Chapter 953: Drugged Wine
Chapter 953: Drugged Wine
"You..." His gaze drifted towards Summer Sutton, pointing at her, the man seemed to be gritting his teeth at her.
Summer Sutton didn’t care much and quickly made her way back to the place where she had just been sitting.
Ariella Sawyer was chatting with a few friends and didn’t seem to notice what was going on over here.
At the scene, a gaze was persistently following Summer Sutton. Wherever she went, that gaze followed.
Once Summer Sutton returned to her seat, she ignored the others present, helped herself to some food, picked up a glass of wine, and started eating her own food.
She tasted the wine, found it good, and drank down the entire glass.
Watt Bennet was nowhere in sight at the moment, and she couldn’t see him.
Summer Sutton didn’t care and continued eating by herself.
"Summer, we’re going to the deck to set off fireworks, want to join?" Suddenly, out of nowhere, Ariella’s voice rang out.
A few steps and she was beside Summer Sutton, pulling her towards the deck.
Summer Sutton wasn’t in the mood for anything tonight; she was purely there as a companion. How could she be in the mood for fireworks?
"I’m not going, you go ahead! Have fun!" She gave Ariella a little push and smiled at her.
"Alright, then, you rest here for a while." Ariella did not insist and let her go, heading to the deck.
Just as her figure drifted away, a server happened to pass by Summer Sutton.
"Miss, would you like some wine?" The server asked politely after glancing at Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton did not refuse. The server handed her a glass of blue cocktail from the tray and quietly left.
Summer Sutton had already had a drink before, and her head was a little dizzy.
After the server handed her the drink, she raised her face and drank it down.
From a distance, a gaze watched her finish the drink, let out a soft sneer, and turned to leave the scene.
After drinking, Summer Sutton sat at the scene for a while longer.
Feeling the place she was in inexplicably becoming warmer, she stood up, intending to go to the corridor for some air, but just as she took a step, her head suddenly felt dizzy.
Pressing her fingertips to her throbbing temples, Summer Sutton paused for a few seconds.
She didn’t pay much mind and continued to walk.
However, after a few steps, the dizziness in her head struck again, more intensely this time, and her body began to feel hot.
When Summer Sutton first felt hot, she attributed it to the sitting environment.
But now, even after leaving, she still felt hot.
Her eyes rigidly turned to the wine glass she had just set down, and she silently pondered, her heart sinking.
The dizziness still assailed her, and Summer Sutton had to rely on the table for support to steady herself.
She fumbled for her phone, wanting to call Ariella, but after several erratic attempts, she found nothing on the sofa.
It was early summer, and the night temperature wasn’t very high. It was still at sea, the ocean breeze blowing steadily.
But Summer Sutton felt unbearably hot.
"Ariella!" Summer Sutton yelled towards the deck, straining her voice.
The scene was a bit noisy, and her voice was drowned in the sea breeze; those on the deck seemed not to hear it.
"Ariella!" Summer Sutton was almost at her limit, furrowing her brows and calling out again.
The only response she got was the sound of seawater lapping against the yacht.
At the scene, the guests were still chatting and laughing, seemingly oblivious to what was happening here.
