Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth

Chapter 1136: Return

Chapter 1136: Return

Thinking about Cheng Yao’s outrageous actions over time, plus the faint pain in her ankle, and the seemingly indifferent expression on the person’s face in front of her, Su Wanxin’s heart burned with anger.

She cast a sidelong glance at Fu Shihan, pulling a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, then leaned back, lying on the bed, and pulled up the quilt intending to rest and sleep.

Fu Shihan watched her actions, his eyes flickering.

He thought she would lose her temper, waiting to hear more, but is this the end? She plans not to say anything?

Fu·a bit cheeky·Shihan·wanting to get scolded by his wife·Shihan stared at Su Wanxin’s back for a while, then got up and left the room.

Su Wanxin heard the footsteps and the sound of the door opening, and she turned around confused. After confirming she was truly alone in the room, she took a deep breath, raised her hand to turn off the light, and curled up in the quilt a bit spitefully.

She wanted to sleep but didn’t feel sleepy at all.

Fu Shihan went downstairs for a while and returned about ten minutes later. He turned on the light and saw the lump formed in the quilt.

Stepping forward, he uncovered the quilt and pulled her out, looking at her angry face, he couldn’t help but laugh.

"What did I do to upset you?"

Su Wanxin gritted her teeth, remaining silent. Seeing this, Fu Shihan spoke again.

"It’s Cheng who upset you, I’m not taking the blame."

He looked as if he had seen through everything, lowered his head, and pulled her calf, seriously applying the medicine he had found downstairs.

There was a brief silence in the room, just when Su Wanxin thought he wouldn’t mention the matter again, he placed the medicinal wine on the table and looked up at her with a smile in his eyes.

Fu Shihan looked at her for a few seconds and leisurely asked, "Are you jealous?"

"...Shut up, no one thinks you’re mute."

Fu Shihan raised an eyebrow with a smile, sensing her temper was indeed quite bad, he decided not to provoke her further.

Instead, he went to the bathroom, then returned to continue the conversation.

The lights went out, and the room was dim.

Su Wanxin lay against his arm, listening to him quietly as he pursued the question. "Can you guess how long Cheng Yao will stay here this time?"

"I don’t know."

"Then guess what foolish things she might do to see me?"

"..." Su Wanxin bit her teeth tightly, then slowly exhaled, asking, "Fu Shihan, are you deliberately trying to pick a fight?"

Knowing full well she’s angry because of Cheng Yao, yet repeatedly bringing it up.

He was right, she was jealous and angry, so what?

Even though she knew he had no interest in Cheng Yao, likely even full of disgust.

But for some reason, just thinking about Cheng Yao working so close to him made her uncomfortable.

And even though she didn’t want to admit it, she had to acknowledge, she had once been outwitted by Cheng Yao.

Her suicide years ago wouldn’t have happened if Cheng Yao hadn’t fueled it.

So all these things mixed together made Su Wanxin very upset.

"No." Fu Shihan answered her question bluntly. "I felt uneasy, so I wanted someone to join me in this mess."

And she was the unlucky one he chose.

Su Wanxin was momentarily puzzled hearing this, not quite understanding why he was upset.

Fu Shihan didn’t explain either, he stroked her hair, speaking more softly, "Fu Ziqian, how much can you still remember about him?"

[Slacked off and got married, been busy and confused for days, today I’ll update one Chapter first, tomorrow I will tidy the plot and write more.

I’ve received many blessings, gifts, letters, and videos from the babies, very happy and touched.

Love you all, hearts, kisses, I’ll keep working hard, bowing.]
