Chapter 463: Chapter 463: The Unchanged Arrogance of 1 Year
Helping him smooth out his clothes, she thought this should calm him down, but Ryan Walyon’s face only seemed to darken further.
Ariella Sawyer couldn’t quite make him out at the moment.
She was well aware that pampering rich kids was never easy.
"I’ll give up this seat for you! I’ll find somewhere else!" Afraid of provoking Ryan Walyon further, Ariella quickly buried her head and slipped away without daring to glance at him.
...
In the lounge area.
The weather was a little hot today, and where Summer Sutton and Adrian Walyon were sitting, the sunlight shone directly.
As she sat there, Summer Sutton didn’t know if it was Adrian Walyon’s gaze or the heat, but sweat covered her forehead and back.
She wanted to raise her hand to wipe it off, but under Adrian’s cold stare, she awkwardly withdrew her hand.
She thought about leaving, but when she caught a glimpse of his "leave if you dare" look, the legs she’d just prepared to stand with were stiffly held back.
Since the moment they arrived in the lounge area, every minute, every second was a torment for Summer Sutton.
Adrian Walyon continued to look at her, and his eyes stayed on her as if he wanted to make up for the 365 lost days over the past year.
Out of the corner of her eye, Summer Sutton quietly glanced in his direction, intending only to take a secret peek at what he was up to.
Unexpectedly, when her eyes turned, they met his straight on.
Summer Sutton suddenly felt embarrassed, like she was caught doing something wrong.
Her face turned quite unnatural.
She fumbled for a bottle of mineral water beside her, pretending to be calm as she opened it and took a gulp.
Adrian Walyon stared at her for a while, and then emotionlessly said, "From now on, you can’t come to places like this!"
As if predicting what she would say, he interrupted her before she could speak, "Even if it’s with Ariella Sawyer, it’s not allowed!"
The words that had been stuck in Summer Sutton’s throat were swallowed back forcefully.
Without contradicting him, she softly replied with an "Okay."
Her gaze swept over him, noticing the key still clutched in his hand, she asked with a soft voice, "Can you give me back the key?"
Adrian Walyon acted as if he hadn’t heard her, keeping the key firmly in his grasp.
He seemed unwilling to give it back, and in her anxiousness, Summer Sutton momentarily forgot their current relationship, leaning towards him to directly snatch it.
The sudden movement seemed to make Adrian Walyon pause for a moment.
His gaze slowly lowered as he looked down at her in his arms, he raised an eyebrow slightly.
Summer Sutton was startled by his look for a few seconds, and she felt a bit awkward.
Unnaturally she climbed off him, composed herself, and casually extended her hand towards him, "Please give me the key."
Adrian Walyon gave her a chilly glance, tossed the key into her hand, and without caring about the wrinkles on his clothes caused by her, got up and headed to the stable, "Follow me!"
Summer Sutton stood stiffly, motionless.
She didn’t understand what his behavior meant today.
"If I have to repeat myself once more, I’ll come over to fetch you directly!" Adrian side-eyed her, casually flicked his cuff.
His tone was the same as a year ago, still as domineering as ever.
When he spoke, there was no room for others to question!
Summer Sutton knew all too well how he would "fetch" her.
There were many people here, and Summer Sutton was afraid of him, so she got up swiftly and joined him before he could continue commanding.
Expressionless, Adrian Walyon withdrew his gaze, selected a horse after reaching the stable, and not bothering to change into riding attire, led it to the lawn.
