Chapter 943: You—I’m Done with You

Lily Winslow stood not far away, silently watching the direction in which Watt Bennet and Summer Sutton left.

Watt Bennet pulled Summer Sutton toward the quiet corner of the garden. Arriving under a tree, his body suddenly stood up, pinning her back onto the trunk.

His leg was still injured; it hadn’t healed for many days, and when he stood up, he seemed very strained, even breaking into a cold sweat on his forehead.

However, his body pinned Summer Sutton down hard, with a force completely unlike that of an injured person.

"Don’t provoke me!" he warned, his voice cold.

"What have I done?" Summer Sutton was not at all afraid of him. Instead, she sneered after his words, "Mr. Bennet went as far as moving houses just to avoid seeing me. Whatever I do, what has it to do with Mr. Bennet?"

"Summer!" Watt Bennet growled her name softly.

Summer Sutton raised her face, meeting his gaze with pure fury in her eyes.

"Did I say anything wrong? Isn’t it true? You’re the one who keeps trying to push me away. Don’t forget, it’s you, Mr. Bennet! Watt Bennet, I tell you, since you don’t care a bit for me, I don’t want you anymore!" She pronounced each word with decisive bluntness.

Watt Bennet seemed dumbfounded for a moment as if her words had left him stunned.

Summer Sutton ignored him, pushed him away, and sulked, heading off in another direction in the garden.

Lily Winslow stood a short distance from them, listening to their conversation from start to finish, digging her fingertips into her palm repeatedly.

She had never understood why Watt Bennet purposely treated Summer Sutton coldly, but she clearly saw how much Watt cared for Summer.

Even to the point of distancing himself from his own family because of this woman!

Lily Winslow’s heart felt extremely unwilling, quietly staring at the direction where Summer Sutton disappeared for a long time, then slowly followed after her.

Summer Sutton sulked and walked quickly.

The sunlight today was somewhat intense, and Summer Sutton wandered around the garden for a while, stumbling upon a deserted room, only hoping for some coolness, and walked inside.

It was unclear who had lived in this room before, but it was spacious. Although unused, it wasn’t dilapidated.

After entering, Summer Sutton looked around the room, taking it all in.

She stared at everything set up in the room, gazing intently.

Outside, after she entered, there was a faint sound, like the door being locked.

Summer Sutton was too focused on studying the items inside the room to notice.

After touring the whole room, she tried to leave but tugged on the door several times, realizing it wouldn’t open.

She stared at the tightly closed door, her heart sinking in an instant.

If she remembered correctly, the path she just took was quite remote, without a single servant in sight in the garden.

This room’s location, the Winslow Family probably doesn’t have people coming by usually, right?

Summer Sutton even doubted if anyone passed by within fifty meters of this house.

If she was trapped here and never found, what would she do?

No food, no water, unable to contact others, would she just wait to die?

...

Not long after Summer Sutton left, Watt Bennet, feeling uneasy about her, started searching for her in the garden.

Hardly two minutes into his search, Lily Winslow suddenly emerged from a direction.

Lifting her face to look at him, Lily Winslow pointed towards the Winslow Family’s main gate and, calmly said, "Brother Watt, are you looking for her? She just left the Winslow Family."
