Chapter 117: Emergency Meeting

Chapter 117: Emergency Meeting

Reinhard called an emergency club meeting at six in the morning.

By the time he reached the club room, everyone was already there.

Sirin watched the door calmly, Yor sitting with hands clasped together, Alice leaning against the wall with arms crossed, Rika looking at him in concern, and Louis organizing papers.

"What happened?" Sirin demanded the moment Reinhard entered. "Your message sounded serious. Is someone hurt?"

Reinhard locked the door and activated the privacy wards. "Professor Victoria and I caught the spies in the academy last night. It was two instead of one and they were both professors."

The room fell silent.

Everyone stared at him with shock.

"Professors?" Alice’s voice was sharp. "Which ones? What were they doing?"

Reinhard took a breath and began explaining everything from them finding Professor Arnold with encrypted crystals. To the chase to Professor Morphin’s office, discovering the Void Assembly’s plans, and the meeting with Headmaster Isaac.

He also added in the other things such as what he and Yor talked about such as the Void Sovereign and her Sigil change.

The more he explained, the paler Yor’s face became.

"They have been monitoring me since I was a kid?" She whispered. "As preparation for some ritual?"

"That’s what Professor Morphin confessed," Reinhard confirmed gently. "The Void Assembly has been planning this for over a decade... And it seems they have been targeting your families for a long while."

Yor’s hands trembled and Sirin moved to sit beside her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"So they will keep coming for Yor until they are able to pull off their ritual." Louis said with a frown.

"Yes but we won’t let that happen."

"Agreed." Alice said with a smile.

"But how will we deal with them?" Sirin sighed before a frown appeared on her face. "I doubt this is something we can deal with."

"I doubt we will, most likely the headmaster and professors will." Rika says with a smile before then pausing. "But this means..."

"Yor might have to stay-"

"No, they will eventually try to find a way inside here... What we need to do is go to Silent Peak," Reinhard said simply.

Rika blinked before saying. "The mountain where Void Sigil users go to die. That Silent Peak?"

"Yes." Reinhard moved to the center of the room. "The Void Sovereign is sealed there. If Yor can reach the peak, then we might find out about the ritual and how the Void Assembly plans to used it to unseal the Sovereign."

Sirin held her chin and nodded slowly. "That’s logical and we might be able to figure out where the center of the ritual would be... Allowing the headmaster and professors to find the Void Assembly main members."

But it didn’t make the plan any less dangerous since all of that required them to actually make it.

"Wait," Alice paused before snapping her fingers. "Would the Headmaster even approve this?"

Reinhard admitted. "I already asked him."

Everyone stared at him in shock.

"You asked the Headmaster?" Sirin blinked in surprise. "What did he say?"

Reinhard met their eyes one by one. "He said if we can prove it’s necessary... If we bring him physical evidence that going to Silent Peak matters, then he’ll approve the trip with proper supervision."

"Physical evidence?" Louis immediately pulled out a notebook. "What kind of evidence would satisfy the Headmaster?"

"Historical records, or family accounts. Anything concrete showing that Silent Peak holds answers about the Void Sigils." Reinhard began listing on his fingers. "We need to prove the connection between the peak, the Sovereign, and Yor’s power."

They had one month to find evidence or wait for the Void Assembly to make their next capture attempt.

Sirin started pacing again, her mind clearly working through the problem. "We need multiple sources. Can’t rely on just one piece of evidence, the Headmaster will want corroboration from different angles."

"Agreed," Reinhard said. "So where do we look? Where would we find information about Silent Peak and its connection to Void Sigils?"

The group fell into brainstorming mode with Ideas flying back and forth rapidly.

"The History Department," Louis suggested immediately. "They have records going back centuries. Anything major that happened at Silent Peak should be documented somewhere."

"The main library too," Rika added quietly. "They have a restricted section with older texts. Might contain accounts from before Silent Peak became forbidden."

Alice tapped her chin thoughtfully. "What about the Noctyne Mansion? Yor’s family has been dealing with Void Sigils for generations. They must have records about Silent Peak if previous family members attempted the climb."

