Chapter 1071: I Think You and Manuel Make a Good Match

After Watt Bennet arrived, he walked slowly from the airport towards the main house and bumped into the Old Master halfway.

"Oh wow!" The Old Master looked at him, taunting with a sarcastic tone, "She made it crystal clear she doesn’t want to leave with you, so why are you even here?"

Watt ignored him, stepped past him, and stood where he had stood yesterday.

He glanced inside, looking for a glimpse of Summer Sutton.

But even after scanning the entire hall, he couldn’t catch even a shadow of her.

He wasn’t as restless as yesterday; he quietly continued waiting outside.

Once he came, he would wait all day.

No eating, no drinking, not afraid of the scorching summer sun.

For an entire day, he didn’t manage to leave with Summer Sutton, and for the next several days, he showed up at the Ink Family residence every day, right on time.

This continued for a week. Just as Summer Sutton was on the brink of breaking down watching him like this, Watt’s presence disappeared from the Ink Family’s home.

Not seeing him, Summer Sutton felt a surprising sense of relief.

She hoped that in her absence, he could maintain his normal life, eat three meals a day on schedule, rest on time, and continue working as usual.

Why wear himself out so much over her?

After Watt left, Summer Sutton developed a habit of checking domestic news.

Almost every day, she would follow news about Shining Sky.

From time to time, she would catch glimpses of Watt in the news.

He seemed to be just like before; wherever he appeared, it was as if he brought light with him, still so spirited.

This brought a sigh of relief to Summer Sutton.

...

It seemed the Old Master Ink had someone investigate Watt’s background, holding a newspaper that featured him.

"The new chief of Shining Sky, huh? So young and yet so volatile, picking fights without considering whose territory he’s barging into!"

He snorted, showing blatant disdain for Watt.

His gaze unexpectedly swept towards Summer Sutton, who was tidying up the living room. He suddenly uttered, "Actually, I think you’re right not to leave with that guy! There are plenty of excellent men in the world, but only one with such a hot temper. Miss one tree, and a whole forest awaits you, isn’t that right?"

He was trying to persuade Summer Sutton to give up on Watt.

Summer Sutton was speechless, paused her cleaning, and lifted her face, shooting him a glare, "Grandpa Ink!"

"What did I say wrong? It’s the truth." Old Master Ink snorted, shifting his gaze to Manuel Ink, who was just coming downstairs.

Giving Manuel a thorough once-over, he earnestly gave his opinion, "I think our Manuel here is quite remarkable. I believe you two would make a good match. Good family background, good person, and handsome to boot. Most importantly, he treats you well. Oh my, whose grandson is he, so perfect!"

He spoke bluntly, not worried about making Summer Sutton uncomfortable, filled with pride for Manuel Ink.

Summer Sutton was dumbfounded for a while, utterly speechless at him.

Manuel Ink turned his face slightly, unobtrusively stealing glances at Summer Sutton.

Summer Sutton’s eyes darted around as if the Old Master had put her in an awkward spot and she didn’t know where to focus her gaze.

"What do you say, am I right?" The Old Master seemed oblivious to her discomfort and even playfully nudged her with his elbow, and not gently at that.

He was forcefully pushing Summer Sutton to give her opinion on Manuel Ink.
