“So, do you think we can hurry this up?” I still have some Russians to go deal with,” Adam asked as he glanced at the drone's video footage that had appeared in the bottom corner of his HUD.
“Russians?” Greg asked in confusion
“Don’t forget about negotiating with the heads of the five families,” Stacey reminded him.
“Negotiating with the heads of the five families?” Jimmy repeated.
“I know?” Adam said with a smile as he stroked Stacey’s hair.
“Alright, listen up, you two,” Tephe began in an annoyed voice, “I’m getting fed up with you blocking our way, so move aside, or I’ll burn you alive.”
“Tephe?” Stacey asked as they all looked at her in surprise.
“We need to get to Fenix Nest and meet up with Revi and these two are just delaying us,” Tephe replied while pointing at Greg and Jimmy.
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): That’s my goddaughter. I raised you right.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Did you even raise her?]
“Burn us alive?” Greg asked before adding with a smug grin, “How do you plan to do that?”
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Oh, he really shouldn’t have asked that.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): He’s totally going to regret asking that.]
“I’m glad you asked,” Tephe replied before inhaling a small breath of air, after which a small white-hot fireball left her mouth and hit a table nearby, reducing it to ashes.
“Please stop destroying the furniture," Benson said in annoyance.
[Justiceistruth (Earth): The butler just saw a young girl spout fire and he’s more worried about the table?]
“Da fuck was that?” Greg asked, his smirk turning to shock.
“Did she just spout fire?” Jimmy asked.
“It was my breath attack, I’m a dragon, not a phoenix,” Tephe replied before thinking of something and adding, “though I am apparently the goddaughter of one.”
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): No, apparently about it, dear goddaughter.]
“Dragon? Goddaughter of a Phoenix? What?” Jimmy asked in bewilderment.
“They don’t seem able to comprehend Tephe’s statement. At this point, it’s probably easier to just show them,” Stacey said with a sigh.
“Can I?” Tephe asked while turning to Adam, who nodded in response.
Tephe smiled before she deactivated the earring, allowing her horns, tail and wings to become visible.
“My lord!” Benson remarked in shock.
“I would show you my true form, but my transformation would destroy the entire building, which I don’t think you would appreciate,” Tephe said proudly, enjoying the three's shocked looks.
“Thank… thank you for your consideration,” Benson replied as another bead of sweat ran down his neck.
“Now,” Tephe said as she turned back to Greg and Jimmy before saying, “That breath attack was small compared to what I’m capable of, so if you don’t want to die, I suggest you move aside.”
As Tephe spoke to them, they observed how her tail swished back and forth and the occasional tiny white-hot flame which escaped her mouth.
Eventually, Greg and Jimmy nodded at each other before stepping aside.
“Good choice,” Tephe nodded before turning to Adam with a proud smile.
[MercheadAnderson (Palaxia): They actually moved aside.]
[HackerSu (Trillion): Well, no one wants to die, especially to an angry dragon.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Such a let down.]
[OracleRomy (Elysium): Look how proud she is of herself. 😹]
[LadyErkath (Alastor): She totally wants more head pats.]
“You're after another head pat, aren’t you?” Stacey asked with a smile.
“Of course,” Tephe nodded before adding, “Adam’s head pats are the best.”
[LadyErkath (Alastor): Told you.]
Adam chuckled at their interaction before approaching the door while saying, “Let’s go.”
“Booo,” Tephe pouted since Adam didn’t give her another head pat.
“There, there,” Stacey said as she raised her hand and stoked Tephe’s hair.
Tephe smiled before saying, “Not as good as Adam’s, but it still feels nice. Feel free to do it more often.”
“I’ll consider it,” Stacey said as she began to follow Adam.
“Yay,” Tephe said happily before joining them while she reactivated the earring and hid her dragon features.

Adam opened the door to find Robert sitting on an expensive couch as a beautiful young maid massaged his shoulders from behind.
“Who are you?” Robert asked in surprise as the maid stopped massaging his shoulders and observed the three who had just entered.
“Not sure Nada would approve of another man touching her toy,” Adam said with a smirk before asking, “Or is she no longer your queen?”
“What?” Robert asked in shock as he sat up straighter.
“Don’t try anything funny, little maid,” Stacey warned as she looked at the maid before adding, “The last one who tried something ended up dead.”
“Excuse me?” The maid asked in confusion.
“You put your guard up as soon as we entered. It’s the same stance that Emma had before she attacked me,” Stacey explained.
“Ohhh, do I get to beat this one up too?” Tephe asked hopefully.
“That’s up to her,” Stacey replied.
[RealOtaku (Earth): Wait, wait, wait. Are these combat maids?]

“Emma’s dead?” The maid asked as both she and Robert showed surprised expressions.
“BENSON!” Adam called out, causing the butler to appear in the doorway.
“You called,” Benspn replied.
“Kindly order this maid to stand down before we have a repeat of the earlier situation,” Adam instructed.
“Anna, you heard Mr Spencer, I suggest you do as he instructed if you don’t want to end up like Emma,” Benson said as he turned to the maid named Anna.
“Wait, so Emma is dead?” Anna asked in surprise, while Robert also showed a surprised expression.
“Errrr, I’m not sure?” Benson said honestly.
“How can you not be sure? She’s either dead or she isn’t,” Robert snapped.
“Well… she disintegrated,” Benson explained.
“Excuse me?” Anna asked.
“Disintegrated?” Robert repeated.
“Like this,” Stacey said as she raised her blaster and pointed it at the couch opposite the one Robert was sitting on.
“NO!” Benson cried, but too late. A red light flashed as a blaster bolt struck the couch before it disintegrated.
“Please STOP disintegrating all the furniture,” Benson cried.

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Gotta feel for the dude, he’s slowly losing it.]

“What the fuck!” Robert cursed while Anna looked at the spot where the couch had once been with shock.
“See, disintegration,” Stacey said smugly.
Adam sighed as he looked at Stacey while wondering if it was wise to keep giving this girl new weapons. First, the rocket launcher and now the blaster, she seemed to enjoy using them whenever she had the opportunity.
“Right,” Adam said as he turned back to Anna before continuing, “If you don’t want to be like that couch, don’t do anything stupid.”
Anna gulped and nodded before slowly moving away from the couch Robert was sitting on to stand by one of the walls.
“Anna? What the fuck are you doing? Get back over here, your job is to protect me,” Robert ordered angrily.

“Afraid she won’t be able to save you from death,” Adam replied as he raised his force staff.

“Why are you all so keen to kill me? What did I even do to any of you?” Robert asked in panic.
“You tried to kidnap someone we care about,” Adam replied.
“Kidnap? Who?” Robert asked.
“Do you really arrange the kidnappings of so many people that you don’t even know who we are talking about?” Stacey asked in disgust.
“You mean Emma Hopkins?” Robert replied in surprise.
“Yup, we know all about the naughty plan you and Nada cooked up,” Tephe said as she bounced up and down.
“Shame she was just using you and never really loved you,” Stacey teased with a vicious smirk.

“How… how's that possible?” Robert replied before realising what he said and quickly said, “I… I mean, I have no idea what you're talking about.”