Yor nodded slowly. "My grandfather and grandmother went there a couple years ago. I think the found out something when reading the family records. They’re still at the mansion, I recall seeing them before."

Each suggestion added to the list. But would it be enough?

Reinhard glances at Yor. "What about your parents? You said they told you things after you healed them. Do they know more about Silent Peak that they haven’t shared yet?"

Yor’s expression flickered with something between hope and uncertainty. "Maybe? They seemed reluctant to talk about it before. Said it was too painful discussing where my grandfather died. But now that I can control my power..." She trailed off.

"Could you ask them?" Reinhard prompted gently. "See if they’re willing to share family knowledge about the peak?"

"I could try," Yor said softly. "They might be more willing to talk now. Especially if they know it’s to protect me from the Void Assembly."

But asking meant revealing the full danger Yor was in. Her parents had just gotten their emotions back. Would this news destroy their newfound peace?

"Wait," Alice interrupted suddenly. "Yor, did you just say you could call your parents? I thought they were still..." She paused delicately. "I thought they couldn’t communicate properly yet?"

The room fell silent.

Sirin, Alice, Louis, and Rika looked at Yor in confusion.

"Well..." Yor stammered while her hands twisting together. "I meant to mention this but..."

"Yor?" Sirin’s voice was gentle but curious.

Yor took a deep breath. "The truth was I finished healing the siblings on the first day... And then I visited my parents for the last two days where I was able to heal them."

The words hung in the air for exactly two seconds.

Then the room exploded with noise.

"You healed them?!" Sirin grabbed Yor’s hands with a grin on her face and her eyes shining with joy. "Your parents are okay? They have their emotions back?"

"T-That amazing!" Rika said with a faint smile. "I’m so happy for you, Yor."

Yor nodded, tears starting to fall as she smiled. "My father cried when he could feel again and my mother wouldn’t stop hugging me. They can laugh and love and feel everything again."

The relief and joy in the room was almost overwhelming after so much tension.

Alice let out a whoop of celebration and pulled Yor into a tight hug. "That’s amazing! Why didn’t you lead with that?!"

"I was going to tell everyone!" Yor protested through happy tears. "But I was just still recovering from it–"

Louis laughed before grinning at her. "It’s fine, I can understand you were just taking in... Regardless, this is the best news we’ve had in weeks!"

Sirin giggled before nodding with a smile. "I’m so happy for you. After everything you’ve been through, you deserve this."

Reinhard watched the celebration with a warm feeling in his chest. He laughed as Alice started spinning Yor around in circles while the others crowded close with more congratulations and questions about her parents’ reactions.

But even as he laughed, Reinhard’s eyes drifted to the list Louis had written down. He wrote down Yor asking her parents as the fourth one before he sighed. Even with this celebration, there was a lot of things they needed to do.

His gaze landed on the Noctyne Mansion.

That would be the first place they should check. It should hold many records and books about the Void Sigils. Yor would guide them, show them where her family kept records about Void Sigils and Silent Peak.

"Alright everyone," Reinhard called out, bringing the celebration to a gentle pause. "We can finish the celebration after we figure out the full plan."

"I agree." Sirin nodded before then holding her chin. "The first place we should go would be the mansion. I’m guessing that’s what you also believe in?"

"Yeah, it’s the most direct source. If anyone documented the truth about Silent Peak, it would be the people who’ve been sending Void Sigil users there for a hundred years."

"What are we hoping to find specifically?" Louis asked with his pen ready to take notes.

"Accounts of previous climbs," Sirin answered before Reinhard could. "Descriptions of what’s at the peak. Any information about the Void Sovereign’s seal or what happens to Void users who reach the summit."

"And most importantly," Reinhard added, "we need to find proof that going there matters. That it’s not just a death trap but an actual solution to Yor’s situation."

Rika spoke quietly but everyone heard her. "What if we don’t find anything? What if the mansion has no useful information?"

"Then we move to the next location," Reinhard said firmly. "The History Department. The library. We keep searching until we have what we need."

The hunt for evidence had begun.

And everything depended on what they found in the shadows of Yor’s family history.
