Chapter 182 Strongest

Chapter 182 Strongest

It wasn't only Japan that noticed the rising trend that could topple the society as they knew it. Even United State of America were having a secret meeting in The Pentagon. The US President, Trump in his wisest had tried enforcing ban on the game by restricting the capsule sell as much as his power allowed. But knowing the american's spirit, the people will still find their own way to somehow play the game. There's already a small crowd protesting about the ban in New York, and it's slowly growing in numbers. Some news articles even claimed this was the beginning of censorship, bogus claim only for the clicks.

However, those in the knows secretly support it. Such as Scandinavia and Iceland based in Northern Europe, clearly they have some supernatural force backing them up as they're rather upfront about it. But they aren't the only ones, some smaller countries also showed their supports almost as if they had rehearsed this in a secret meeting room without inviting the US. Especially Malaysia and Philippines. If one thinks about it, they should've been against it, that is if the capsule price hadn't been lowered to these countries instead of going for the global price. Thus, even the people in third world could play the game.

One conspiracy theorist on a certain forum suggested the company behind it does it solely to gains as many players as they possibly could. In hindsight, he should've bought a ton of lottery tickets cause he would have been a millionaires with how on the mark his nonsensical remarks turned out to be.

Meanwhile, the person behind it all were looking out of the window, pretending his English Teacher weren't trying to flirt with him again during the class. It might have been a clone of the original who was busy elsewhere, however, anything made by Morgan would be nothing but trouble to him. It's as if she enjoys seeing his reaction to her shenanigans.

He could've done the same, let his clone attend the school for him while he could enjoy snuggling with his obsessed cat at home. But a man of his caliber was too paranoid for his own good. Kousuke had seen how the clone wars ended, any clone out of him would no doubt possessed greater risk to the world than any stray devil could dream of.

After all, the ex Hero could've turned out as the antagonist of the Hero Returns if he came home to find his parents were dead. He was barely hanging on his sanity back then, so he desperately clung to anything that could gives him the feedbacks that the human in him hadn't died yet. That results in the harem he have today.

And now, he weren't holding onto the tight rope as if his life depends on it. Instead, it wrapped securely around his humanity, thus making him less prone to becoming bloodlust all of sudden. Reading the online articles about the ban of his game in the US, Kousuke entertain the idea of trolling the whole country by turning their President to woman overnight but decided against it. The clean-up wouldn't be worth it, at least not now.

"The new era is upon us," he muttered softly while gazing at the screen of his phone. It was none other than the obscure forum where top players resides to talk about the changes they experienced in real life. It wouldn't be difficult for him to stop the government from peeking into the forum if he wanted to, after all, his maid had kept a close eye on them so he could easily pinpoint the fake and bare them from the internet—but there's no fun in that.

'It was honestly entertaining watching them pretending to be players without knowing much about the game,' he thought amusedly. Each time they almost exposed themselves, he had to intervened to distracted the rest of the players from growing any suspicion. Though he was also the one who raised the bar a little, which made them rather nervous most of the time.

'But still, what are these names? Angelic_Ninja? That's clearly Megatron! You ain't fooling anyone gurl. Maybe I should add Megatron or Decepticons into one of her titles, nah... that will be too obvious. Nonetheless, good for her, finally attaining that legendary ninjutsu she wanted so much.' There are quite a lot of references he had inserted into the game, anyone who was smart enough should be able to take full advantage of it.

Kousuke thought it was strange that the government or those behind the scene never consider playing the game to power up themselves. If they had taken the bait, he could easily put a tracker on them and ends their plot before it begins. Though so far, it appears the japan government at least were playing the waiting game. He was certain of that because nothing could escape Belfast's gaze the moment he decides to turn the whole country into his spawn point.

At the very least, as a japanese citizen, he didn't want to make an enemy out of his country if he could talk it out with them. In the first place, his goal isn't the chaos—but to prepare the humanity for what's coming. The chaos is only the beginning, and what comes after that depends on themselves.

If it was worse than he expected, he would brings all of his loved ones into the Sacred Gear and returns to Otherworld. That's right, Kousuke had considered abandoning Earth completely. For better or worse, he is only a human at heart after all. He cares more about his family than strangers from the other side of the world. And yet, he still decides to give them a chance in the form of video game.

'But things won't get that bad right? I'm the strongest after all,' he thought jokingly. Kousuke wasn't afraid that things could get more dicey because of his action. As an ex Hero, he knew best that people only grows quickly when they're putting their life on the line. He had went through countless trials and errors and reached a conclusion—the best training is the most extreme one.
