Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Do you want to unite with Mommy?

Adrian Walyon came to the club today because he was invited by some friends.

Running into Ryan Walyon was something he didn’t expect.

With Summer Sutton leaving, only the two brothers remained on the scene.

Adrian and Ryan also hadn’t seen each other for a year. As soon as Summer disappeared, Adrian followed suit, even more resolutely than Summer; he vanished without even letting the Walyons find him.

At first, the atmosphere between the two was a bit awkward.

Finally, Ryan broke the ice, "How have you been this past year?"

Brothers are always brothers, and without Summer present, Adrian and Ryan could still chat as they usually would.

"Pretty good," Adrian replied coolly with two words.

He was never the type to be unable to live without someone.

Having left the Walyon Family, he could manage just as well!

The development of Morningview Group over the past year is the best proof of that.

"Are you not planning to go back?" Ryan asked again.

"It depends on the family’s attitude towards her!" Adrian tossed back casually, striding leisurely toward the club’s exit.

Fortunately, he said this to Ryan.

If he said it in front of the Old Master and Diana Wood, they would probably be infuriated.

Did he really not return home because the Walyons didn’t accept Summer Sutton?

Adrian didn’t reminisce with Ryan; after leaving, he drove straight back to Morning Garden.

Upon returning, Unity was delighted to see him.

As soon as the garden gate opened, Unity’s round body thumped as it leapt into his arms.

"Meow! Meow!" Unity cried out excitedly in a babyish voice.

"Good kitty!" Adrian rubbed its furry head, carried it into the house, found some cat food, and started feeding it.

Watching Unity looming over its bowl, crunching on the cat food, Adrian felt inexplicably conflicted.

Ever since Summer left Morning Garden over a year ago, Adrian hasn’t moved house.

She left, throwing everything behind to him, even her little pet.

Adrian wasn’t one to like pets; if Unity weren’t Summer’s, he would have tossed it out long ago.

And so, over this past year, he and this little creature have lived together...

Thinking of this, Adrian felt inexplicably complicated inside.

Unity, now bigger than before, also has a greater appetite.

The cat food Adrian poured wasn’t enough; still hungry, Unity lifted its bright blue eyes and looked at him pleadingly, "Meow," "Meow," it called a few times.

Adrian squatted beside it, lifted it, and stared at its furry head, teasing, "You’re called Unity, huh? Your mama doesn’t even want you now! Look at you, poor thing! Named Unity but unable to achieve unity."

Unity stared at him with its round eyes, seeming as though he struck a chord, stopped meowing, and suddenly looked quite aggrieved.

Was it its fault?

Unity seemed to understand his words, initially clamoring for food, but suddenly became melancholic.

Its head drooped gloomily, and it crawled away from Adrian, running to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking up, gazing at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle.

Its eyes seemed somewhat wistful.

Adrian’s gaze drifted in its direction; seeing it like this, a slight twitch played at the corner of his eyes.

He went over, picked up the little guy, and cradled it; he tried asking, "Do you want to reunite with mama?"
