Chapter 982: Getting Things Done When Drunk

Chapter 982: Chapter 982: Getting Things Done When Drunk The impeccably perfect him, wearing a black tailcoat, walked slowly toward her at the banquet. With each step he took, the surroundings erupted in screams as they always did.

As he reached her side and took her hand, all the spotlights were on him. Just imagining such a scene was a delight!

Summer Sutton realized she was becoming vain, wanting to take him into her social circle, eager to proudly announce to everyone that such an outstanding person was her husband. She was so vain that she wanted people to associate the names Adrian Walyon or Watt Bennet with her.

However, to wait for that day to come, the most important thing for her now was to have Watt acknowledge his identity in front of her.

During her lunch break at work, Summer Sutton made a call to Marshall Quinn.

"Marshall, when you come to pick me up this afternoon, help me prepare a bottle, the stronger, the better—ideally, the kind that would make someone drunk with just one glass."

She paused for a moment, then added, "Oh, and I need a packet of knockout drugs, make sure it’s enough to put someone to sleep."

This kind of drug was banned from the market, and its purposes were dubious no matter how you looked at it.

Marshall was dumbfounded after hearing her request, somewhat doubting if he heard correctly, "Knockout drugs?"

"Yes, knockout drugs, you didn’t hear wrong." Summer Sutton repeated.

Marshall’s nerves tensed after she spoke.

"Miss Sutton, what are we planning to do with this?"

"You don’t need to worry about that, just help me prepare it." Summer Sutton replied.

As she wouldn’t explain, Marshall could only rely on his own understanding to guess.

Thinking about it, his eyes widened in disbelief, "You, you’re not planning to use it on the young master, are you?"

"Men shouldn’t gossip so much." Summer Sutton casually threw back a line.

The less Summer Sutton was willing to explain, the more Marshall’s thoughts went astray.

As he thought more, his imagination went further off course, "Miss Sutton, you’re not planning to knock the young master out and then—you know, right?"

Suddenly, Marshall could hardly understand this couple.

They were married, and although Watt appeared cold towards Summer Sutton, Marshall believed that given Summer’s allure, Watt couldn’t possibly resist her if she made any move.

Summer didn’t quite grasp what the "you know" referred to from his words.

"Just bring it to me," she said without explanation and hung up the phone.

Listening to the beeping sound in the disconnected call, Marshall was speechless about Summer Sutton for a long time.

...

After hanging up, Summer Sutton continued with her work.

Though Marshall couldn’t really understand her, he still prepared everything she needed when he came to pick her up after work.

After work, Summer Sutton first went to Morningview Group to handle some business matters for a few hours.

By the time she went to Watt’s villa, it was already past ten.

When she went in, Watt was still awake.

"Did you have dinner? Were you waiting for me? I brought dinner back." Summer Sutton came prepared, carrying several bags of takeout as she entered.

She placed the food she brought back on the dining table piece by piece, took a bottle of red wine, and poured a glass for each of them.

While Watt wasn’t paying attention, she quickly poured a packet of white powder into one of the glasses.

She gently swirled the glass, watched as the powder quickly dissolved, and nonchalantly placed the glass back.
