Chapter 946: No One Can Take Her Away
Chapter 946: No One Can Take Her Away
When she chased after them, she was so anxious she was about to cry, "Brother Watt, you can’t do this! If your leg can never stand up again because of her, what are we going to do?"
Watt seemed as if he couldn’t hear, continuing to walk his own path.
His arms held Summer Sutton very tightly, clamping her in place, with no intention of handing her over to anyone else.
Alexander Winslow, not feeling at ease, hurriedly followed him out.
"Let me do it!" He wanted to take the person from his hands, but Watt didn’t even glance at him, just sidestepping.
"Don’t worry, I won’t fight with you. No one can take her away from you," Alexander comforted him.
Watt still didn’t respond, stubbornly carrying Summer Sutton from the remote corner of the Winslow Family out to the gate, only returning to his wheelchair after the ambulance arrived to take her to the hospital.
Once Summer Sutton arrived at the hospital, the doctor performed some examinations, followed by several hours of nutrient infusions.
Old Master Winslow truly cared about Summer Sutton and also came, leaning on his cane.
Watching Summer Sutton in the room for a while, he furrowed his brows even more, "Why did this happen?"
Lily Winslow’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned her face away.
"That room hasn’t been used in ages, locked up for so long, how did it suddenly get locked?" Old Master Winslow muttered to himself in confusion.
Watt only briefly pondered, his sharp gaze swept over to Lily Winslow standing nearby.
Besides her, Watt couldn’t think of anyone else who would do such a thing to Summer Sutton.
His gaze was so cold, it was terrifying; when it landed on Lily Winslow, it almost made her tremble in fright.
Lily Winslow was, at heart, a simple girl, not skilled at lying.
Being looked at this way by Watt, her gaze began to dart around in a panic.
With just that one look, there was no need for an admission; Watt already understood everything.
Slowly standing up, he took one step at a time toward her.
"Brother Watt, I was wrong..." Lily Winslow was somewhat scared by him, retreating several steps in a row.
"I just wanted to teach her a slight lesson, make her suffer a bit, I didn’t think about locking her up for so long... Later, when I wanted to open the door, I was afraid someone would catch me, and I hesitated, cowardly..." Retreating as she explained herself, Lily Winslow continuously stepped back.
Watt didn’t listen to her words, his gaze coldly brushing over her, every step he took, the chill intensified.
"Do you know that what you locked in the room was a living person?" In a cold voice, his tone was ice-cold and piercing.
Lily Winslow, "..."
"What has Summer ever done to you? If I recall correctly, nothing at all, right?" Watt took a deep breath, each word spoken through gritted teeth.
Lily Winslow, "..."
"Do you know what I absolutely cannot endure?" Standing next to her, Watt asked with a cold face.
Lily Winslow stiffly shook her head.
Watt coldly looked at her, enunciating, "In this world, what I cannot stand is her being hurt in the slightest!"
He could be injured, he could be crippled, but she could not!
Lily Winslow stared at him in astonishment, her gaze fixed on his serious and stern eyes, tears streaming down.
"Brother Watt..." With trembling hands, she wanted to grab his arm, but Watt coldly shook it off.
