Chapter 1060: Little Heartless One
Chapter 1060: Little Heartless One
The passport with a name consisting of three characters, he must not be using Watt Bennet’s identity.
Marshall Quinn thought about it briefly and suddenly understood.
Though Watt Bennet holds high status in the business world, he is somewhat of a legendary figure, he has only been in the public eye for less than two months, and not many people know him.
If there are a few people who can walk unhindered across countries in this world, Adrian Walyon is one of them.
Was the passport he just collected Young Master Walyon’s?
Summer Sutton was still in a deep sleep. Watt Bennet had put her in a sleeper hold, and no one knew how much force he had used. Summer Sutton hadn’t woken up since they left the hotel.
He brought her to the parking lot, got in the car, and Watt Bennet sat in the back seat, arranging her body so that her head rested on his lap, allowing for a more comfortable sleeping position.
"Let’s go!" he casually tossed a sentence to Marshall Quinn, while Watt Bennet’s gaze fell on the sleeping Summer Sutton’s face beside him.
Outside the window, the streetlights cast their light in, allowing Watt Bennet to clearly see her eyebrows and eyes.
Summer Sutton’s eyelashes fell quietly, like little fans, sleeping peacefully.
The soft sound of her breathing in such a quiet night made one’s heart settle down.
Watt Bennet stared at her carefully.
How long has it been since he’s seen her?
For days, he flew to over a dozen countries searching aimlessly for her, while she seemed rather content being by someone else’s side.
Ungrateful little thing!
The car moved slowly on the road, heading towards the airport.
Watt Bennet’s trip to North America actually involved some business matters, with meetings scheduled with several clients.
Yet, after finding Summer Sutton, other matters became less important to him; even business was no longer a concern.
Having not returned to his home country for a day, he was always worried she would leave again upon waking.
The hotel where Summer Sutton stayed was quite far from the airport, more than an hour’s drive.
In the car, Summer Sutton slept continuously at first.
As they neared the airport, almost ready to board the plane, perhaps due to Marshall Quinn’s abrupt steering, Summer Sutton suddenly woke up.
Her neck hurt a lot from maintaining a single sleeping position in the car.
The back of her neck hurt even more from Watt Bennet’s sleeper hold.
Her delicate brows knitted together repeatedly, and Summer Sutton groggily opened her eyes to look at the man’s face above her, then glanced out the window, confused by what was happening.
"Where are we going?" she asked suspiciously.
"Back to our home country," Watt Bennet replied succinctly.
Summer Sutton was startled for a moment, realizing what he said, and she panicked a bit.
"Stop the car! Stop the car! I can’t go back yet!" she demanded, knocking on the car window.
Watt Bennet seemed not to have heard, casting his gaze ahead at Marshall Quinn, and commanded softly, "Drive!"
Marshall Quinn, caught between the couple, felt somewhat awkward, yet faced with both Watt Bennet and Summer Sutton’s orders, he would undoubtedly choose to listen to Watt Bennet.
After all, Watt Bennet was more intimidating.
Hence, instead of stopping, Marshall Quinn drove faster.
Summer Sutton panicked a bit, clutching the door handle, trying to push the door open.
They were currently on a busy street, was she out of her mind?
After Summer Sutton persistently pushed several times, Watt Bennet’s face darkened.
Pressing her hand down, he pulled her into his arms.
"Let go!" Summer Sutton commanded coldly, her face steely.
Watt Bennet pretended not to hear, ignored her words, and didn’t release her, his gaze even languidly drifted toward the window.
