Chapter 522: Chapter 522: Only Once a Year
Summer Sutton had no idea what Adrian Walyon was doing tonight.
Afraid that he might be out socializing and come to her place drunk, Summer Sutton deliberately waited for him a while.
She thought that when Adrian came, she could help him make some sobering soup or something like that.
So she sat quietly on the sofa, waiting for more than an hour, but it was already past midnight and Adrian hadn’t shown up.
Summer Sutton suspiciously frowned, thinking she might be overthinking, and that he wouldn’t come tonight, so she lay on the bed preparing to sleep.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, the sound of a key turning in the lock suddenly rang from outside.
The door was pushed open, followed by familiar footsteps.
He really came!
There wasn’t the slightest smell of alcohol on Adrian, clearly, he wasn’t out socializing tonight.
After entering the house, he seemed quite at ease.
He tossed his car keys and phone onto the sofa and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower.
Afraid to disturb her, he deliberately kept the noise down a bit.
After coming out of the shower, maybe because he hadn’t eaten dinner, he was now hungry and started rummaging through the kitchen.
He didn’t make much noise, but in the quiet of the night, the sound was still noticeable.
Summer Sutton’s fridge was usually bare, at most a few bottles of milk, and those weren’t always within their expiration date.
Adrian practically turned the kitchen upside down and found nothing, he seemed a bit frustrated.
He had been clattering around in there for quite a while, and Summer Sutton couldn’t take it anymore and got out of bed.
The kitchen was dimly lit, Adrian only turned on a small lamp, afraid of disturbing her.
Summer Sutton walked in and seeing her awake, Adrian was momentarily stunned.
"There’s nothing else at home, just a pack of noodles." Summer Sutton walked in, opened a cupboard, found a pack of noodles, and started cooking for him at the counter.
Thinking that plain boiled noodles would be too bland, she boiled them a little and then decided to fry them.
She was quite decisive, turning something plain and tasteless into something fragrant by adding various condiments and spices.
Adrian stood quietly by her side, watching her actions, seemingly surprised at how nice she was being tonight.
Summer Sutton simply fried the noodles, served them, and brought them to the dining table.
"Are you going to eat? If not, I’ll eat it." She looked at him, still in the kitchen, and asked.
"Eat, of course, I’ll eat!" Adrian came out and immediately sat down at the dining table.
It’s been over a year since he had a meal made by his wife; could he have it easy?
He must have been very busy tonight, so hungry that he hadn’t eaten, and after tasting Summer Sutton’s fried noodles, he started gobbling them down.
Summer Sutton stood by, quietly watching him eat.
"Can’t you call for takeout?" she asked after watching him for a while.
"If I called takeout, could I come back to eat your cooking?" Adrian answered matter-of-factly.
Summer Sutton was speechless, "..."
Adrian quickly finished the noodles she had fried, feeling extremely content after his hunger was satisfied.
Once satisfied, he started making more demands.
"Buy more things to keep in the fridge tomorrow, more seafood and meat. For two people living here, the house should have more supplies."
He said it as if it was only natural, as if this was his home.
Summer Sutton poured cold water on his idea, "Did I agree to let Mr. Walyon stay over?"
Adrian didn’t take her words seriously.
Isn’t not objecting the same as agreeing?
When it comes to shamelessness, Young Master Walyon claims second place, and no one dares to claim first.
