Chapter 565 - 555: Some Strange Young People (Part 2)

When Liu Fugui looked towards him, Huang Yong couldn't help but be startled, and hurriedly took a few steps forward and whispered in his ear: "Boss Liu, sorry, I heard from my guys that this kid was like this when he was first caught, seems like he was traumatized by something. I'll get him out of here right away so you don't get annoyed by this."

After speaking, Huang Yong immediately gave his men a look, signaling them to escort the young man out.

With orders from above, the subordinates dared not be negligent, stepped forward and delivered a kick, then cursed out loud: "Damn it, get up and get the hell out of here!?"

But before the two subordinates could make another move, Liu Fugui's deep voice came out: "Hey? What are you all doing? Stop it immediately!"

After saying that, Liu Fugui slowly got up from behind the desk and walked over to the young man, and after taking a look at him, without warning, he slapped each of the two subordinates:

"Have you all forgotten what I've told you? In these apocalyptic times, we humans should be united. Anyone who comes to our factory is a guest! Just look at your behavior earlier, huh? Like a bunch of bandits. What are you standing there for? Untie the guest right away!"

Utterly bewildered, the two subordinates felt extremely wronged. They really couldn't remember Liu Fugui ever saying "all who come are guests," and even if he did, it was meant for confidants like Huang Yong and He Lei, nothing to do with them.

Despite their inner doubts, they dared not show a bit of it on their faces.

Puzzled, they could only glance sideways at Huang Yong, seeking instructions on what to do next.

Seeing them both looking at him, Huang Yong rolled his eyes and looked at them disdainfully, inwardly cursing the two subordinates as useless.

What a joke! Liu Fugui had clearly given the order, so they should just do what they're told. But these two fools were still signaling him, dragging him into trouble. If Liu Fugui saw that, it would be disastrous, as if showing defiance against Liu Fugui, suggesting that Liu Fugui's orders still needed Huang Yong's approval. Otherwise, everything would be in vain.

Suppressing his irritation, Huang Yong had no choice but to personally untie the young man and angrily reprimand his two subordinates after doing so.

Meanwhile, Liu Fugui acted as if none of this existed. He kindly helped the young man stand up, then assisted him to sit on the sofa, and only then did he calmly stop Huang Yong's scolding: "Enough! Talk about their mistakes later. Now, go get our guest a bowl of hot noodles immediately."

Hearing this, Huang Yong quickly shifted his tone and passed on the order: "What are you standing around for? Didn't you hear Boss Liu's order? Go get some noodles for the guest, quick! Move it!"

The two subordinates were seriously filled with resentment, who did they provoke? If they had known all their efforts would result in this, they wouldn't have captured this young man even at gunpoint.

Ten minutes later, the two subordinates reluctantly knocked on the chairman's office door, and though extremely unwilling inwardly, they had no choice but to obediently bring in a bowl of steaming plain noodles as Liu Fugui had requested.

Taking the noodles, Liu Fugui shed his usual solemnity and warmly said like a kindly father:

"Come on, young man, by the looks of you, it's been a while since you had a full meal, right? Have this bowl, eat it while it's hot."

The young man looked at the plain noodles in front of him, his eyes shining. After the recent rest, he somewhat regained his spirit.

Yet the survival rules of the outside world had long made him vigilant, although he really wanted to take the chopsticks and devour the bowl of hot noodles so close to him, reason told him not to. He suppressed the urge, swallowed his saliva, and remained motionless, occasionally glancing at Liu Fugui with his eyes.

Knowing Liu Fugui, who was sharp-eyed, he immediately saw through the young man's thoughts, and with a chuckle, he picked up the bamboo chopsticks, took a noodle, and happily put it in his mouth. After swallowing, he commented savoringly: "Hmm, not bad, today's broth was made with the chicken soup brewed yesterday, right?"

Seeing Liu Fugui ask, the two subordinates rushed to reply: "Yes, Boss Liu, these noodles were indeed made with chicken soup by Chef Liu."

"Good!" Liu Fugui nodded with satisfaction: "Perfect, our guest needs some nourishment. Come on, little brother, no need to hold back, you're one of us now that you're here, relax. Take it, eat it while it's hot, it's much less flavorful if it cools down."

Once again, placing the chopsticks in the young man's hands, the latter hesitated a bit, looked at Liu Fugui, who smiled warmly and nodded towards the plain noodles, signaling him to start.

Facing the enticing noodles, the starving young man finally gave in, unable to suppress his hunger any longer. He picked up the large bowl and began slurping the noodles eagerly.

When a person who's been starving for days suddenly gets a chance to eat to their fill, you can imagine how shocking his eating could be.

Seeing this, the two subordinates involuntarily licked their lips, feeling envious: "Damn, that kid really hit the jackpot. I bust my ass every day and can't even get chicken soup, and this kid gets to eat this on the first day. It's so damn infuriating how some people have such luck!"

"Take it slow, don't choke. If you want more, there's plenty. No rush!" Liu Fugui continued his paternal role, occasionally patting the young man to help him catch his breath, worried he might choke from eating too fast.

Watching this, Huang Yong almost dropped his jaw on the floor.

What the hell is going on? If sitting there was Liu Yunpeng, Liu Fugui's behavior wouldn't be surprising. Liu Fugui only has that son, and pampering him isn't excessive.

But who the hell is this young man? Just some random nobody.

Could it be that Liu Fugui has some ulterior motive for this sickly guy? This is the only reasonable explanation Huang Yong can think of right now.

Given what he knows about Liu Fugui, there's no way this person would do such a kind deed.

If he's doing it, there's sure to be some benefit involved.

Yet no matter how Huang Yong thought about it, he couldn't figure out what Liu Fugui saw in this guy, who seemed entirely useless besides being zombie feed.

While Huang Yong was baffled, the young man gradually finished the large bowl of hot noodles. (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote for recommendations and monthly tickets on Qidian (qidian.com). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read at m.qidian.com.)
