihan’s mind instantly, as if he had thought about it long ago.

But he had only recently re-encountered her, not even a month had passed.

In such a short time, he had been proven wrong so much compared to the past year.

He once thought his former self was stupid, repeatedly reminding himself to treat a woman he had forgotten well.

He also thought that if he met that woman again, he would definitely not fall as deep as before, doing so many dumb things.

But contrary to his hopes, the person in front of him hadn’t done anything, not even spoken a sweet word to him. Yet, he was already thinking about how to completely possess her.

He wanted her, he had never felt such a strong desire for a woman.

Fu Shihan’s eyes slowly moved down from hers, casually, full of intention, looking downward.

Su Wanxin felt stiff under his gaze, thoughts of escape flitting through her mind.

"Don’t leave without finishing our talk." Seeing through her thoughts, he spoke with a husky voice, leaning forward to grab her hand.

"What exactly do you want to do?"

Su Wanxin asked him softly, nervously pursing her lips. That inadvertent action, like a fuse, sparked something.

Fu Shihan got out of the car and walked around to her side to pull her out.

Su Wanxin staggered a few steps, barely keeping up with his pace, struggling not to go with him to his home.

It was late at night and quiet. She dared not speak too loudly, fearing she would wake up Yangyang and Su Yao, thinking something had happened.

Fu Shihan brought her home, closed the door, turned on the light, and upon turning around, saw her looking so anxious she almost cried, his heart instantly softened.

"Fu Shihan, don’t be like this."

Su Wanxin leaned into the corner, her voice trembling with fear.

She knew if he forced himself on her, she couldn’t escape.

Those who encounter narrow paths, the brave wins; he was strong, she couldn’t beat him.

"Don’t cry, don’t be scared, I won’t touch you."

Fu Shihan frowned, as if bewitched, unable to stand seeing her look so aggrieved and scared.

"If you don’t agree, I won’t do anything."

His assurance slightly relaxed her uneasy heart, but his following words almost made her cry again.

He said—

"But tonight, you can’t leave here."

Even if he didn’t want her, he had to keep her tonight.

He wanted to know what it felt like to sleep holding her.

Su Wanxin desperately leaned into the corner, if there was a tree there, she would cling to it and not let go.

If she didn’t leave, Fu Shihan simply bent down and scooped her up by the waist.

He went upstairs and then, as if remembering something, passed by the master bedroom and went into the guest room.
