Chapter 1173: The Clueless Foolish Child

"Alright." Mu Suyu hesitated, biting her lip. "Does he know where my brother is?"

"No, but they had a private meeting a few days ago."

"The two of them met?" Mu Suyu widened her eyes, already imagining the scene of them fighting. "Is my brother in the hospital now?"

"There was no fight and no one ended up in the hospital." Su Wanxin laughed and patted her head. "We live in a civilized society, what are you thinking."

"Sure, society is civilized, but whether some people are or not is another question..." Mu Suyu couldn’t help but mutter softly. Everyone knew Fu Shihan’s temperament, and Mu Xinghan was a hothead who wouldn’t back down easily. Besides, Su Wanxin was caught in the middle, so what good could come from their meeting?

Su Wanxin couldn’t stop her wild imagination and went back to work with a smile. Mu Suyu stayed by her side until past six and then got into Fu Shihan’s car with her.

Su Wanxin sat in the passenger seat and gave Fu Shihan a look, indicating he should say something to reassure the person in the back.

Even though, in some people’s eyes, he was an unimpressive and uncivilized person, his words were the ones that could most put Mu Suyu at ease at the moment, and that was an undeniable fact.

Fu Shihan caught onto Su Wanxin’s meaning, glanced at Mu Suyu through the rearview mirror, and joined the conversation. The three talked on and off, and before they knew it, they were home.

As soon as Mu Suyu got out of the car, Yangyang, who was waiting in the yard, dragged her inside to play, her train of thought interrupted, considerably lightening her mood.

Su Wanxin looked at the big and small figures walking away and was just about to ask Fu Shihan something when he leaned down and kissed her on the corner of her lips.

"He’s not a fresh graduate or new to dealing with those people. He knows better than us how to handle them. You know what I mean."

Su Wanxin paused for a moment, then nodded. "I understand."

"Good."

Holding Su Wanxin’s hand, Fu Shihan led her inside. He looked at Mu Suyu, who was already playing with Yangyang, furrowed his brows slightly, and sighed inwardly.

Su Wanxin was right; she was a kindhearted fool. So, if any bad news about Mu Xinghan did surface, Fu Shihan didn’t plan on telling her. He thought Su Wanxin probably felt the same.

It was already past eleven by the time Su Wanxin managed to get Mu Suyu and Yangyang to sleep. Exhausted, she returned to the bedroom, collapsed next to Fu Shihan, and snuggled against him.

Fu Shihan lowered his head to look at her snuggled up against him and couldn’t resist kissing her cheek.

"Tired?"

"Yes." Su Wanxin nodded, murmuring, "I have to go to the Su Family tomorrow morning, and at noon, I need to go to court to pick up Yaoyao for lunch. Send someone to keep an eye on Xiao Yu; don’t let her leave the house."

"Alright, I’ll arrange it." Fu Shihan turned off the lights and whispered tenderly, "Go to sleep."

Exhausted mentally and physically, Su Wanxin soon fell asleep in his arms. The next morning, on her way to the company, she received a call from Chen Lei halfway there.

"Are you coming over soon?"

"Yes, I’m already on the way, about thirty minutes away." Su Wanxin detected a hint of excitement in his voice, "What’s got you so happy?"

"You could tell?" Chen Lei chuckled, "You’ve been following that Alex situation, right?"

"I know a bit about it, why?"

"It’s nothing, really, just that due to his mess, those companies at Huazheng Kairen are now leaping around in a panic. They’re calling me for help."

Chen Lei couldn’t help but laugh.

They’re all enemies, or you could even say nemeses, after all, Alex almost got him kicked out, and we all know about the improper competition tactics used by Hua Zheng Brokerage. He hasn’t forgotten any of that.
