Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth

Chapter 416: Must Find Her, Must Be Good to Her.

Chapter 416: Must Find Her, Must Be Good to Her.

Fu Shihan dialed her number in front of her, and only after hearing her phone ring did he feel satisfied.

Su Wanxin was relieved that she hadn’t given a fake number on a whim; otherwise, it would be quite embarrassing now.

But... "Why does President Fu want my mobile number?"

"Su Yu said you have a boyfriend?"

"What’s it to you."

"It concerns me a lot." Fu Shihan answered bluntly: "Our relationship is a bit... special."

He didn’t remember her, but many people around him knew of her existence, which was clearly abnormal.

He suspected he had been hypnotized or brainwashed, yet such things couldn’t be done against his will.

Throughout this past year, he tried various methods to try and remember who she was, all ending in failure.

In the end, every time he saw her picture, he felt complicated emotions.

His son pointed at her photo and called her a "bad mommy," and he received monthly scheduled emails sent by himself.

The content was consistent, a video clip. In the video, he warned himself holding her picture.

Telling him that if one day he forgot her, he must find her and be good to her.

No useful information was provided, just repeating those few lines, to be good to her.

Sending emails to himself, every month.

Leaving reminders for himself, they were everywhere.

To think he, Fu Shihan, would do such a foolish thing, it seems laughable to speak of.

It was as if he was once terrified of truly forgetting this person and equally afraid he might have hurt her.

But then again, why should he be so good to her?

A cursory search online would reveal old news of her clashing with him. Even if people around him always told him they were good, and the news was fake.

But why would Fu Shihan believe others’ words so easily?

He didn’t trust the news, nor did he trust others, he only trusted himself.

"Although it feels a bit strange to say this now, Miss Su it’s better you don’t get a boyfriend."

Fu Shihan spoke softly, his words full of warning.

Su Wanxin scoffed, looking at him as if he were crazy. "What if I do?"

Even her parents didn’t meddle in whether she found a boyfriend or not, so why should he?

"Find one, I’ll beat one. Don’t believe me, just try."

"..."

Fu Shihan spoke with her briefly, felt that it was about time, and left in his car, heading straight for the airport.

Su Wanxin was inexplicably faced with a barrage of warnings, and while she felt annoyed, doubts also arose in her heart.

Upon returning home, she called Su Bai to report her safety, then lay in bed deep in thought.

For the entire year, she forced herself to ignore the emptiness in her heart and had not taken the initiative to try and recover her past memories.

Because as soon as she entertained the slightest thought of it, her heart would cramp in pain, so excruciating that she doubted her life.

She didn’t remember what had happened, but she knew it could not be anything good; otherwise, it wouldn’t hurt so much.

She lived her current life quietly, not stepping out of line.

She knew she was rescued from Hua Country a year ago, so she touched nothing related to Hua Country.

Even though her family traveled frequently to Hua Country for business trips this year, she never thought about joining them. Because just the thought of going back made her heartache unbearably.

If going back to that place was such a painful ordeal, then why should she?

To knowingly court danger as if seeking a tiger’s den?

She didn’t want to.

If it wasn’t for the strange things Fu Shihan had told her, she felt she probably would never consider returning to Hua Country in this lifetime.
