"Mr. Walyon, do you think there’s anything in our film that needs improvement? Or any suggestions on the actors’ performances?"
From the side, Lorraine Hughes’s voice came through.
Ryan Walyon acted as if he didn’t hear her, still staring in the direction of Summer Sutton and Adrian Walyon.
Lorraine followed his gaze, glancing at the two not far away, then looked back at Ryan, momentarily stunned.
"Mr. Walyon!" Tentatively, she called out to Ryan again.
Ryan snapped back, casually tossing her a line, "It’s fine as it is!"
"Is it? Then we’ll continue filming as is." Lorraine smiled slightly, holding her script, and walked away.
Since Ryan Walyon arrived, he hadn’t left for hours.
Adrian Walyon was actually just there to see Summer Sutton, planning to leave after spending some time with her.
However, seeing that Ryan hadn’t left, he decided to stay as well.
He claimed his purpose was to check the filming progress.
But after arriving, his gaze hadn’t left Summer Sutton for the first half of the time.
The second half of the time, he stayed purely to guard against Ryan.
Whether intentional or not, he even called Summer over to his side.
At the scene, one could occasionally hear him ordering Summer around.
"Miss Sutton, I want coffee, not too hot, not too cold."
"Miss Sutton, hold the umbrella! The sun’s so glaring, can’t you see?"
"Move the fan a bit closer!"
Summer Sutton was summoned back and forth like a servant by him, so angry she wanted to punch him.
But he was the financier of the entire film. Offending him might jeopardize the efforts of so many actors in the crew; Summer couldn’t afford that.
...
Adrian and Ryan stayed with the crew until it was nighttime.
By the time work was over, it was already very late.
Summer had originally come with Ariella Sawyer in a car. After work, she bent down intending to get into Ariella’s car, her head already inside, when Adrian stood beside her and shoved her into his convertible.
"Living together and not going back together, what are you thinking?" Adrian tossed Summer into the car, let out a cold laugh, and deliberately raised his voice.
Summer thought of arguing but held back when she looked up and saw Ryan not far away.
Adrian’s words were clearly meant for Ryan to hear, deliberately causing a misunderstanding.
If the misunderstanding could make Ryan let go of some obsessions, Summer felt there was no need to explain.
Adrian started the car and, with a roar, sped past Ryan, the black sports car disappearing into the night like the wind.
After they had driven a bit away from the crew, Summer wanted to get out of the car, "Please, let me out. I can go back by myself."
Adrian glanced at her coolly, the car didn’t stop, maintaining its fast speed.
He clearly indicated that he wouldn’t stop the car, and if she wanted to get out, she could.
Summer was so angry that her chest felt tight.
With him driving so fast, how was she supposed to get out?
Summer had no choice, so she obediently sat back down.
In the car, she kept thinking about what she would do if Adrian followed her into the apartment and stayed the night.
She thought a lot, even considering what she would do if Adrian misbehaved—comply unwillingly? Or resist?
But when they arrived at the complex, to her surprise, Adrian let her out of the car and didn’t follow her in.
This surprised Summer a little.
"What? Miss Sutton can’t bear to see me leave? Want me to accompany you inside?" Adrian’s arm rested lazily on the seatback.
