Chapter 969: An Unexpected Encounter

Chapter 969: Chapter 969: An Unexpected Encounter After a busy day with Rain Carter at the recording site, Rain decided to treat everyone to dinner after work as a reward.

Summer Sutton certainly couldn’t offend her senior, so when Rain invited everyone to dinner, she couldn’t refuse.

So, after wrapping up, the entire recording crew of dozens headed to a high-end restaurant together.

Large group dinners are always very lively.

Even more so when, before the meal even started, Shining Sky and a few others suddenly walked in.

Leading the way were Alexander Winslow and Watt Bennet.

Rain had interviewed Watt before, so they were somewhat acquainted.

As soon as Watt’s face appeared, Rain waved to him from afar, "Mr. Bennet, what a pleasure to meet you here, come join us! It’s on me!"

Watt glanced over at Summer Sutton beside her and seemed to hesitate for a moment.

Before he could respond, Alexander walked over to Rain’s direction first, "Why wouldn’t we take up a dinner offer? Thanks, Producer Carter!"

Without caring whether Watt was pleased or not, Alexander found a spot, sat down, and cheerfully greeted Summer Sutton from a few seats away, "Hi, Little Sutton!"

His way of calling her was cringeworthy...

He didn’t even fear that others might misunderstand their relationship.

Summer Sutton shivered, a chill running down her spine.

Watt gave a similar shiver, seemingly at a loss for words with him.

With Alexander already seated, Watt couldn’t find a reason to leave by himself.

Pushing his wheelchair, he slowly moved in the direction of the group.

His willingness to come was already a sign of respect, so Rain quickly stood up and offered him her seat, "Sit here! Sit here!"

Sitting next to Rain was Summer Sutton.

Watt seemed to pause for a moment, hesitated, and then sat down.

After that, the group began eating lively.

Not even ten minutes into the meal, the waiter brought over some soup.

The freshly cooked hot soup was steaming.

As the waiter was placing it on the table, perhaps the edge of the bowl was too hot, causing their hand to tremble.

With that shake, the soup spilled over onto the table.

The scalding soup trickled down the table, slightly splashing onto Watt’s clothes.

It shouldn’t have burned him, but he was someone with a cleanliness obsession.

Nobody understood Adrian Walyon’s obsessive cleanliness more than Summer Sutton.

Seeing the dirty spot on his shirt, Watt furrowed his brow.

Clearly unable to stand it, he wiped with a napkin, but it didn’t clean off, so he pushed his wheelchair slowly towards the restroom, "Excuse me for a moment!"

"I’ll come with you!" As soon as he left, Alexander followed suit.

Summer Sutton quietly watched from the side, her brow furrowed with suspicion.

Was it really necessary for Alexander to follow just to help tidy up the stain on the shirt?

Watching their retreating figures, Summer Sutton thought hard about the recent news.

It seemed like, for several consecutive days recently, every time Watt appeared in front of cameras, Alexander was always by his side.

As she thought about it, Summer Sutton suddenly felt something was amiss.

With curiosity, after Watt left, she slowly followed.

At the restroom, Watt and Alexander were in front of the sink.

Watt in his wheelchair found the sink a bit high, needing to stand to wash his hands.

Alexander went to help him up, but Watt pushed his arm away.

He seemed not to like relying on others for everything, trying to stand up on his own using the armrest.
