Chapter 1073: Let’s Get Divorced
After another ten minutes, the airplane still showed no sign of landing.
Old Master Ink stood on the ground watching from afar, feeling a bit shocked.
That’s strange, ever since that incident over a decade ago, how long has it been since this kid sat on an airplane?
As if he couldn’t believe it, he even picked up binoculars to take a closer look at Manuel Ink in the air.
He couldn’t see Manuel Ink’s expression clearly, but he could see Manuel sitting upright, not like before when just getting on an airplane would make him look like he’d suddenly fallen critically ill.
Old Master Ink watched from the ground, becoming more convinced that Summer Sutton was a good match for Manuel Ink.
Look at that, even so many years of aviophobia were cured!
The cane tapped the ground rhythmically, as if Old Master Ink was secretly pondering something.
The helicopter in the air continued to circle at low altitude, flying several rounds above the Ink Family residence, then moved to a nearby area.
By the time Manuel Ink and Summer Sutton got off the airplane, it was already noon.
Just in time for lunch.
During the meal, Old Master Ink stared at her repeatedly, examining her for quite a while, before blurting out, "By the way, where are you from?"
Summer Sutton had been at the Ink Family for quite some time, but he only now remembered to ask this question.
Summer assumed it was a usual inquiry and answered truthfully, "River City."
"River City, huh." Old Master Ink slowly chewed the name of her place, thought carefully, and then unexpectedly added, "The Sutton Family, that former prominent family?"
Having lived abroad for so many years, he still had some understanding of matters within the country.
Summer Sutton’s eyes dimmed slightly after his words, and she remained silent for a while, then nodded.
Old Master Ink then sighed for a moment, "Back in the day, the Sutton Family was also a noble family, what a pity, what a pity."
Summer Sutton didn’t reply after his comment.
The decline of the Sutton Family is a fact, once a noble clan, now only she remains...
Old Master Ink continued speaking, suddenly shifting his tone, "Although the Sutton Family has fallen, it once flourished, your family background still matches our Manuel."
Hearing up to this point, Summer finally understood the reason for his sudden interest in her.
So this was his intention?
Summer Sutton felt awkward as she continued to eat.
"How old are you this year?" Old Master Ink kept asking.
"Twenty-two," Summer Sutton said.
"Have you graduated from school?" the old master continued to ask.
If Manuel Ink were to marry a student, it didn’t seem very respectable.
"Grandpa Ink!" Summer Sutton didn’t directly answer the question, intending to tell him she was already married, but before the words left her mouth, Old Master Ink mumbled to himself again.
"That young man with you the other day, what’s your relationship? Are you married?"
"I tell you, you shouldn’t marry such a hot-headed guy, he’s like a dangerous person; one disagreement and it’s like handling a bomb. If you’re married, you should hurry and get divorced."
His assessment of Watt Bennet was always as dangerous as could be.
Little did he know, wasn’t his demeanor exactly the same as Watt Bennet’s?
Wasn’t he himself prone to explosive behavior?
He apparently didn’t care much about whether Summer Sutton was married, having no understanding of her and Watt’s situation, and directly encouraged Summer to divorce.
Summer Sutton found it hard to handle him, barely eating a few bites before leaving the dining table.
Not long after returning to the room, Manuel Ink came up with a small portion of food.
