However, unexpectedly, upon arrival, she saw Summer Sutton and Ariella Sawyer sitting next to each other, having ordered a pile of dishes, drinking champagne, and chatting while eating and drinking.
Her mood seemed completely unaffected by the matter with Diana Wood; she even clinked glasses with Ariella Sawyer.
Seeing her like this, Adrian Walyon let out a long sigh of relief.
Ariella Sawyer was somewhat surprised to see him.
She proactively switched to the chair opposite Summer Sutton, giving her seat to Adrian Walyon.
Pointing to the pile of dishes on the table, Ariella Sawyer invited him, "Have you had dinner? Would you like to join us?"
"No need." Summer Sutton replied to her instead.
The Walyons were having a dinner gathering at this restaurant, and Summer Sutton did not want Adrian Walyon to bring her trouble.
But Ariella Sawyer didn’t take her words seriously.
Her gaze still fixed on Adrian Walyon, she smiled, "I’m treating tonight."
The implication was that she was treating, and she could invite whoever she wanted. Even if Summer Sutton wasn’t welcoming Adrian Walyon, she could do nothing about it.
Summer Sutton raised her head and shot her a sideways glance, feeling speechless.
Adrian Walyon sat down beside Summer Sutton with a barely noticeable smile at the corner of his mouth.
After Adrian Walyon arrived, Ariella Sawyer picked up the menu and ordered several more dishes.
The three of them sat together, creating a harmonious atmosphere for dinner.
The harmonious atmosphere was mostly between Ariella Sawyer and Adrian Walyon, while Summer Sutton’s face remained tense throughout.
As they ate, Adrian Walyon’s thoughts turned to Diana Wood, and he suddenly asked Summer Sutton, "What did Mom just say to you?"
"Nothing much." Summer Sutton quietly continued eating her meal.
In truth, even though she didn’t say anything, Adrian Walyon could guess roughly.
His hand holding the chopsticks stiffened for a moment. After a pause, he seriously reminded her, "No matter what she says, don’t pay attention to it, okay?"
"Don’t worry, Mr. Walyon. I don’t have the time to bother with irrelevant people." Summer Sutton responded lightly.
"That’s for the best." Adrian Walyon felt relieved.
The three finished their dinner and were preparing to leave the restaurant just as the Walyon Family was coming out.
With sharp eyes, Sophie Walyon saw him from afar and ran over to hug him, "Brother! Finally! I’ve missed you so much!"
Adrian Walyon looked at her and was momentarily stunned.
Following the direction she ran from, he glanced at the group of Walyons, appearing slightly surprised.
Merely surprised.
He did not deliberately avoid his family, stopping and meeting Old Master Walyon’s gaze from a few meters away.
The Old Master’s face stiffened as he stared at him and then glanced at Summer Sutton beside him, his expression not very pleasant.
He didn’t say anything, just quietly observed Adrian Walyon.
This was the first time the grandfather and grandson had met in over a year.
During this year, Adrian Walyon hadn’t returned home, and the Old Master hadn’t sought him out.
Clearly, the authoritative Old Master couldn’t lower his face.
Even now, the Old Master remained silent, simply observing him without mentioning anything about wanting him to return home.
Paul Walyon, as Adrian Walyon’s father, was naturally concerned for his son.
Fearing a new argument between Adrian Walyon and the Old Master upon meeting, he hurriedly walked over and took Adrian Walyon’s arm, leading him toward the corridor of the restaurant, "Adrian, come with me for a moment!"
Adrian Walyon harbored no particular resentment towards Paul Walyon. Despite their limited conversation growing up, the father-son bond was definitely there.
