Chapter 1062: Let Her Go
Chapter 1062: Let Her Go
Summer Sutton stared blankly at his face, her gaze momentarily halted.
It seemed she hadn’t expected him to so quickly realize her absence. Watching him standing not far from her, Summer Sutton was lost in thought for a long time.
Manuel Ink merely glanced at her indifferently, his gaze then fixed on Watt Bennet’s face.
Watt was also looking at him, and as the two men’s eyes met, the temperature around seemed to suddenly drop, sending a chill down Summer Sutton’s spine.
Raising her face to look at one and then the other, she suddenly felt a bit uneasy.
Manuel Ink and Watt Bennet stared at each other for quite a while, then Manuel coldly said, "My goal is only her, let her get off the car."
Watt sneered at his words, as if finding them somewhat ironic.
"Under what identity are you asking me for her?" With no intention of letting Summer Sutton go, he instead extended an arm and hooked it around her shoulder.
At this moment, he brushed off his usual aloofness and instead seemed quite roguish.
As if deliberately trying to prove his relationship with Summer Sutton in front of Manuel Ink, he even pulled her into his embrace.
His words were meant to provoke Manuel Ink.
Little did he know, Manuel Ink was expressionless from beginning to end, unmoved by his actions.
"Did you ask her if she wants to be taken away?" Eyes meeting Watt Bennet’s, he asked coolly.
Though his words carried no emotion, they instantly froze the curve at Watt Bennet’s lips.
Was it even necessary to ask what Summer Sutton wanted?
Would she obediently go with him if her thoughts were asked?
With just one sentence, Manuel Ink cornered Watt Bennet.
Turning his head, Watt Bennet stared at Summer Sutton beside him.
Summer Sutton seemed a bit uneasy, her gaze continually shifting between him and Manuel Ink.
Manuel Ink didn’t pay much attention to Watt Bennet’s meaning, but stared directly at Summer Sutton saying, "Tell me what you think. As long as you want to go with him, I’ll have my people step aside immediately!"
His voice still carried no fluctuation, his cool eyes locked onto Summer Sutton, as if everyone else was non-existent, with only her in sight.
Summer Sutton knew Manuel Ink’s way.
Whatever he said, he would definitely do.
He had never forced her to do anything either.
After his words, Summer Sutton fell silent.
Her quietness suddenly made Watt Bennet uneasy.
His gaze stiffly turned to her side, and at this moment, Watt Bennet was unexpectedly tense.
Summer Sutton’s silence lasted for quite a while after Manuel Ink’s words, her side-eye drifting toward Watt Bennet; seeing his concern, she felt a bit unwilling.
But ultimately, she pushed the car door open.
"What I want to do is still unfinished, I can’t go back yet!" With that one sentence thrown at him, Summer Sutton closed the car door and slowly moved toward Manuel Ink.
"Summer Sutton!" Watt Bennet wanted to stop her, but Summer Sutton paused to look at him, and as their eyes met, Watt Bennet found himself at a loss for words.
If she’s unwilling to go back with him, what can he do?
Knock her out and drag her onto the plane again?
Summer Sutton looked at him for a long time, as if afraid that the longer she looked, the less she’d be able to leave, she turned away, bent down, and quickly got into Manuel Ink’s car.
"Let’s go!" With that sentence thrown at him, without looking ahead at Watt Bennet, Summer Sutton turned her gaze toward the window.
Manuel Ink followed and got into the car, and ordered the driver to start the vehicle slowly.
