Chapter 533: Chapter 533: Strangle Her and Bury on the Spot
He grabbed her hand, holding her with one hand and holding Unity with the other, and dragged her outside.
Summer Sutton refused to follow him; he’d always acted recklessly on his own, and now he wanted her to follow suit?
The door was broken like this, and the room was still in disarray, yet he just wanted her to leave with him?
"Adrian, let go!" Summer yelled angrily at his back.
Adrian seemed to ignore her; he pulled Summer a few times but saw she wasn’t cooperating. Casually, he shoved Unity into her arms, then picked her up and led her into the elevator.
"The apartment! No one’s taking care of the apartment!" Summer reminded him.
"How much is your apartment worth? If you lose something, I’ll compensate you tomorrow for everything," Adrian scoffed at her concern.
Summer was so angry she felt like hitting someone.
Is this a money issue?
Does his wealth make him invincible?
What if her computers, files, etc., got lost? Recovering them would be such a hassle!
Summer had already been simmering with anger at him all day, and she was even more furious now, nearly ready to explode.
Tick!
The elevator arrived at the lobby, Adrian carried her out of the complex, reached the car, opened the door, and tossed her inside.
Summer instinctively tried to pull the door open and rush out, but Adrian locked it from the front.
Adrian completely blocked her escape route.
Sitting stiffly back in her seat, Summer glared coldly at him, her expression sour.
"We’ll talk when we get back!" Adrian buckled the seatbelt and roared the engine to life.
Summer’s new apartment was far from both Morning Garden and Sutton Gardens.
Picking the relatively closer Morning Garden, it took Adrian nearly forty minutes of driving to arrive.
Getting out of the car, he retrieved Unity, dropping it to the ground, before grabbing Summer and continuing indoors.
Unity was obedient, even without a leash it didn’t run around, hopping along behind Adrian’s heels and into the garden.
The garden door automatically locked.
Unity hadn’t been back for several days; upon entering, it gleefully sprinted around the living room, going crazy with jumps up and down the cat tree, running everywhere before finally settling into its bed, sitting there and watching the quarreling pair.
Adrian tossed Summer onto the sofa, as if afraid she’d escape, he stood over her, arms on either side, imprisoning her.
"Today’s incident was my fault for not considering your feelings." His dark eyes looked at her seriously. "But it was just an oversight, nothing else beyond that. I have absolutely no relationship with Lorraine Hughes!"
Summer found his words somewhat ridiculous.
As for today, forget about what she thought.
If she and another man were at that blind date table today, how would Adrian have reacted upon walking in?
With his personality, he’d probably strangle the man on the spot and bury him, right?
"Let go of me!" She coldly pushed his hands away, tossed a sentence at him, but didn’t insist on leaving. Summer held Unity and went upstairs.
Over a year had passed; it was her first return to Morning Garden.
Morning Garden hadn’t changed at all; everything inside was as she left it, even the height of the balcony plants were pruned exactly the same.
The number of flowers blooming, the buds, the shape of the branches, nothing had changed.
