Chapter 1000: Why Are You in Such a Rush?

Chapter 1000: Why Are You in Such a Rush?

At the ceremony, he didn’t say anything, nor did he correct Summer Sutton’s words.

In doing so, he essentially acknowledged his relationship with Summer Sutton.

However, on the way back to the villa, his face was consistently stern.

As soon as they got out of the car, Watt Bennet grabbed Summer Sutton’s wrist and dragged her inside.

Even while sitting in his wheelchair, he moved quickly, pulling Summer Sutton with one hand and maneuvering the wheelchair with the other.

If it weren’t for the conspicuous wheelchair, how was he different from a normal person?

Summer Sutton was worried about his leg injury and followed behind, constantly trying to remind him, "Slow down! Slow down! Why the rush? We’re already home. It’s not like I can run off anywhere."

Her voice, though anxious, sounded coquettish to Watt Bennet’s ears.

What was originally quite normal speech somehow sounded different to him.

It was as if he was eager to drag her into the room to have his way with her...

Watt Bennet’s lips twitched severely two times.

This girl must be doing it on purpose, right?

Behind him, Summer Sutton tried several times to pull her hand out of his grasp, but failed, and mumbled discontentedly, "Can’t you be a little gentler?"

Watt Bennet ignored her words, let her go, and fixed his eyes firmly on her.

His gaze was serious. Although he was sitting and actually shorter than Summer Sutton, his presence was no less imposing than it used to be.

Being stared at by him like this, Summer Sutton inexplicably felt pressured.

"Miss Sutton, tell me, what were you doing tonight?" he asked expressionlessly.

Summer Sutton raised her eyebrows slightly and replied blandly, "I was pursuing you. Can’t you tell?"

Even though she was a girl, she didn’t blush while saying something like this.

Matching his gaze, her expression was earnest, her words clearly not a joke.

This version of her made Watt Bennet pause.

Summer Sutton did not explain further and nudged him into the house.

Her pursuit was directed at Watt Bennet.

Summer Sutton no longer cared under what identity he appeared before her. If he didn’t wish to return to being Adrian Walyon, she would accompany him to start anew as Watt Bennet!

As long as he was still himself, what did it matter what name he used?

Summer Sutton had figured this out over the past few days. What she wanted was just for him to be with her—not the prestige that came with the name Adrian Walyon, nor the background of the Walyon Family, just something so simple.

Regarding the public announcement of their relationship, she actually had her own little motives.

Adrian Walyon’s self-esteem was excessively proud. Such a proud man—if ever his leg injury was to never heal—Summer Sutton was somewhat afraid he might push her away again.

Now, by announcing it in front of so many people, she had bought some sort of insurance for their relationship.

After all, considering Adrian Walyon’s affection for her, Summer Sutton thought that once everyone knew about their relationship, he wouldn’t bear to abandon her and expose her to so much gossip.

To be honest, Summer Sutton had never truly felt at ease.

Watt Bennet seemed taken aback by her words, glancing sideways at her, staring at her back for a long, long time...

...

The next day, Summer Sutton did something that surprised him even more.

Early in the morning, just after breakfast at around nine, Summer Sutton dragged him out of the house.
