Chapter 976: Chapter 976: I Prefer It When You Call Me Darling "What are you thinking?" Giving him a sidelong glance, Summer Sutton climbed off of him.

After taking a look at him, she didn’t rush to leave.

Watt Bennet raised an eyebrow, waiting for her next words.

Summer Sutton gazed deeply at him for a long moment, then suddenly grabbed his hand, her voice a bit urgent, "Watt, let’s never be apart again, okay?"

As if afraid he would reject her, Summer Sutton’s hand held his tightly.

Watt seemed caught off guard by her words, and the time he was stunned stretched a bit long.

Summer Sutton’s eyes showed a hint of panic, anxiously watching his reaction.

She wanted a promise from him. She and he had already been through a life-and-death separation once, and Summer Sutton didn’t want to be apart from him a second time!

Watt was silent for a very, very long time, but in the end, he said nothing.

"You can’t kick me out!" Summer Sutton didn’t want to rush him, so she turned and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Her words seemed to demand it of him, yet were imperious, almost like an order.

Watt came back to his senses, his eyes a bit stagnant.

In the kitchen, Summer Sutton clattered around, the noise she made a little loud, becoming the only source of sound in the villa during dusk.

However, it didn’t bother Watt at all.

Summer Sutton prepared a very elaborate dinner, opting for French cuisine, meticulously crafted, taking a long time.

After spending a full three hours, once everything was ready, she opened a bottle of red wine, poured a glass for herself, and another for Watt.

Raising her glass of red wine, she gently clinked it with his, her red lips slightly upturned, and under the shimmering light, her smile blossomed like a flower, "Celebrating my move in!"

Watt lightly closed his eyes, softly reminding her, "Miss Sutton, I haven’t agreed to you moving in yet."

"Does it matter?" Summer Sutton paid no heed to his words at all,

Gazing around the villa, she began to list the benefits of the two of them living together, "Look, this villa is so big, there are so many rooms, wouldn’t it feel lonely if only you lived here alone? With me here, there’s more company, someone to talk to when you come back in the evening, meals will be ready for you, and I can help you with any inconveniences. With all these benefits, could you bear to refuse?"

"Miss Sutton!" Watt rubbed his temples, seeming to have a slight headache.

"You’ve been calling me Summer for the past few days!" Summer Sutton seemed indifferent about his form of address, adopting an expression that clearly showed she knew him well.

Watt, "..."

"I still prefer you calling me like you used to!" Summer Sutton downed the wine in her glass in one go, leaned closer to him, a hint of teasing flashing in her eyes, "If you don’t like calling me like before, and you prefer calling me Little Sutton, Summer, or even darling, I wouldn’t mind."

Watt was at a loss for words at her boldness, adjusting his posture as he reassessed her.

He had always thought he knew Summer Sutton better than anyone.

Yet today, he realized that his previous view was completely wrong!

What little understanding he thought he had of Summer Sutton, how could that count as understanding?

He had never seen such a roguish side of her before!

Lightly tapping his fingers on the table, Watt looked at Summer Sutton with an odd expression.

Summer Sutton paused slightly, casting a sidelong glance at him, and suddenly blurted out, "You used to call me ’baby’ a lot too. If you want to call me that now, you can."
