Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth

Chapter 409 Family

Chapter 409 Family

When Wanxin came to the Fu Family as an amulet, it wasn’t as simple as just staying by Fu Shihan’s side.

The two made a pact, and that’s how their fates became tightly intertwined.

Mu Xinghan has been searching for a way to break it for years, and he found it—it involved having someone else replace Wanxin.

Mu Suyu knew all this and did not stop him.

Mu Xinghan knew that Wanxin’s willpower wasn’t as strong as Fu Shihan’s, making it relatively easy to hypnotize and brainwash her.

So, he planned to hypnotize Wanxin after Fu Shihan forgot about her, making them forget each other, and then take Wanxin away.

But Mu Suyu didn’t give him the chance. Why did Wanxin still forget? And why did she even forget herself?

Mu Suyu was stunned for a moment, then turned around and ran out of the room, down the stairs.

Wanxin watched her leave, slowly got up, walked to the French windows, and looked at the scenery outside.

Outside the villa was a large lawn, with a swimming pool and woods in the distance, and a helipad with a helicopter parked on it.

The parking lot downstairs was filled with cars, about thirty to forty, of various colors, brands, and types.

This was a manor-like villa, occupying a large area. The scenery was nice, but Wanxin had no memory of it.

She stood in front of the window, her mind blank.

For some reason, she felt empty inside, as if she had lost something important. But whatever it was, she couldn’t remember.

Suddenly, hurried footsteps approached from afar and entered the room she was in.

Wanxin turned sideways to look and saw several people standing there, their expressions excited and joyful as they gazed at her, some with tears in their eyes.

Su Yao looked at her with an indifferent expression, bathed in the twilight’s glow.

It was a strange feeling, as if another version of herself had come from a parallel world to this place. It was both foreign and familiar.

She slowly walked up to Wanxin, smiled gently and said, "Hello, I’m Su Yao."

Wanxin furrowed her brows slightly, her gaze shifting beyond her to the group of people behind, then slowly returning to meet Su Yao’s eyes.

"You are Su Yao, then who am I?" she asked, puzzled and with a splitting headache.

Before she was seven, Wanxin was called Su Yao. The name Wanxin was given to her by Fu Shihan.

Her current memories only retained the period at the orphanage; everything else was forgotten.

"Well, this is a long story. Let the doctor check your health first, and then we can take it slow."

Su Yao tried to take her hand but was instinctively avoided by her.

Wanxin also seemed surprised by her own reaction, looking at Su Yao’s disappointed eyes and quietly murmured, "I’m sorry."

But while she avoided Su Yao’s closeness, she couldn’t avoid others.

The sudden embrace caught Wanxin off guard.

It was an extremely unfamiliar yet very warm embrace, inexplicably comforting.

"Yaoyao, Mom has finally found you."

The woman, unable to hold back her tears, held Wanxin tightly in her arms, continuously calling her Yaoyao.

Wanxin’s hands, hanging by her sides, clenched slightly before gently gripping the woman’s clothes, consoling, "Don’t cry."

Don’t cry, it makes her anxious.

The room was a bit chaotic, some cried, some laughed, some were happy, some were confused.

The doctor examined Wanxin and confirmed that her physical condition was currently not serious, needing only good rest.

As for the loss of memory, it was due to brain damage caused by taking sleeping pills.
